    Safety Officer

    Reporting to and working closely with the Barge Master. Specific responsibilities are, but not limited to, the following:

    • Oversees PMS of all LSA and FFA equipment and systems as per computer based maintenance, purchasing and inventory software (TM Master).
    • Oversees and monitors the effectiveness of on-board reporting of incidents, accident, near misses and non-conformances.
    • Assists the Master with the continuous improvement of the SMS.
    • Ensures all emergency contacts are current.
    • Identifies and implements Company SMS training.
    • Ensure that an effective “T Card” system and /or any other electronically designed equipment (epic/POB system) for this purpose are in place on-board.
    • Monitors the effectiveness of familiarization and training.
    • Oversees safety briefings of all non-seafaring personnel arriving on-board e.g. client’s personnel.
    • Coordinates all safety activities with other safety stakeholders (deck, engine room, catering, etc) e.g. ensures permit to work, JSA / Risk Assessment, etc are in place.
    • Updates muster lists, emergency plans and fire envelopes in coordination with the Master.
    • Ensures that the bridging document is reviewed for all safety, pollution and emergency response issues.
    • Monitors the inventory of all FFA, LSA and oil spill response consumables and update the same on TM Master.
    • Keeps register of all hazardous materials and up to date MSDS.
    • Ensures all safety videos on-board are routinely shown.
    • Acts as a member of the emergency team as dictated in the Muster List.
    • Responsible for arranging Safety Meetings / Toolbox talks and maintaining records.
    • Read, understand and comply with the Master’s standing orders and night orders (whenever applicable).

    REQUIREMENT

    Crane Operator

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Reporting to and working closely with the Chief Officer (Deck). Specific responsibilities are, but not limited to, the following:

    • Be fully conversant with the layout and parameters of the vessel and familiarize himself with the type of crane and Telescopic Gangway (if installed) on board including its operational requirements, Safe Working Load (SWL), general maintenance, safety features, procedures, etc.
    • Comply with the instructions given by Chief Officer (Deck) pertaining to daily and operational requirements and lifting operations.
    • Carry out safety checks on the crane & telescopic gangway before and after lifting operation and must maintain an accurate & updated log.
    • Ensure that the load is known and within the SWL of crane prior to starting lifting operations. No cargo / material should be lifted if deemed unsafe (improper slinging, bad weather, beyond SWL, etc).
    • Ensure that the site area is clear of unauthorized personnel and barricaded prior to starting the crane and telescopic gangway.
    • Assist the engineers in crane and telescopic gangway maintenance and report any defects to the engineers on time for repairs.
    • Participates in JSA/Risk Assessment and Toolbox talks.
    • Assist and perform, as directed by the Bosun with permission with Chief Officer (Deck), this includes painting/chipping and cup brushing of the main deck and accommodation structure.
    • Acts as a member of the emergency team as dictated in the Muster List.
    • Responsible for the safety and welfare of seafarer deck including observing PPE compliance on-board.

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • Minimum Age of 20 years
    • Passport with at least 12 months validity
    • Valid Seaman’s Identification and Record Book
    • Drug and Alcohol Certificate
    • Yellow Fever Certification and Chicken Pox Vaccination
    • OPITO accredited BOSIET /HUET

    • Seafarers with designated security duties (STCW VI/6.5 and Section A-VI/6.6)
    • Recognized Crane Operator License (Unsupervised) (Where applicable)
    • ISL Internal Gangway Training (Where applicable)
    • At least 5 years’ experience as an offshore crane operator on an Accommodation Barge or Vessel
    • At least 2 years’ experience as a Gangway Operator (if required for the vessel)
    • Excellent command of the English Language
    • Must be able to work under pressure and with tight deadlines

    Winch Operator

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Reporting to and working closely with the Chief Engineer. Specific responsibilities are, but not limited to, the following:

    • Make himself fully conversant with the layout and parameters of the vessel and familiarize himself with the type of anchor winch on board including its operational requirements, general maintenance, safety features and procedures.
    • Comply with the instructions given by the Chief Engineer pertaining to daily and operational requirements.
    • Carry out routine general maintenance of winches under the assistance and supervision of barge engineers as per computer-based Inventory and Maintenance software TM Master and must maintain an accurate & updated log.
    • Report any defects to the Chief Engineer for further actions as deemed necessary.
    • Operate and control winches efficiently and as per the direction given by the Barge Master whenever required.
    • Assist the engineers in maintaining high standards of housekeeping in all areas of engine department such as engine room, machinery spaces, store rooms and others.
    • Perform lubricating, greasing and cleaning of machineries, stripping & cleaning of engine room bilges, under the direction and supervision of the engineers.
    • Participates in JSA/Risk Assessment and Toolbox talks.
    • Acts as a member of the emergency team as dictated in the Muster List.
    • Comply with E/R standing orders.
    • Familiarize himself with the vessel’s Safety Management System (SMS) and emergency procedures in particular his own assigned emergency duties in that respect.

    Chief Engineer

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Reporting to and working closely with the Master & Technical Superintendent. Specific responsibilities are, but not limited to, the following:

    • The Chief Engineer holds total responsibility for the Engine Department, the technical installations & associated equipment throughout the vessel.
    • He is responsible for developing and controlling plans for the maintenance of all technical installations on board the vessel, and forward purchase requisitions to the Technical Superintendent according to Company’s procedures.
    • Responsible for the controlling and updating of machinery and equipment maintenance on TM Master.
    • The Chief Engineer has a duty to motivate and follow up fellow workers within his department to comply with HSE and SMS objectives and requirements.
    • The Chief Engineer has the authority and responsibility to manage the Engine Department according to national and international laws, rules and regulations, and Charterer’s and Owners instructions for the same.
    • The Chief Engineer is to supervise daily running of all machinery including main deck & rescue equipment.
    • The Chief Engineer is to select the correct operational modes for each machinery component, with special regards to fuel economy and life time costs for the different components.
    • Issue written standing orders / Night orders to his staff for efficient running of the Engine Department, at sea, anchor, on tow and in port, and for their guidance in an emergency and otherwise for safe and efficient operations of the machinery.
    • The Chief Engineer is to perform watch duty if and when required.
    • The Chief Engineer is to be in the engine room during special operations where his presence is required.
    • The Chief Engineer is to prepare a “yard work list” for all proposed repairs and maintenance to be done during dry-docking /maintenance time.
    • The Chief Engineer is responsible for ensuring that the vessel has the necessary spare parts and tools onboard in due time before performing all planned maintenance.
    • The Chief Engineer is responsible to review the spare parts stock and make recommendations for changes according to relevant charter party, routes and trade areas whenever requires with minimum one revision (compulsory), prior to budgeting for next year.
    • The Chief Engineer shall verify that the vessel’s spare part system including critical parts is correct, used and updated continuously as per company procedures.

    • High Voltage (only if vessel supply operating at 1,000V + AC Current)
    • Ship (Bridge / Engine Room) Resource Management (STCW Part B-V111/2)
    • Ship Security Awareness (STCW Reg-VI/6.2 and Section A-VI/6.4)
    • Seafarers with designated security duties (STCW VI/6.5 and Section A-VI/6.6)
    • DP Maintenance Certificate (where applicable) – minimum experience should be 10 weeks on previous DP Vessel and 4 weeks on the subject Vessel.
    • At least 3 years’ experience as a Chief Engineer on Accommodation Barge.

    2nd Engineer

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Reporting to and working closely with the Chief Engineer. Specific responsibilities are, but not limited to, the following:

    • Control of engineering staff for the daily operations of all Machinery and Systems onboard the ship, maintenance and repair work in line with the TM Master (Tero Marine – An Integrated Marine Information System).
    • Participate in the general planning of ship’s machinery maintenance in accordance to TM Master (based on manufacturer’s recommendation and marine practice).
    • Be familiar with the ship’s systems, repair schedules, and test results obtained from oil and water samples.
    • Lead raising requisition of spare parts in co-operation and agreement with the Chief Engineer.
    • Repair any failure and follow up with adequate DRR (Defect & Repair Report).
    • Ensure that all safety requirements are met before and during maintenance (this includes issuance of Work Permit, Risk Assessment and other Safety procedure).
    • Responsible for keeping engine room logs during the watch and ensure that all repairs and happenings are noted in the Engine Room log-book.
    • Perform watch duties in ECR.
    • Assist during bunkering operations.
    • Responsible for keeping the Engine room and other areas (that belong to Engine Department) clean and tidy.
    • Comply with the E/R standing orders.
    • Familiarize himself with the vessel’s Safety Management System (SMS) and emergency procedures in particular his own assigned emergency duties in that respect.​

    ETO - Electro Technical Officer

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Reporting to and working closely with the Chief Engineer. Specific responsibilities are, but not limited to, the following:

    • Perform maintenance of vessel’s power generating machinery & equipment electrical system.
    • Perform DP Electrical System maintenance (only on DP Vessel).
    • Perform maintenance of electrical motors on board the vessel such as inside the engine room, deck and inside accommodation area.
    • Perform maintenance of all switchboards including main and emergency switchboard.
    • Perform maintenance of vessel’s Fire Safety System such (1) Fire Detection and Alarm System, (2) Fire Fighting System (Sprinkler, CO2, Water Misting and Wet Suppressant System.
    • Perform maintenance of Battery System that includes (1) Batteries connected to all machinery, (2) Emergency battery for Alarm and Emergency Lights (3) all the rest of Batteries fitted on board.
    • Perform maintenance of electrical system on HVAC (Heating, Ventilation and Air-conditioning) System of the vessel.
    • Perform maintenance of Refrigeration System (walk-in freezer, containerized freezer & chiller, commercial fridge) of the vessel.
    • Perform maintenance of vessel’s crane electrical system.
    • Assisting second engineer, chief officer and safety officer in all kinds of electrical problems on board the vessel.
    • Perform maintenance of CCTV monitoring system including the remote system on bridge and engine control room.
    • Perform maintenance of vessel’s Helideck communication and monitoring system.
    • Verification electrical / electronic equipment on board is suitable and compatible to the vessel electrical system and complies with the proper Standard, Rules and Regulations for electrical equipment.
    • Perform maintenance of suitable physical stock of spare parts for all electrical/electronic equipment on board on actual and ensuring stock reflected accurately on TM Master.
    • Performing and delegating jobs for the Planned Maintenance on TM Master.
    • Training and assisting to members of maintenance team/electricians. Ensuring new personnel fully conversant with the layout and parameters of the vessel.
    • Perform electrical isolations for general maintenance and repair purposes, consistent with company procedural directives and Lock-out / Tag-out requirements.

    REQUIREMENT:
