    Housekeeper

    Job Description

    • To support in ensuring that COOPI office premises, guest house, and surrounding areas are tidy and clean.
    • To maintain their hygiene and cleanliness. They use specific tools and equipment to clean and organize areas efficiently and time effectively.

    Main Duties / Responsibilities

    • Emptying waste bins or similar receptacles, transporting waste material to designated collection points on a daily basis;
    • Daily sweeping and mopping floors of offices, guest rooms, common areas and storerooms with brushes or dust control mops and wet or damp mops.
    • Daily dusting and/or damp wiping, washing or polishing furniture, windows sills, external surfaces of cabinets, shelves, chairs, etc. in offices, guest house and common areas.
    • Cleaning toilets, urinals, hand basins and sinks on a daily basis in offices, guest house and common areas.
    • Replenishing consumable items (soap, toilet rolls, paper towels, etc.) in the guest rooms, offices, and designated hand washing areas throughout the compound as appropriate.
    • Sweep the compound on a daily basis or as necessary.
    • Using antiseptic solutions and detergent as appropriate for cleaning and laundry.
    • Maintain general tidiness of the guest rooms and offices including making beds and arranging the rooms neatly.
    • Assist with cooking and buying groceries when required to do so.
    • Report to the logistics officer on cleaning stock levels (i.e. shortage of toilet papers, powder soap, etc.) and request for replacement.
    • Report to the Logistics officer any non-functioning and/or broken items, equipment, furniture, etc. in the guest house, office and common areas in the compound;
    • Ensure highest standards of personal hygiene, including showering and changing of personal work clothes on daily basis.
    • Render laundary services to guest house residents.
    • Perform any other duties as required.

    Profile of the Candidate (Educational Qualification, Experience, Training, Competences, Skills)
    Minimum Requirements:

    • Diploma / Certificate in Hospitality / Housekeeping, with previous experience working in similar positions

    Skills & Experience:
    Essential:

    • Be professional, motivated, flexible, and culturally sensitive
    • Experience in cooking different dishes, cleaning, and general sanitation
    • Have excellent communication, skills.
    • At least 3 years’ experience working for international organization in a similar role.

    Preferred:

    • Knowledge of the English language (spoken & written).
    • Previous experience in a similar position.
    • Knowledge of the local language.

    Child Protection Information Management System (CPIMS) Officer 1

    The Project

    • The BHA (Bureau of Humanitarian Assistance) project, Integrated Emergency Response to the Displaced Population in Zamfara, Sokoto, And Katsina States, Northwest Nigeria” will be carried out by a consortium of partners that include the Alliance for International Medical Action (Alima), Cooperazione Internazionale (COOPI), Life Helpers Initiative (LHI) and Grassroot Initiative for strengthening Community Resilience (GISCOR) led by International Rescue Committee (IRC) aims to leverage each partner's expertise to provide immediate humanitarian assistance to internally displaced people populations through area-based approach. The Consortium partners will provide an integrated multisectoral intervention in Health, Nutrition, WASH, Protection, and Multi-purpose Cash Assistance (MPCA) activities in Zamfara, Katsina, and Sokoto states in collaboration with state governments, UN organizations and other key actors in Northwest Nigeria. The project will be implemented by a dedicated support, quality assurance, and coordination team, who will work closely with all partners through a management unit of well-structured consortium governance for the activity.

    Role Purpose

    • The post holder will be responsible for CP/GBV program data management including management of the Child Protection Information Management System and Gender Based Violence Information System (CPIMS/GBVIMS). The role holder will ensure correct data entry, safe custody of all quantitative and qualitative data related to comprehensive case management (CP and GBV) in accordance with Case Management Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). S/he will be responsible for the day to day management of the CPIMS/GBVIMS (Database) and ensure confidentiality. The post holder will ensure timely and efficient data entry, analysis and proactively share relevant data with the relevant agencies – UNICEF and UNFPA on regular basis (monthly). This position is resident in Sokoto

    Key Areas of Accountability

    • Enter data accurately and in a timely manner from all case management forms into the inter-agency child protection database, request additional information from CP/GBV staff, submitting the forms when necessary, ensure efficient data capture processes and generate reports on caseload and statistics for the CPIMS+ Manager or line Manager or other partners when required.
    • Review caseload and monitor statistics with the line Manager; setting targets for case follow-ups and closure and identify gaps as appropriate.
    • Actively participate and facilitate trainings and meetings on FTR, case management, data management, reporting, monitoring and evaluation, CM SOPs and issues of confidentiality.
    • Maintain an appropriate filling system of received, open and closed cases as received from the project teams and from other FTR and case management partners.
    • Ensure adequate stock and management of all FTR tools; booklets or forms, files and back-up system in consultation with the line manager.
    • Assign database codes to new individual cases in an organized and accurate manner.
    • Work with the senior case management officer, CPIMS manager and MEAL team to monitor data collection through consistency checks, validation and verification.
    • Design additional data entry excel sheets for non FTR cases based on needs and requests.
    • Ensure the database is backed-up regularly and shared with the CPIMS manager.
    • Ensure documentation of all distribution of NFIs for FTR and non FTR cases based on donors.
    • Support compilation of the Output Tracker & Indicator Performance Tracking Tables for CP projects.
    • Apply learning in daily work and share with project staff where possible so as to become a resource for quality monitoring and an advocate and implementer of effective and appropriate data and information management
    • Generate information on the weekly caseload for the team by protection concerns and by sex for the team to know efforts into the CPIMS+ and sharing the list of weekly follow ups with the team
    • Implement the Data Protection Policy/Information Sharing Protocol and appropriate standards for confidentiality of the information on the children at Field level and monitor staff and other partners’ adherence to it under the leadership and authority of the CP Assistant Program Manager.
    • Comply with all relevant Save the Children International policies and procedures with respect to child protection, code of conduct, health and safety, security, equal opportunities and other relevant policies.

    Qualifications

    • A minimum of bachelor degree in any relevant field required.
    • Minimum of 3 years’ experience on CPIMS data management with INGO or NNGO
    • Knowledgeable on CPIMS+/GBVIMS+ database, statistics or other related fields.
    • Excellent proficiency in computer usage, particularly with MS Excel.
    • Experience working with child protection or GBV subsectors in the past
    • Strong self-starter, able to take initiative and adapt to changing circumstances and priorities.
    • Spoken and written English to an acceptable standard.
    • Able to work with tight deadlines and under pressure
    • Experience in facilitation and capacity building.
    • Good understanding of the operations of INGOs
    • Commitment to upholding the consortium Child Safeguarding Policy, as well as principles of do no harm and confidentiality.

    Preferred:

    • Knowledge of the English language (spoken & written).
    • Previous experience in a similar position.
    • Knowledge of the local language.
