    Site Operations Lead

    Job Responsibilities

    • Supervise, coordinate, and schedule the activities of the collection site personnel safely and efficiently.
    • Work to optimize processing and production of incoming recyclable material on a multi-shift basis (subject to in-take volumes).
    • Maximize daily up-time, increase productivity, minimize waste losses, audit inbound and outbound materials, and produce finished products at quality levels acceptable to buyers.
    • Responsible for internal reporting, including but not limited to RM count, site inspections, downtime tracking, audit reports, etc.
    • Understand and monitor the general flow of recyclable materials through the ERP system.
    • Work in accordance and be well versed in local obligations that are required across the site.
    • Ensure the health and safety of all workers under direct and indirect supervision.
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for addressing site-specific inquiries and providing updates to management.
    • Research new suppliers/vendors of raw materials, work closely with existing vendors and establish purchase terms and conditions of the market, ensuring repeat deliveries to the collection site.
    • Purchase of raw materials in accordance with approved prices and establish ways of working with the vendors.

    Job Requirements

    • Experience in recycling, material recovery or material handling facility is an asset
    • Excellent interpersonal, teambuilding and oral and written communication skills
    • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels within the organization
    • Strong understanding of responsibilities in the workplace
    • Demonstrated experience in production environment
    • Strong organizational skills and ability to maintain staffing levels at an appropriate level to minimise costs
    • Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as part of a team

    Engineering Lead

    Responsibilities
    Warehouse & Equipment Management:

    • Plan and execute the setup of collection center warehouses and installation of machinery.
    • Advise management on feasible timelines and oversee modifications and maintenance activities.

    Operational Oversight:

    • Ensure all equipment is functioning optimally by implementing a preventive maintenance schedule and conducting regular on-site plant inspections.

    Performance Monitoring:

    • Identify and eliminate any barriers affecting the performance of collection centers. Develop and implement work schedules for teams, delegating tasks to meet daily, weekly, and monthly objectives.

    Vendor & Compliance Management:

    • Monitor vendor performance and provide comprehensive reports on progress, challenges, and market opportunities. Ensure all sites comply with health and safety regulations and other industry-specific guidelines.

    Continuous Improvement:

    • Stay informed on industry trends, competitive landscapes, and regulatory changes related to recycling. Implement strategies to maximize production output and improve overall operational efficiency.

    Team Development:

    • Upgrade the training framework for production operators and foster a culture of safety and efficiency within the team.

    Technical Requirements

    • Interested candidates should possess a relevant qualification with at least 7 years work experience.  
    • Proficient in MS Office (particularly Excel) and ERP software.
    • Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.

    Skiils:

    • Excellent interpersonal, team-building, and communication skills.
    • Strong understanding of SHE (Safety, Health, and Environment) responsibilities.
    • Demonstrated experience in production, warehousing, distribution, and logistics.
    • Strong organizational skills with the ability to maintain appropriate staffing levels to minimize costs.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Strong negotiation and presentation skills, with the capability to effectively communicate the value of the collection strategy.
    • Willingness to travel extensively within Nigeria (75-100%).

    Internal Control Manager

    Responsibilities

    • Serve as the business process and controls subject matter expert (SME) providing guidance for proactively identifying and assessing controls
    • Set up systems to manage, mitigate and monitor controls
    • Conduct audit assessments including risk assessment & management and control management, operating procedures and compliance with applicable policies, laws and regulations
    • Review and appraise the soundness, effectiveness, and proper application of accounting and financial controls, compliance procedures and controls
    • Recommend measures that improve the operational efficiency of the business
    • Evaluate standard operating procedures within departments and identify potential threats, as well as possible unethical or illegal activities
    • Evaluate existing accounting, financial, talent management and safety policies and procedures to ensure risk mitigation
    • Review and assess the adequacy of programs designed to safeguard organization assets
    • Prepare and issue reports detailing audit findings and recommendations for process improvements
    • Facilitate continuous improvement efforts for standardizing, rationalizing, optimizing and automating controls
    • Ensure external audit and regulatory compliance matters are promptly addressed
    • Advise top management and the Board Audit Committee on audit, and internal control matters

    Skills and Role Requirements

    • 5 years work experience.
    • Strong computer skills with proficiency in the use of MS Office and experience with SAP Business One or similar ERP software
    • Experience in financial audits, financial control, operational finance, financial reporting and business process optimization
    • Good understanding of export and international trade modalities
    • Relevant professional accounting and/or audit certification
    • Strong analytical and presentation skills
    • Ability and willingness to travel within and outside Nigeria.
