    Internal Control Specialist

    Description

    • Want to support Global Business Services and Operating companies in managing their risks and controls within an international setting?
    • Do you have a financial background and are a Qualified Accountant, Auditor, or Controller? Then strengthen our team as an Internal Control Specialist.

    Responsibilities
    General:

    • As part of the EGRC team, support RFC's control activities and various business requests related to risk & control (e.g. risk deep-dives, control implementations, control optimizations, global policy establishment & control standard setting, etc.)
    • Continuously support creating awareness of internal controls and enhancing the risk & control culture and mindset within the organization.

    Specific:

    • Perform internal control testing for continuous assessments
    • Perform control design assessment and testing of regular/moderately complex controls
    • Follow up with entities to ensure complete and timely closure of internal control findings
    • Follow up with action owners to ensure complete and timely closure of audit issues
    • Support periodic preparation of required control documents based on the external audit request.
    • Support the R&C function by executing process deep dives, reviews, etc. to bring about process efficiency and control optimization.
    • Carry out any other task(s) as may be assigned by the Cluster R&C Manager from time to time.

    What We Ask

    • Bachelor's or Master's in Accounting or Finance or equivalent.
    • ACA, ACCA, CFE, or other relevant professional certifications will be of added advantage.
    • Must have 3-5 years of working experience in a matrix complex organization, preferably in an international organization or larger Consultancy / Audit Firm.
    • Knowledge and work experience in Internal Control and/or Audit preferred.
    • Basic knowledge and experience in managing internal controls, process improvements, finance, and accounting.
    • Strong analytical skills, hands-on, accountable, accurate, pro-active, and result oriented.
    • Professional communication in English, writing, and verbal, and ability to work within different cultures and in an international team.

    Job Summary

    • You will join an organization that aims to be the leader in affordable and sustainable dairy products and be a driving force to elevate Procurement to make it a strategic asset to the Company.
    • This position will be part of the Procurement organization covering the full Sub Saharan Africa region with physical presence in Nigeria and Ivory Coast. In this position you will report to the Head of Procurement Sub Saharan Africa.
    • In your day to day job you will work closely with procurement colleagues in SSA & Europe and local stakeholders to (co)develop actionable procurement strategies.

    Main Areas of Responsibilities

    • Participate in the development of the Global Procurement strategies, lead and develop the regionally managed strategies for your scope
    • Engage the business to optimize business demand and develop a strategic demand plan.
    • Owning the local implementation of Procurement strategies and initiatives
    • Identify opportunities to add value or lower costs
    • Define and execute sourcing plans, supported by our Source-to-Contract team
    • Lead and implement projects related to your scope
    • Develop and maintain relationships with local suppliers, manage performance and enable efficiency and value.
    • Ensure quality and supply. Develop contingency plans in alignment with QA, R&D and Planning.
    • Build and maintain good relationships at both tactical and strategic level and seek approval on strategies, roadmaps and program management activities.

    What We Ask

    • Proven experience in Procurement (+5 years) in the field of Direct Materials (Packaging, Ingredients) and/or Indirect Materials and Services (Capex, MRO, Utilities, Marketing, Professional Services, Logistics, etc), preferably in an international setting
    • Good business partnering skills: Commercial acumen and understanding of and ability to challenge business needs and translate them into key sourcing priorities to ensure optimal value and risks mitigation
    • Experienced negotiator and Supplier relationship Management capabilities
    • Financial understanding on P&L and Working Capital, understanding the impact of own actions and market developments on these.
    • Ability to manage all aspects of a project from defining the overall project, identify stakeholders, manage activities, time plans, report status and handle issues towards successful delivery  
    • Strong influencing, communication and stakeholder management skills at tactical and strategic level
    • Able to clearly structure and define the bigger picture and translate that to processes, projects and action plans
    • Acting with pace and decisiveness
