    Site Engineer

    Job Summary

    • We are looking to hire Site Engineer. Successful candidates will be responsible for overseeing the effective implementation and construction of the plan design for any project.
    • He will offer advice in the planning, coordination, and supervision of all technical aspects of the construction site, managing, developing, and maintaining construction projects, conducting on-site investigations, and overseeing all building-related activities.
    • Successful Applicant will be involved solving technical issues, supervising construction workers, and analysing data as well as assessing potential risks.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    Quantity Surveyor

    Job Summary

    • We are looking to hire Quantity Surveyor. Successful candidate will be involved in maximizing project margin, adding value to the construction process by proactive involvement in procurement, cost management and reporting.
    • The Quantity Surveyor drive best value from suppliers and subcontractors. Carries out monthly financial reviews on projects and forecast final outturn values for cost, sales, and margin.
    • The role will maximize value of monthly applications and measurement and submission of contract variations. Timely submission and negotiation of final accounts to the client / main contractor and subcontractors.

    Key Deliverables:

    • Work with project management team to develop project budgets and monitor to ensure that actual construction costs are kept within the approved project costs.
    • Prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities details regarding quantities, with identified commercial risks and ensuring strict adherence to contractual terms and conditions
    • Negotiate costs, evaluating bids and procure the services of contractors, subcontractors, and consultants
    • Track variations to contracts that may affect costs and ensure accurate, robust, and timely cash flow and value reporting, periodical forecasting, and cost management for projects
    • Track changes to designs and construction works and adjust budget projections accordingly
    • Liaise with contractors, consultants, client representatives and other third parties on commercial issues, including analysing completed work, agreement of variations, claims and the preparation of applications for project payments
    • Minimize the costs of projects and enhancing value for money, while still achieving the required standards and quality.
    • Identifying, analysing, and developing the necessary solutions to commercial risks.
    • Work closely with the Procurement Team on the development of procurement strategies for projects
    • Performing site visits, assessments, measurement, and valuation of work done on sites.

    Requirements
    Minimum Qualification / Experience:

    • Quantity Surveying Graduate with over 7 years work experience in similar role for construction company.
    • NIQS (Nigerian Institute of Quantity Surveyors) Certified and QSRBN (Quantity Surveyors Registration Board of Nigeria) Registered Professional is desirable.

    Knowledge / Skills:

    • Practical mind with strong numerical and financial management skills
    • written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to write clear reports to convey complex information in a simple way to a diverse range of people
    • Commercially astute, numerate, risk averse & able to accurately forecast cost & sales.
    • Multi tasking, self-motivated, energetic team player with a flexible and adaptable approach to work.
    • Demonstrable experience in negotiation & construction contracts.
    • Good working knowledge of forms of contract currently used within the Building and Civil Engineering industry with the ability to read and interpret Architectural, Structural and Mechanical & Electrical drawings.
    • Understanding of HSE building regulations and legal guidelines

    • IT Literate able to use Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project & Construction Costing Software.

    Lead Audit Consultant (Firms)

    Job Summary

    • Menzon Limited seeks to employ Lead Audit Consultants (Firms). Successful firms would lead the audit team in carrying out revenue audit in Financial institutions, Oil and Gas (Upstream/Downstream), and Government Ministries, Department, Agencies and Parastatals.
    • They shall deploy their expertise in analysing the financial processes and documents of assigned companies and MDAs to ensure the validity and legality of their financial records and ensuring completeness in the revenue remitted to relevant agencies of government.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Review statutory revenue remittances to determine shortfall or excess in amount remitted in withheld.
    • Check the authenticity and validity of transactions which are done.
    • Examine arithmetical accuracy of books of accounts, casting, balancing.
    • Settling the current value of assets and liabilities.
    • Plan and design an audit approach.
    • Perform tests of controls and substantive tests of transactions.
    • Perform analytical procedures and tests of details of balances.
    • Complete the audit and issue an audit report.
    • Meet overall objective of the audit, which is to express an opinion on the fairness with which the financial statements present fairly, in all material respects, the financial position, results of operations and cash flows in conformity with GAAP.
    • By accumulating sufficient appropriate evidence for each audit objective, the overall objective is met.
    • The accumulation of evidence is accomplished by performing the four phases of the audit.
    • Assists in the implementation of control policies and procedures to ensure compliance and promote operational efficiency & transparency
    • Conducts Internal/External Control evaluation and risk assessments to identify loopholes and areas requiring management intervention to prevent frauds, embezzlements, misappropriations, misuse, and wastage
    • Conducts audit tests and investigations.

    • Coordinates and participates in periodic inventory count and fixed asset verification exercises.
    • Evaluates the means of safeguarding company assets and as appropriate, verifies the existence of such assets
    • Gathers data for internal audit through a variety of methods including interviews, financial research, downloads, etc
    • Verifies the existence of documents vital to the operations of the various functions.
    • Evaluates operations or programs to ascertain whether results are consistent with established processes, objectives, and goals and whether the operations or programs are being carried out as planned.
    • Follows-up on the implementation of the audit recommendations and ensures that improvements are made to reduce the residual risks to appropriate levels

    Qualification Required

    • Firm must be registered with the CAC as a corporate entity to carry out this assignment.
    • Promoters of the firm must have Minimum of Seven (7) years relevant years of professional practice.
    • Must have an oil and gas, and financial industry experience in a similar assignment.
    • The Promoters of the firm must have relevant professional certifications e.g. Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA), Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) or Association of Certified and Chartered Accountants (ACCA), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA).

    Desirable:

    • Evidence of carrying out revenue audit in same or similar industries.
    • Selected firm must have the capability to deploy field audit officers to client site for work.
