    Teller

    Job Description

    • Our bank tellers do more than handle money; they establish and nurture relationships with our valued customers.
    • We’re industry leaders because people trust us to handle their financial transactions with the utmost care and attention to detail.

    • The ideal candidate will have experience with banking processes, money management, and customer service.

    Objectives of this Role

    • Serve customers by managing documents, information, and financial transactions in an organized, efficient, and secure manner
    • Build awareness of new products and services, and identify customer needs to capitalize on the business referral opportunities
    • Meet and exceed bank service standards, greeting and acknowledging each customer to make them feel welcome, while complying with bank procedures and security protocols
    • Work with other tellers as a team to complete daily tasks while demonstrating respect and professionalism, being prompt, and supporting management as needed

    Responsibilities

    • Handle transactions for customers, including check cashing, deposits, withdrawals, transfers, loan payments, cashier’s checks, and opening and closing of accounts
    • Identify customer needs, provide information on new products and services, and direct customers to branch representatives as needed
    • Reconcile cash drawers at the end of your shift, count and package coins and currency, turn in any excess or damaged currency to head teller
    • Track, record, report, and store transactional information and special requests
    • Provide a high level of customer service, offering answers and assistance with a smile.

    Required Skills and Qualifications

    • High School Diploma or equivalent
    • Basic math and computer skills
    • Cash-handling experience
    • Excellent communication, customer-service, and time-management skills
    • Ability to pass a background check
    • Strong dedication to accuracy and efficiency.

    Preferred skills and qualifications:

    • OND Accounting.

    Internal Control Officer

    Responsibilities

    • Develops an annual risk-based internal audit plan and oversee the implementation of the approved plan
    • Ensures methodical documentation of work plans, testing results, conclusions and recommendations and ensures follow up on findings and corrective actions.
    • Ensure compliance with standard operating procedures of each department and processes in line with best practices.
    • Provide technical assistance with investigations, special audits, and provide subject-matter expertise as needed.
    • Periodic sampling/full audit of loan officers
    • Participate in the review of applications to ensure data integrity, confidentiality and availability by preventing unauthorized access always
    • To ensure all the Organization’s products measures up to required standard in the industry
    • Remains current on audit regulatory oversight trends and develop a risk-based approach incorporated into the annual audit plan.
    • Provides feedback and recommendations on business risks and improving operational efficiencies and processes where appropriate.
    • Daily review of loan disbursement, closure and savings withdrawal
    • Identify loopholes and recommend risk aversion measures and cost reductions.
    • Conduct follow-up reviews of financial, operational, or regulatory compliance deficiencies noted during audits.

    Requirements

    • B.Sc Accounting other numerate discipline
    • Professional accounting qualifications like ACA, ACCA or other recognized professional body is added advantage not compulsory
    • Minimum of 3 years work experience in the same capacity Proficient in computer (MS Excel, Word, Power Point) and relevant accounting packages.
    • Flexibility to work in any designated BCL location across Nigeria (This role involves travelling).

    • B.Sc in Accounting
    • Not lesser than Second Class Upper degree in Accounting
    • 3 years of relevant experience in the banking industry.

    Finance Officer

    Job Role

    • At Prodigy MFB, the finance officer is responsible for all financial aspects of the organization.
    • The position manages the budget, prepare financial reports, and ensure that all financial transaction is conducted legally and ethically.
    • Create and implement financial policies to guarantee operational efficiency.
    • Oversee the preparation and planning of budgets.
    • Maintain records and receipts for all daily transactions.
    • Ensure financial records are kept up-to-date with the latest transactions and changes.
    • Contribute to financial audits. Monitor all bank deposits and payments.
    • Perform periodic financial analysis to detect and resolve problems.
    • Review and implement financial policies
    • Prepare balance sheets and invoices.
    • Conduct daily review of General Ledgers
    • Assist in the Budget expense Tracker Management
    • Preparation of Monthly CBN Returns
    • Assist in the Preparation of Management Account
    • Preparation of the bank’s Weekly Performance Report
    • Assist in the Preparation of Asset and Liability Report
    • Calculation of Effective Interest rate on Investment securities.

    Qualifications / Requirements

    • Minimum Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
    • Minimum of 3 Years relevant professional experience in a similar role.
    • Computer literate, good working knowledge of MS Excel;
    • Attention to detail and analytical skills
    • Excellent interpersonal, communication and organization skills
    • Self-Starter with the ability to work independently
    • Ability to work under pressure, while remaining flexible, proactive and efficient.
