Job Purpose

• The ideal candidate should have 8 years cognate experience in HSE in a manufacturing facility, should be able to multitask and develop comprehensive reports on factory HSE practices to be submitted to the plant manager. Ideal candidate must be well versed in HSE trends and indicators and must be good in report writing.

Duties / Responsibilities
Health, Safety and Environmental Management:

• Design, implement and communicate the HSE management system to meet OHSAS ISO 45001: 2018 requirements and ISO 14001:2015 requirements
• Prioritize and provide advice promptly on OHSAS 18001 standards
• Advise on HSE trends and indicators
• Supervise the plant’s Health, Safety and Environment program and facilitate internal audits of the safety management systems
• Promote HSE practice to ensure staff compliance with health, environmental, and safety rules and regulations
• Develop, implement, execute, and manage strategies to prevent workplace injuries, and environmental incidences and achieve the annual target set by management for HSE performance
• Review all safety rules regularly and, where necessary, recommend suitable changes.

Regulatory and Governance Abilities:

• Regular reporting to the plant manager on factory HSE practices.

Education and Experience

• B.Sc. / HND with a minimum of Second class upper in Engineering, Environmental Sciences or related course
• Occupational Health & Safety qualification (HSE level 3) is an added advantage.
• NEBOSH Certificate, Membership of the Institute of Safety Professionals of Nigeria ISPON will be a plus.
• At least 8 years cognate experience in HSE in a manufacturing facility.

Required Skills / Abilities:

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Age Requirement:

• Qualified candidates should not be more than 35 years old.

Job Purpose

• The ideal candidate should have at least 10 years cognate experience in a fertilizer plant and manufacturing operation and should be able to show proven ability to lead and manage a team including production, quality assurance etc.

Duties / Responsibilities
Production Coordination:

• Coordination and supervision of the loading of bulk and local raw materials into the Warehouse
• Manage and coordinate raw material inventory
• Manage and coordinate finished goods inventory

Production Supervision:

• Create crop-specific blends with the production supervisor and collaborate with sales to implement sales strategies for such blends
• Ensure that the generating plant, water treatment, and plant facilities are up to date to meet the needs of the plant
• Manage and approve plant expenses in accordance with the approval limits and the standard operating procedure for such payments
• Contribute strategically to system development to reduce product failure or reprocessing costs and improve customer satisfaction

Regulatory and Governance Activities:

• Attend meetings with FEPSAN, NAERSL, SON, NAFDAC, the Federal Ministry of Labour, and state and federal regulatory agencies on behalf of the company
• Regular reporting to the board on the activities of the plant
• Develop comprehensive reports on activities to be submitted to the MD

Requirements
Education and Experience:

• B.Eng / HND with a minimum of Second class upper in Electrical / Mechanical / Civil Engineering
• Membership of Nigerian society of Engineers will be an added advantage
• At least 10 years cognate experience in a fertilizer plant and manufacturing operation
