    Contract Engineer M/F

    Job description

    SPIE Services Nigeria Limited is currently looking for a High profile  Contract Engineer to join its work force in Nigeria. 

    • The post holder is responsible for pre-award preparation, negotiation, award and monitoring the administration of Contracts for works/goods/services in such a manner as to ensure the Company’s best commercial interests are both served and protected, while monitoring relevant markets and supporting contractor performance management.
    • Organize and control all process based activities relating to offshore service contracts in assigned portfolio including strategies, pre-qualifications, tender list development, issues of ITT, analysis of tenders, contract negotiations and the preparation of contractual documentation.
    • Proactively work with the metier partners (Technical Duets) to build and maintain relationships with contractors / suppliers and monitor their performance by participating in contract performance management activities.
    • Liaise closely with the relevant Global Category Manager to locally deploy TGP strategy and comply with TGP governance.
    • Actively pursue contracting synergy opportunities for all business requirement.
      Actively contribute to the 3C program by delivery of costs savings without compromising safety or quality.
    • Provide proactive and timely advice and support to internal and external stakeholders in all matters relating to Contracts & Procurement, including operating as a ‘Duet’ with the technical counterpart to promote effective contract planning, management and performance.
    • Utilize approved standard contract documentation and ensure compliance with standard contracting principles during negotiations.
    • Comply with all applicable Supply Chain rules, governance and process.
    • Ensure that contractor / supplier selection is carried out in accordance with Company requirements and Compliance Programme and that safety and environmental assessments are part of the selection process.
    • Mitigate project risk through pro-active management and negotiation of contractual disputes. Support settlement of claims, in conjunction with senior management and Legal, by proposing strategies and actions and by participating in negotiations.
    • Contribute to the process of continuous improvement, including participation in and promotion of Lean initiatives and adoption and sharing of best practice.
    • Prepare and Present (where required) Contracts Committee presentations.
    • Demonstrate personal commitment to the HSEQ Policy and actively participate in Company safety awareness and initiative schemes.
    • Maintain awareness of and ensure compliance with all relevant Statutory and Company HSEQ standards.
    • Effectively and Efficiently use all Supply Chain Tools (SAP, E-Sourcing, AGORA, Etc.) to ensure all required information is available in a timely manner and fully auditable.
    • Ensure information of portfolio is systematically updated in the Master Procurement Plan while maintaining an up to date contract portfolio status

    Profile

    • Fluent in English Languages
    • Educated to degree level or Masters Level – Engineering, Law or Business
    • Service holder shall have demonstrable experience and capacity to handle highly complex Contracts, i.e., Drilling & Wells and associated services, EPSCC Contracts from end to end.
    • Minimum of 5 years practical experience in drafting, negotiation of the most complex contracts., i.e., Drilling & Wells, EPSCC and Logistics contracts as well as contractual strategy preparation, Call for Tender management, submission of Recommendation to Award etc.,
    • Minimum of 10 years working experience in the Oil & Gas Industry.
    • Service holder must demonstrate a good knowledge of contractual legal framework under English/Nigerian Law, and deep knowledge of Oil & Gas industry operational risks and contractual mechanisms to manage such risks.
    • Preferably a member of a reputable Supply Chain professional body (E.g. CIPS, IACCM)
    • Minimum of 5 years practical experience in drafting, negotiation of the most complex contracts., i.e., Drilling & Wells, EPSCC and Logistics contracts as well as contractual strategy preparation, Call for Tender management, submission of Recommendation to Award etc.,
    • Familiar with NUIMS, NCDMB process shall be advantage,
    • Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross‐functionally with other departments in a dynamic business environment.
    • Demonstrates sound knowledge of Legal, Commercial and Insurance aspects of contracts
    • Demonstrated experience in sourcing negotiations, supplier management and contract management.
    • Ability to challenge others in a constructive manner and negotiate with internal peers and other stakeholder representatives to influence decisions or ways of working.
    • Excellent presentation skills
    • Very good organizational skills
    • Reasonable knowledge of SAP tool

    Head Mechanical Engineer

    Job description

    GENERAL DESCRIPTION

    • Support of offshore operations,
    • Facilitate maintenance activities of the SITE team through adequate preparation (spare parts verification etc…)
    • Check repairs requirement and quality
    • Short and medium term improvement methods

    HSE

    • Establishes and maintains a strong safety culture in line with Company HSE Requirements and Rules
    • Ensures that COMPANY’s HSE regulations are respected (especially procedures related to Work Permits), as well as approved operating procedures and standard industry practice during performance of maintenance operations placed under his responsibility,
    • Ensures compliance with Operating Procedures & Guidelines with the asset to ensure Process Safety, Operational Safety and Plan Integrity 

    MAIN FUNCTIONS (applicable to all specialities)

    • Review preventive maintenance program validity. Check availability of means to complete it as and when required.
    • Assist the SITE as required for corrective maintenance
    • Prepare work pack for specific maintenance job when requested
    • Analyse CMMS report for his field of competence and recommend improvement solutions to COMPANY as required
    • Set up and implement technical procedures, follow-up and update maintenance procedure in relation with COMPANY representatives,
    • Ensures quality of the maintenance operations : preparation of intervention files, work orders, reporting, CMMS,
    • Taken vibration measurements on site and analysis

    Profile

    • Equivalent of DUT/BTS (French), B.Sc. Mechanical/Instrumentation/Electrical Engineering (2.1),
    • 5 years of general industrial maintenance
    • Ability to work in a multinational team. Ability to work in a service relationship.
    • Competence/experience in the relevant specialties (mechanical/fitting, handling, tooling, electricity, instruments)

    ICSS Supervisor

    Job description

    • SPIE Services Nigeria Limited is currently looking for an ICSS Supervisor to join its workforce in Nigeria.

    MISSIONS

    • Assists the planning team by giving any technical support for the preparation of the jobs in his discipline.
    • Assists specialists working under Specific Maintenance Contracts (SMC),
    • Ensures that the COMPANY’s HSE regulations are respected (especially procedures related to work permits), as well as approved operating procedures and standard industry practice during performance of maintenance operations placed under his responsibility,
    • Enters intervention reports in the CMMS (including those concerning SMC) and writes the technical reports related to his field,
    • Monitors the functioning of utilities and equipment systems which are under his responsibility,
    • Performs the diagnostics and trouble shooting in the ICSS and PLC,
    • Follows-up the parameter values and alarms in the concerned systems, for condition monitoring purpose,
    • Carries out, at the CSR request, any intervention within his field of experience

    Methods

    • Proposes any relevant action to improve performance and availability of control system.
    • Warns support teams of any recurring problems related to the availability or quality of spare parts,
    • Guaranties that software produced for modification or corrective actions are in conformity with functional analysis,
    • Guaranties that control system documentation is up to date

    Quality Assurance

    • Verifies the quality of his planning by frequent checks of supervisor reports in CMMS

    Profile

    • Chartered Engineer (A-levels + 5 years’ study) or Higher National Diploma or Certificate (HND/HNC (A-levels + 3 years’ study) or BTS/DUT or equivalent.
    • 5 years’ experience in the field of control system and at least 3 years as control system specialist in petrochemical industry,
    • A knowledge of the principles related to the process and equipment of oil and gas treatment installations
    • Specific professional knowledge:  CMMS
    • Ability to work in a large multinational team
    • Ability to work independently while maintaining good relations with colleagues and others
    • Physical ability to work on offshore installations in the climatic conditions of the site.
    • He must have a proven sense of responsibility and a talent for management.
    • He must be rigorous and methodical in his approach to operations.
      He must show common sense and be able to anticipate and analyse.
      A natural, flexible authority is essential.
    • Experience in Subsea control systems would be preferred
    • Detailed understanding of system architecture and networks
    • Experience in PLC, Allen Bradley, Siemens, ladder logic systems etc. plus related communication interfaces and Human Machine Interfaces (HMI) - and all Machine Monitoring Systems (Bentley Nevada) including GE System 1.
    • Experience in fire and gas monitoring systems
