    Retail Sales Supervisor

    Summary

    • Our client is looking for a young, dynamic Retail Sales Supervisor with experience in leading successful teams.

    Job Description

    • Monitor shelves stocks and product displays, and the general appearance of the store.
    • Ensure all reports, cash, and receipts are correct and complete.
    • Keep charge of the safety box and the change.
    • Responsible for the final calculation and complete documentation at the end of the shift of each cashier.
    • Implement measures to avoid stock damages, theft, and wastage
    • Ensure correct money transfers to the bank.
    • Take charge of all cancellations of total receipts, complaints as well as returns from customers.
    • Randomly check receipts of customers versus the actual basket.
    • Responsible for keeping all doors and windows closed properly at the end of the day.
    • Ensure that legal requirements, with regard to store sales, are followed
    • Responsible for 100 % price label accuracy.
    • Check the price accuracy by test purchases, especially after price changes.
    • Check the deliveries from the Warehouse and direct suppliers and report any delivery mistakes.
    • Responsible for all books, reports, and forms in the store.
    • Train new staff members and schedule shifts.

    Qualifications and Requirements

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or Management-related courses.
    • Minimum of 5 years of work experience in a retail environment or supermarket
    • Minimum of 3 years experience in a team lead position
    • Experience working in a highly collaborative environment where teamwork and self-motivation were critical
    • Organized and analytical, able to eliminate obstacles through creative and adaptive approaches.
    • Ability to manage a team relationship and productive work environment
    • Proficiency with MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
    • Strong leadership, organization, communication, and relationship management skills
    • Professional, client-service-oriented, and positive representative of the firm
    • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

    Sales Representative

    Responsibilities

    • Greet and attend to customers.
    • Provide accurate information (like, product features, pricing and after-sales services)
    • Answer customers’ questions about specific products/services
    • Conduct price and feature comparisons to facilitate purchasing.
    • Cross-sell products
    • Ensure racks are fully stocked.
    • Manage returns of merchandise
    • Coordinate with the Retail Sales Representatives team to provide excellent customer service (especially during peak times)
    • Inform customers about discounts and special offers.
    • Provide customer feedback to the manager.
    • Stay up to date with new products/services.
    • Take inventory of old and new stocks
    • Take and upload photos on online sales platforms.

    Requirements and skills

    • A minimum of Ordinary National Diploma (OND)
    • B.Sc Degree in Marketing or related field is a plus
    • 2 - 3 years relevant work experience.
    • Proven work experience as a Retail Sales Representative, sales associate or similar role
    • Understanding of the retail sales process
    • Familiarity with consumer behaviour principles
    • Knowledge of inventory stocking procedures
    • Basic math skills
    • Track record of achieving sales quotas.
