    Field Telecommunications Engineer

    Mission

    • Perform Project technical tasks assigned by the Instrumentation Discipline Lead consisting of design, checking, validation, testing, and engineering of Telecommunication Systems.
    • Interface and coordinate with the other Project Team Specialists and Designers.
    • Coordinate technical activities performed either by insourcing or by outsourcing.

    TASKS:

    The Engineer executes the activities within their own area of responsibility, ensuring compliance with the QA/QC and HSE requirements Tasks include:

    • Development Technology know-how and Commercial support
    • Feasibility
    • Bidding phase/Commercial proposal development
    • Prepare Telecommunication Systems quantities for cost and erection works estimates.
    • Support Discipline Lead to define man hours and cost estimates

    Project Execution

    • Review Client technical documentation and requirements
    • Coordinate subcontracted engineering activities and control subcontracted engineering documents.
    • Define engineering design basis and guidelines.
    • Prepare the technical documentation for Telecommunication material and services requisitions and prepare, according to internal procedures, the technical evaluations.
    • Provide technical support to Project Team
    • Optimise Telecommunication Systems design ensuring minimal cost and complexity in compliance with the contractual and safety requirements ▪ Prepare Telecommunication systems functional specifications.
    • Prepare Telecommunication equipment data sheets.
    • Validate Vendor Telecommunication BOQs
    • Coordinate detailed engineering activities and ensure proper installation drawings definition.
    • Participates in F.A.T. activities ad Vendor workshops.

     Construction and start-up

    • Participate in Site Acceptance Tests and functional checks.
    • Provide technical and engineering support to the construction Team.
    • Perform site engineering activities during the construction and commissioning phases

    IT Specialist

    Job Objective/ Purpose of Job:

    • The IT Specialist will be responsible for the daily IT needs of users, he/she will provide support to the company’s computer environment and IT infrastructure.
    • The employee works within general methods and procedures, exercises considerable independent judgment to select proper course of action.
    • He/she will ensure conformance to guidelines, methods, procedures, and policies related to IT and the organization has a whole.

    Job Duties/ Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

    • Provide advice on the most suitable IT choices
    • Provide technical support or training for systems and networks
    • Act as a link between end users and high-level support (provides L1, and L2 support)

    • Perform troubleshooting, repairs, and data restoration

    JOB DESCRIPTION FORM

    • Build technical documentation, manuals, and IT policies
    • Maintains centralized documentation of all network system changes and inventory of all such systems.
    • Ensures licenses, registrations, renewals, etc. related to information systems and operations and/or services are up to date
    • Management of the information systems supports the helpdesk.
    • Manage the maintenance of the server, storage and network, and other data center infrastructure within the company
    • Oversees the installation, configuration, support, and administration of database-driven business application software on windows and or Linux/UNIX environments
    • Define hardware and software standards in conjunction with stakeholders and clients and keep an inventory of computer hardware and monitor usage.
    • Responsible for implementing backup and disaster recovery procedures. Oversees the performance of periodic backups and the integrity of such backups, reviews transaction data backup, restores and archiving of old data
    • Manage the maintenance of the server, storage and network, and other data center infrastructure within the company

    • % availability of infrastructure, Information systems, applications, and servers

    QHSE Responsibilities

    • Perform their work in a safe manner.
    • Ensure by their actions, they do not put at risk, the health and safety of other employees, contractors, sub-contractors, visitors, clients, or temporary staff.
    • Cooperate with management in the implementation of HSE initiatives.
    • Participate fully in HSE programs.
    • Report workplace hazards immediately to their managers/HOD. Each staff is expected to raise at least 12 hazard observations in a year.
    • Report any incidents or injury which occurs at, or in connection, with their work.

    JOB SPECIFICATION Education Qualification:

    • BSC/HND in Computer Science / Eng. / Electrical Eng. from an accredited Institution Professional Qualification:
    • Enterprise Messaging Administrator, Network Infrastructure, Technology Specialist, Desktop Administrator).
    • CCNA, ITIL, COBIT 5,
    • Working Knowledge of VMware or Hyper-V would be an added advantage Experience
    • Minimum 3-5 years experience in IT System Engineering and Support Role

    Security Supervisor

    Job Description

    ACCOUNTABILITIES

    Support and enforce the COMPANY HSEQ charters, objectives, and directives.

    • Provide and promote security advice to the work site activities.
    • Ensure a secured environment through a team effort of diligent active patrol, strict access control, monitoring, and equipment control.
    • Ensure the availability of security gadgets for the GSF personnel.
    • Supervise the implementation of approved security procedures in all project sites.
    • Plan and execute every escort movement of all Project personnel and Project related activities.
    • Collect and process requests for Project personnel as it relates to security.
    • Update and advise project personnel regarding the present security situations.
    • Plan, and organize all security needs of the project personnel at the site.
    • Work in tandem with other security outfits to safeguard personnel and prepare security teams for emergency response.
    • Report any security anomaly.
    • Respond immediately to distress calls, panic alarms, and emergency calls for disorderly conduct, disruptive persons, and incidents swiftly and appropriately.
    • Maintain the company’s reputation with professionalism and legal compliance.
    • Collaborate with other security officers for effective protection and coverage of all site activities.
    • Investigate and take the appropriate lawful action as authorized by the corporate policy on accidents, incidents, trespassing, suspicious activities, safety, and fire incidents.
    • Control and monitor surveillance equipment and perform building and equipment inspections.
    • Guard access points, permitting or refusing entry, restraining trespassers, and direct heavy traffic during the start and end of business hours.
    • Complete daily reports, including relevant information, observations, surveillance footage, and signatures.
    • Ensure all Project personnel and assets are well always secured at the site.
    • Carry out any other duties as may be required by hierarchy and project management.

    REQUIREMENT

    • Professional Experience in a similar position (number of years): 10
    • Experience with security equipment and surveillance systems.
    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Certification in first aid, CPR/BLS, and self-defence.
    • Helpful, courteous attitude.
    • Registered security officer.
    • Must have integrity, be flexible and proactive.
    • Must demonstrate ability to act independently as part of a team.
    • Good communication skills. Good team player, able to communicate effectively with colleague.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft applications.
