    Product Marketing Manager, Africa

    About You and the Role  

    • As a key member of the Africa marketing team, you’ll help build the foundation for a world-class product marketing function.
    • Partnering closely with the Sales and Impact Evaluation teams, you’ll create compelling sales materials and assets, provide strategic and tactical support for important conferences and events, and develop content that tells inspiring stories.
    • The end goal is to ensure that Zipline’s work and impact are thoroughly visible and recognizable within the markets where we operate, as well as to global audiences who care about health and development.
    • The ideal candidate is a systems thinker who excels at making the complex feel understandable and relatable.
    • We’re looking for an excellent communicator, skilled collaborator, and adept problem solver who can run strategy in parallel with brass tacks tactical execution.
    • You work well across different backgrounds and cultures, as well as time zones!

    What You'll Do

    • Partner closely with the Africa Sales team to drive awareness of Zipline’s work and impact in the areas that matter to our core audiences - in health, agriculture, economic development, and climate
    • Write and develop marketing assets that convey the value, benefits, features and functionality of Zipline’s system, including case studies, blog posts, social media content, sales enablement material, and other promotional materials
    • Position Zipline in front of the right audiences at aligned global conferences; partner with our research team to develop and pitch abstracts that feature us and our research
    • Work with our customers to tell their stories across our owned channels and partner with Comms to identify earned media opportunities
    • Partner with social media and editorial leads to develop and execute content calendars 
    • Manage local vendors to produce multimedia content (photo, video), printed materials, and branded swag

    What You’ll Bring

    • 7+ years of proven experience in marketing with a focus on product marketing preferred
    • Experience in health and/or development sectors a plus
    • Experience defining and driving product marketing for B2B or B2G technology products in complex, fast-moving markets
    • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
    • Understanding of social media platforms, algorithms, and analytics a plus
    • Comfort managing ambiguity and experience quickly building content and processes from the ground up
    • Ability to prioritize and balance conflicting demands while leading multiple simultaneous projects
    • Self-starter, highly motivated and solution-oriented
    • Fluency in English (fluency in French is a bonus)
    • Ability to travel: ~25%

    Warehouse Operator (Cross River)

    About You and the Role  

    • The Warehouse Operator will be a member of the Fulfillment Operations team, executing several tasks related to but not limited to preparing life-saving packages meant for delivery to Zipline’s customers. These responsibilities encompass picking and packing orders, conducting cycle counts, completing checklists, and ensuring the overall organization and cleanliness of the warehouse.
    • This role demands attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols and standard operating procedures, as well as the ability to perform repetitive tasks accurately and efficiently.

    Key Responsibilities
    Inventory Receipt, Storage, and Audits:

    • Accurately receive inventory into the Zipline inventory management software system.
    • Utilize inventory management systems to track and record all movements of goods.
    • Ensure the received inventory is stored properly within the required storage locations and conditions (temperature requirements).
    • Assist in the periodic completion of Stock audits and audit reconciliations.

    Picking and Packing:

    • Accurately pick products from storage based on incoming orders
    • Pack and label picked orders accurately ensuring items are securely packaged while following the standard operating procedures
    • Perform quality checks on items picked and packed to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and customer requirements.

    General Warehouse Cleanliness and Safety:

    • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety and hygiene protocols.
    • Complete Accurately, routine checklists for operations.
    • Ensure compliance with company policies and safety regulations.

    Communication and Collaboration:

    • Collaborate closely with specialist ops, flight ops, and customer care teams to coordinate daily operations and prioritize tasks.
    • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding operational issues and opportunities for improvement.
    • Support other warehouse functions and team members as required. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and team meetings.

    Required Qualifications

    • Candidates should possess an OND / HND & or Fresh graduate in Biology, Chemistry, Environmental Science, Agricultural Science, Microbiology, Medical Lab Tech, Community, Pharmacy Technician, Purchasing and Supply Chain or a related field is a plus.
    • Experience: 0-2 years of experience in a warehouse or similar environment preferred.

    Key Competencies:

    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in performing repetitive tasks.
    • Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
    • Computer literacy.
    • Efficiency in written and spoken communication.
    • Proficiency in using inventory management software and handheld devices for order processing.

    • This will involve working with a team of flight operators to conduct regular preflight inspections, launching, and recovery of the drones (aircraft).
    • You'll learn how to effectively and safely handle zip components, assembling and disassembling components right after recovery.
    • You'll be expected to provide feedback and ideas to the flight operators on how to make our operations safer and ultimately help us scale to 400+ deliveries per day.
    • Safety is your priority: your goal is to never harm people or property and report potential safety risks ahead of time.

    Responsibilities

    • Launch and Recovery: You will be responsible for the safe assembly of drones in preparation for flights, perform critical checks, communicate with Zipline controllers in readiness for flight, launch and disassemble drones on return to the Distribution Center
    • Collaboration: Work with a team to scale drone deliveries at our distribution center.

     Qualifications

    • Candidates should possess an OND / HND in Engineering, Computer Science/Technology, Physics, Mathematics relevant field
    • Computer literacy
    • Languages: Professional Proficiency in spoken and written English
    • Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment and following safety guidelines.
    • Reliable and flexible to work occasional overtime and weekends as needed.
