    Kitchen / Laundry Maintenance Technician

    Job Description

    • A Kitchen & Laundry Maintenance Technician maintains and performs preventative maintenance on all Kitchen and Laundry equipment.  
    • As an Engineering Team Member, you would also be called when needed to multi-task in other sections.

    What will I be doing?

    • Carrying out of electrical trouble shooting and wiring, schematic reading, plumbing, mechanical trouble shooting and repair.
    • Maintain Kitcehn and Laundry equipment parts inventory. .
    • Performs scheduled preventative maintenance. 
    • Perform equipment repairs.
    • Perform visual equipment evaluations.
    • Enter repairs in Repair Log book.

    Job Description

    • A Hostess is responsible to make the guest feel at home by extending a warm welcome, assisting the guests to sit and later give them a warm send off. 
    • To assist in all ways to provide the highest degree of guest satisfaction.

    What will I be doing?

    • As a Hostess, you are responsible for serving guests in a friendly, timely, and efficient manner to deliver an excellent Guest and Member experience. 
    • A Hostess will also be required to have extensive knowledge of menu offerings. 
    • Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
    • Manage guest queries in a friendly, timely, and efficient manner
    • Ensure knowledge of menu and all products
    • Follow correct reporting procedures if faced with issues

    Facility Manager

    Job Description

    • A Facility Manager is responsible for the management of activities within the department, ensuring the standards and objectives of the department are implemented and maintained in equipment operation, staff management, and product quality to meet and exceed guest expectations. 
    • As an Engineering Team Member, you would also be called when needed to multi-task in other sections.

    What will I be doing?

    • As a Facility Manager, you are responsible for the effective management of all engineering and maintenance operations within the hotel, including energy conservation. 
    • You are also responsible for the development of the Engineering team and staying abreast of compliance regulations and procedures in the field of Engineering, as required for hotel standards. 
    • Specifically, a Facility Manager will perform the following tasks to the highest standards:
    • Lead the Engineering Team in the day-to-day engineering and maintenance operations of the hotel, including service standards, equipment schedules, and work schedules
    • Communicate with Housekeeping to coordinate and prioritize maintenance activities for Guest rooms and public areas
    • Develop systems and procedures to ensure the health and safety of Guests and Team Members, as well as the proper conditions for plants, machinery, and property
    • Communicate with Government agencies to ensure full compliance with statutory regulations
    • Prepare Capital and Repairs and Maintenance budgets for Engineering
    • Perform daily checks around the hotel
    • Conduct lift emergency release procedures as required
    • Diagnose, maintain, and repair mechanical equipment within the hotel
    • Ensure good relationships are built with internal and external customers
    • Maintenance of all hotel fixtures and fittings to ensure they are in safe condition and take action when any unsafe situations arise
    • Develop, implement, and direct all emergency program
    • Develop, implement and manage energy conservation programs for the property to minimize expenses.
    • Coordinate renovation bidding, define the cost and scope of the project, and oversee the general contractor and subcontractors to ensure quality work is performed cost effectively
    • Perform special projects and other responsibilities as assigned
    • Identify and introduce environmentally-friendly systems and equipment
    • Monitor Key Performance Indicators for the Engineering Department and take corrective action, as required, to improve equipment inventory, quality audit, productivity, and other objectives
    • Manage all Team Member related activities, including recruitment, performance management, training, career planning, disciplinary matters, and team motivation.

    What are we looking for?
    A Facility Manager serving Hilton brands is always working on behalf of our Guests and working with other Team Members. To successfully fill this role, you should maintain the attitude, behaviours, skills, and values that follow:

    • Engineering Degree or its equivalent. Preferably a Degree in Electrical or Electromechanical Engineering.
    • Previous Hotel experience is preferred with  at least 1 year managerial experience.
    • Display of comprehensive computer skills
    • Take full responsibility for the Engineering function in the absence of the Chief Engineer or the Assistant Chief Engineer, making decisions and communicating results to other department heads to ensure the dept. provides a seamless service at all times
    • Knowledgeable in the management of the day-to-day activities of an Engineering team
    • Great organizational and problem solving skills with emphasis on “people management"
    • Ability to train, motivate, evaluate, mentor and direct Team members
    • Ability to take a customer focused decision independently, whilst remaining cognizant of all management principles
    • Effective negotiation and analytical skills, detail oriented and customer oriented approach
    • Experience in office procedures, ordering materials, record keeping systems, applicable building laws, building construction, blueprint reading, etc.
    • Continuously suggest new concepts and improve existing processes that will benefit revenues, costs and guests’ and associates’ satisfaction
    • Learn new technology with ease
    • Knowledge in overall condition of the building structure(s), related systems, and equipment offering prudent, cost effective proposals for maintaining these systems.
    • Access and input information via the computer and generate required reports.
    • Ability to perform a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another of a different nature without loss of efficiency or composure

    Outlet Manager

    Position Objective:

    To support the Head of Department in the operations in driving business profitability, cost management and ensure exceptional guest experience by efficiently managing assigned outlet.

    Responsibilities:

    Thorough knowledge of food and beverage operations including product knowledge, supervisory skills, service techniques, and guest interaction

    • To attend any meetings, training sessions or courses that may be beneficial to you and your department on request from your Supervisor / Manager
    • Ensure departmental service standards are strictly adhered to at all times
    • Ensure proper handling of all operating equipment to minimize breakage or loss.
    • To be friendly and polite in front of guests at all times.
    • Assign and supervise duties to all direct reports.
    • To assist in other Food & Beverage areas if and when required.
    • Handle guest complaints / comments efficiently and promptly.
    • Ensure outlet cleaning schedules are adhered to and identify additional requirements.
    • To assist in the service of food & beverage when required.
    • Study and learn menu terminology.
    • Report for duty on time with clean attire.
    • Follow the policies and procedures introduced by the Food & Beverage department
    • Train, coach and mentor team members actively to ensure continuous skill improvement.
    • Perform periodic scheduled performance reviews with all team members
    • Take disciplinary action when required in line with team member conditions of service.
    • Balances working hours in accordance with needs of the outlet operations
    • To carry out any other reasonable tasks requested by your Manager or HOD

     

    • Minimum of BSC OR HND certificate. Additional Qualification is an added advantage.
    • Minimum 2 years as Assistant Outlet Manager.
    • Experience of managing large teams.
    • Experience and knowledge with large functions.
    • Ability to make Sales Analysis, Staff optimization, Training coordination, Performance Management and Time management.
    • Focus on details and costumer care
    • Good communication and Leadership skills.
    • Record of Good Conduct.
    • Ability to use basic computer applications i.e. Microsoft Office Word and excel, Power point,
    • Excellent grooming and Hotel/brand product knowledge.
