    Specialist Legal Services(Contracts and Advisory)

    Job Summary        

    Assist in drafting and interpretingcontractual agreements and ensure that all contracts entered into by EMTS areconsistent with corporate and governmental laws, rules and regulations.

    Principal Functions        

    • Assist the Manager, Legal Services (Contracts Advisory) in providing legal advice to assigned departments and divisions on legal issues arising from contracts.
    • Draft contracts and legal agreements including memoranda of understanding (MoUs) or agreement (MoAs), letters of intent (LOI) and other related documents.
    • Research and proffer opinion on any legal inquiries or issues of a contractual nature arising out of the interpretation and application of contracts and agreements.
    • Assist in ensuring that terms and conditions set out in contractual documentation are legally valid, consistent with EMTS's policies, rules and regulations, and are in the organisation's best interest.
    • Participate in drafting and finalising tender documentation.
    • Assist in litigation by or against contractors or other counterparties arising out of contracts, agreements, or similar documentation.
    • Review documentation and ensure that contracts, agreements and tenders comply with agreed and approved conditions and make recommendations to the Manager, Legal Services.
    • Monitor and respond to feedback from the respective EMTS departments as required.
    • Maintain a database of all contractual documents and related legal documentation.
    • Liaise with relevant units/teams/functions in carrying out all relevant activities.
    • Attend team/divisional/departmental meetings as required.
    • Prepare/compile agreed periodic activity and performance reports for the attention of the Manager, Legal Services.
    • Perform any other duties as assigned by the Manager, Legal Services.

    Educational Requirements        

    • First degree in Law.
    • Three (3) to  Five (5) years post NYSCwork experience in a Law firm or telecoms environment

    Specialist Monitoring

    Job Summary        

    Responsible for the Circuit and Packet Switched Network Assurance; To ensure the integrity of the revenue streams with primary focus on strengthening and/or building revenue assurance processes controls.

    Principal Functions        

    Tactical

    • Development of revenue assurance bestpractices for the company
    • Creation, implementation and monitoringof single -source and reconciliation KPIs on the Integrated Revenue ManagementSystem
    • Perform root cause analysis of issueson the Circuit and Packet Switched Network; follow through to resolution andcommunicate to appropriate parties
    • Monitoring of system owners to ensureproper set up of system in order to minimize leakages.

    Operational

    • Have responsibility for the day-to-dayoperation of Revenue Assurance tool- CONNECTIVA; including monitoring ofpredefined Key Performance Indices (KPIs), alarms and resolution of alarmstriggered.
    • Perform reviews of service nodes (MSC, IN, HLR, GGSN, SGSN etc) to ensure that potential revenue leakages/lossesacross the circuit and packet switched networks and proactively identified andmitigated.
    • Follow-up on reported revenue impactingissues identified; ensuring that prompt remedial actions are taken by therelevant operations department and providing adequate briefs/reports on such tothe Manager, Revenue Assurance.
    • Act as direct point of contact with theEnterprise Segments, IT, Network Operations, Wholesale & Carrier Relationst eams and produce monthly revenue assurance reports.
    • Undertake constant review of subscriberprofiles on the network to ensure completeness, accuracy and integrity ofservice provisioning and billing.
    • Review of promotions/services offeredby the company to individual and corporate customers with a view to ensuringthat risks are effectively mitigated.
    • Undertake routine tariff integritychecks for live and test products with a view to assuring tariff efficiencyrelative to market.
    • Perform varying degrees ofcross-platform TTfile/CDR analysis and reconciliation using multiple datasources in order to ensure TTFile/CDR transport integrity as well as billingcompleteness and accuracy.
    • Report on and perform value addingreconciliation on revenue streams such asPostpaid/Prepaid/Roaming/Interconnect/VAS activity to identify weaknesses, leakages and produce reports to senior management for action.
    • Perform validation of third party paymentschemes in order to ensure compliance with subsisting agreements and ensurecompleteness, accuracy and validity of transactions, revenue earned and payoutfigures.
    • Perform any other activity assigned bythe Manager, Revenue Assurance.

    Educational Requirements        

    • Bachelor's degree in a numeric field

    • Good knowledge of relation database management systems
    • Excellent understanding of GSM network architecture
    • Minimum of 4yrs relevant work experience

    Senior Engineer IP Core Transmission

    Job Summary        

    Plan and design node, sites & links within the national IP/MPLS Edge & Core Networks and ensure ongoing development aligns with the organization's business plan

    Principal Functions        

    • Produce network convergence hierarchy, topology, architecture and infrastructure redundancy plan for VPN serviceintegration, regional service provider edge aggregation and IP Core Transportvia the multi-service backbone.
    • Interface with Transmission specialistsand Topology for planning of optic (DWDM) backbone connectivity, capacityplanning and allocation for efficient transport of all internal and externaldata traffic.
    • Plan, design and optimize routing & transport technologies for provider EDGE aggregation and core transport networkintegration and verify requests, justify needs and classify all requestednetworks and services for MPLS VPN integration.
    • Plan, deploy and evolve Quality ofService techniques at the network Edge and in the MPLS core network.
    • Plan all backbone integration events, issue work orders and control project processes for capacity expansion, nodeintegration and/or new service introduction.
    • Conduct weekly & monthly networkperformance monitoring, trend analyses, capacity planning and expansion in linewith network growth trends and increase in traffic.
    • Develop and evolve IP addressing, naming and numbering formats of all network nodes and elements in the IP/MPLSbackbone.
    • Produce and evolve designs forintegration and extension of IP/MPLS edge functionality to the campus LAN Coreat all IP Backbone locations.
    • Plan schedule and conduct site visitsand surveys for accurate and effective network design, dimensioning andintegration planning.
    • Assist in network capacity planning, network disaster recovery planning, Network synchronization planning, contactmanagement, project management, SLA (Service-level agreements specifications).
    • Provide input towards architectural andtopology plans of the entire core network.
    • Help monitor technology evolution andmatch vendor strategy.
    • Evaluate cost benefit of mediatechnologies.
    • Perform other duties as instructed bythe Manager, IP Planning & Enterprise Solution

    Educational Requirements        

    • First degree or equivalent inElectrical Engineering  
    • Three (3) to five (5) year relevant workexperience
    • Cisco Certification in Routing & Switching required (CCNP)
