    Service Fulfillment & Support Engineer

    Purpose of the Job

    • Improve SLAs with customers by reducing MTTR, and enhancing overall service delivery.

    Key Deliverables:

    • Restore service failures within specified timeframes for Corporate and Retail Customers.
    • Implement and integrate new projects promptly.
    • Communicate incident management updates into the OTRS Application.
    • Conduct preventive maintenance on network nodes/segments.
    • Engage in presale engineering activities, including bid document preparation.

    Network Support Engineer

    Purpose of the Job (Brief)

    • Provide first-level off-site technical support for all ipNX services, including Voice, Data connectivity, Internet services, Wimax services, etc. Consistently deliver a high level of excellent customer service and support, ensuring customer satisfaction.

    Key Responsibilities (Deliverables)

    • Incident Management (First Call Resolution)
    • Manage service request life-cycle: receive, log, and take ownership of all general service requests, progressing to resolution.
    • Respond to faults, providing timely, complete, and accurate resolution to customer inquiries via email, phone, or web calls.
    • Monitor and escalate based on SLAs, coordinating with other teams as necessary to resolve customer issues within contracted SLAs.
    • Proactively monitor all ipNX-owned and installed network elements in corporate customers’ premises.
    • Ensure prompt response to inbound calls and emails.
    • Follow up on unresolved complaints/open tickets to closure.

    Inventory and Supply Chain Management Officer

    Job Description

    • Implement the company’s policies and guidelines with regards to Inventory management process while supporting regional

    Outside Plant Maintenance Supervisor

    Job Description

    • The Outside Plant (OSP) Supervisor oversees maintenance of ipNX fiber optic & civil work activities on the outside plant network.
    • The OSP Supervisor will be involved in the day-to-day maintenance and management of the outside plant, taking into consideration Customer and Local Authority organizations in the maintenance of the fiber outside plant. The role is expected to involve a significant element of on-site attendance.
    • Corporate Customers: Restore service failures within 3 hours of its occurrence - Implementation and integration of new projects and ensure all open incident tickets are closed within this time-frame.
    • Retail Customers: Restore service failures within 12 hours of its occurrence.
    • Incident Management Communication: Provide prompt feedback for input into the OTRS application with information relating to activities being carried out to resolve customer service incidents. Provide operational data for FTTH Network Monitoring and analysis work that feeds into the improvement of fiber break-fix MTTR.
    • Audit and collate information for the fiber outside plant network. Prepare the as-maintained documents within region/sub-region managed for the O&M Unit.
    • Ensure weekly support status reports are done and submitted timely for review.
    • Activate FOS Customer requests within 3 days of signup.
    • Sign-off the Customer Feedback Form, prepare and submit post-activation report.

    Educational Qualifications & Functional Skills:
    Academic:

    • University Degree in Telecoms, Engineering, or Applied Sciences.

    Experience:

    • At least 3 years in the telecommunications industry, with experience in Fiber network deployments and outside plant maintenance.

    Functional Skills:

    • Proven track records of maintenance and management of metro and/or long-distance fiber optic infrastructure.
    • Sound knowledge of telecom industry best practices, norms, and technical requirements with regard to fiber & civil work maintenance.
    • FTTx and/or P2P fiber deployment and maintenance experience are distinct advantages, i.e., fiber termination using fusion splice machines, testing & analyzing fiber links with OTDR and Light Source/Power Meters (LSPM), identifying fiber cores with VFLs.
    • Capable of understanding fiber network architectures, designs & splice plans.
    • An inherent culture of documenting concise and accurate "As-Is" status of network elements and splice configuration, in a consistent manner.
    • Familiarity with the requirements of Health & Safety legislation in Nigeria.
    • Experience in civil works supervision & quality control.
    • Experience in processing ROW License with Local Authorities/State Regulatory Agencies.
    • User experience for Microsoft Office Tools, including a good working knowledge of Microsoft Project.

    Outside Plant Project Supervisor

    Job Description

    • The Project Supervisor will be directly responsible for and actively involved in project execution planning, monitoring and control, stakeholders' engagement, and risk averting, in an effective manner that ensures projects are delivered to time, quality, and scope.
    • The role will typically involve everyday visits to project sites to ensure project objectives are not compromised and where necessary, guide the contractor to solve complex installation problems.
    • The project supervisor is also responsible for final integration & commissioning of service terminals (GPON or P2P) within acceptable loss levels and submitting test reports required for service fulfillment and maintenance operations.
    • Effective planning of P2P and GPON Fiber Projects
    • Provide daily project work plan and activity reports to team lead/data analyst, every day, throughout the duration of the project.
    • Provide prompt updates on issues/challenges that may impact project delivery dates.
    • Sign out and move materials to project site, in a timely manner.
    • Review quality of materials supplied to site by contractor (e.g. PVC, HDPE, GI pipes, iron rods, etc.) and ensure they meet ipNX standards. Reject sub-standard materials and escalate back to your Team Lead.
    • Enforce compliance with work methods and other deployment guidelines within Estates & MTUs.
    • Actively monitor civil works (trenching/ducting, hand-holes construction, pole planting, cabinet installation).
    • Actively supervise cable pulling/MST box installation, splicing and termination.
    • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations in line with SHE standards, e.g., working at heights, working around power lines, working in greenfield environments, working around underground utilities, working at night, etc.
    • Provide daily/regular activity reports to Estate/Facility Manager in a timely manner and manage issues proactively.
    • Maintain a healthy relationship with Estate/Facility Manager, residents/customers and other key stakeholders.
    • Ensure a healthy relationship between project team & key stakeholders (e.g. EM/FM, residents, customers, property owners, area boys, etc.).
    • Validate, submit & track variations until approval.
    • Validate and track milestone payments until approval.
    • Ensure project snags are cleared before hand-over/audit.
    • Submit kick-off meeting reports, milestone reports, MST or P2P splice reports, OTDR trace test and hand-over reports.
    • All reports must be submitted 24 hrs after activity/task completion.
    • Attend all project meetings – weekly review meetings, on-site kick-off meetings, divisional meetings, customer triggered meetings, emergency meetings.
    • Actively participate & lead project hand-over/audit exercise.
    • Proactively engage stakeholders to mitigate escalations that may stall/delay project speed.
    • Provide support to other team members or units where necessary, or as instructed by your team lead or unit head.

    Educational Qualifications & Functional Skills
    Academic:

    • University Degree in Telecoms, Engineering or Applied Sciences. Certifications in Fibre Optic Cabling, CFOT or FOA will be an added advantage. Certifications in HSE Grade III will be an added advantage.

    Functional Skills:

    • Proficient use of fiber test tools e.g. OTDR, power meter & Light source, VFL.
    • Proficient use of design software e.g. AutoCAD, Visio/GIS tools, etc.
    • Proficient use of basic data analytics software, e.g. Excel, Word, Google live sheets.
    • Excellent Communication Skills (Written & Oral).

    Outside Plant Planning and Design Technician

    Job Description

    • Site Survey and Design
    • Conduct Site surveys for study and planning of new FTTH deployment.
    • Prepare Low Level Design of Civil and Fiber Infrastructure for Optical Distribution Network (ODN) deployment to cover future demands.
    • FTTH Optical Distribution Network (ODN) planning, Cost estimation, Route Selection, fiber Management and Fiber Link
