    Analyst - Bid

    Mission

    • Respond to RFx (Request For Proposals (RFPs); Request For Quotes (RFQs); Request For Information (RFI); Invitation To Tenders (ITTs); Expression of Interests (EoIs); etc.) on behalf of MTN Nigeria.
    • Appropriately respond to Vendor Management requests (Vendor Pre-qualifications/Registrations/Assessments/Audits, etc.)

    Description

    • Support sales team in making the most of sales opportunities through driving intelligence gathering and value-adding bids and proposals 
    • Ensure compliance to MTNN’s accepted bid governance & processes, regulatory requirements and the use of best global practices in the preparations of bid responses
    • Drive increase in revenue through proactive participation in competitive bids, tenders and proposals
    • Ensure accurate and timely reporting of bid team’s activities
    • Ensure adequate and timely response on vendor registration requests
    • Ensure competitiveness of bids by engaging both the Pricing Team and the Account Team
    • Ensure different bid portals are active and up and running
    • Notify respective teams before hand of the expiration time of corporate certificates used in bidding and follow up till renewal

    Education:

    Senior Manager - Finance Services and Control Technology

    Mission

    • To provide overall management and guidance for the provision of financial support for MTNN business optimization.

    Description

    • Develop short and long term business strategy for the Network Financial Control Division, administering all financial/business planning and resource development supports for Network Group (NWG).

    Manager - Banking and Cash Management

    Mission

    • To manage MTNN banking relationships, cash management and short-term investments and maximize financial returns on MTNN assets and mitigate financial risk.

    Description

    • Support the development and maintenance of systems projects to manage and improve cash flow and banking information
    • Prepare board paper and memoranda as it relates to banking and other related projects.
    • Develop and obtain approvals for implementing appropriate policies and procedures. 
    • Manage Cash or Liquidity:

    Dealer - Treasury Operations Fixed Income

    Mission

    • To provide support in the management of MTNN’s excess cash in the fixed income space to preserve cash value, optimize yield and provide sufficient liquidity for the funding of crucial obligations of the business. 

    Description

    • Define counterparty risk exposure limit for Banks based on defined financial and risk criteria
    • Update the Investment Policy Statement and asset allocation matrix as required and especially in line with changing business and market factors
    • Develop trading strategies on fixed income based on market fundamentals and technical analysis 
    • Collate daily bank indicative quotes on fixed income securities to aid investment decisions.
    • Prepare management reports on market, competitor and general intelligence that impact the business; while maintaining Treasury records and audit trail in strict compliance to MTNN policies and procedures.

    Analyst - Supplier Performance

    Description

    • Determine suppliers for supplier performance management as per MTN’s supply management policy and information based on supplier performance reports and supplier segmentation.

    Coordinator - Release Management

    Description

    • Coordinate and manage the process of planning, building, testing and deploying MTNN IS hardware, application and software and version control and storage of software and releases.
    • Keep a record of releases per Service or System and maintain a list. 
    • Ensure release management process governs the provision of standard architecture for all new and changed applications. DEV, UAT, PROD, DR
    • Coordinate, convene, and facilitate Release Management meetings and maintain a schedule of approved and tentative releases.
    • Verify the completeness and timeliness of Release information entered into the system and follows up on non-compliant release to the process.
    • Coordinate and monitor the effective deployment of MTNN IS patch management process to guide against viral attack and escalate all recorded patch policy breaches by Infrastructure or Managed Service Partner team. 
    • Refine processes that identify, control, maintain and verify all changes and releases in controlled environments.
    • Identify improvement areas in the project delivery cycle and implement lessons learned following project closure.
    • Utilization of applicable checklist, mapping release type to project delivery type and ensuring predefined release criteria for identified delivery type. 
    • Risk evaluation and mitigation for all releases, converting all pre-identified risk to Problem tickets should they remain open by planned deployment date. 
    • Ensure adherence to and alignment with change management process as a CAB member providing adequate input for planned unapproved releases. 
    • Partake in MTNN IT Vendor & partner Evaluation processes, jointly with Vendor Management.  
    • Participate in post-implementation reviews for all products and services, maintaining an updated tracker for all identified issues while ensuring prompt resolution within agreed SLAs.
    • Produce ad hoc resource usage reports and analysis.
    • Create monthly, quarterly release schedule calendars and ensure compliance to proposed go-live dates.
    • Evaluate, prioritize multiple clients’ needs internal and external of the business.
    • Provision of post-production Early Life Support program for all class A applications and services with adequate operations handover ceremonies to ensure proper handshake between delivery and operations
    • Management of the IT release and deployment pipeline by implementing new-age code deployment practices and governance processes across DEV, SIT, UAT, PRE PROD and PROD environments, adequately tracking build and release versions through the source code management platform.
    • Application of agile transition structures and processes for all IT Agile deliveries. 
    • Develop and evolve release and deployment management processes to align with DevOps practices and guidelines. 
    • Ensure service and infrastructure CI decommissioning as output of IT release management phase.

    Analyst - Infrastructure Management

    Mission

    • Develop, document and oversee the life cycle and maintenance of IT infrastructure components, including servers, database, backup, storage, and systems management components for MTNN in accordance with standard design specifications.

    Description

    • Create and direct adequate monitoring and alerting for complex virtual clusters (VMware, Oracle VM, Linux KVM) physical server, database, storage, backup infrastructure to detect anomalies and prevent service disruptions to the greatest degree possible
    • Identify ways to streamline IT Infrastructure architecture documentation and align them to international best practice.
    • Collaborate with Solution delivery and development teams to evaluate and identify optimal on-premise and cloud solutions.

    Manager - Infrastructure Operations

    Mission

    Manager - Service Operation

    Mission

    • To interface with MTN business customers, plan for and proactively implement processes that enable IT/IS deliver sustained levels of service or ensure rapid restoration of service in the event of major incidents or disaster, matching resources to business demand at a justifiable cost.

    Description

    • Review trends in the telecommunications industry, identify and evaluate advances in telecom technology and markets, and project knowledge of competitive trends and industry direction to aid management in developing business plans.
    • Develop, track, and analyze competitive performance and developments in the industry (locally and globally), and assess market size (volume and value).
    • Develop and monitor all network metrics to measure key performance indicators.
    • Develop an outlook report to provide management with up-to-date information on the current performance of the industry and market as well as future developments.
    • Assist in the identification and mitigation of risks that may impact the business and provide scenarios to achieve the most favorable financial returns.
    • Maintain database of records, data, and information that are relevant to the telecommunications industry and useful for planning and optimization of MTNN business activities, solve intelligence and information problems, and provide insight from incomplete information.

    Education:

    • First degree in any relevant discipline 
    • Fluent in English 

    Experience

    • 3 – 7 years’ experience including:
    • Experience working in a medium-sized organization.
    • Experience as a business analyst or business analyst support.
    • Strong talent for drawing conclusions and recommendations from complex data set

    Coordinator - Scrum Master

    Mission

    • To provide comprehensive assistance in business change requests initiation, planning, execution, control and closure to facilitate IT agile deliveries.
    • To help facilitate scrum to the larger team by ensuring the scrum framework is followed.

    Description

    • Assist in compiling project charter including projecting project scope, problem statement and goal statemen
    • Coordinate all Scrum activities including sprints, retrospective meetings, and daily stand-ups for assigned teams
    • Work with the Product owner to define Product roadmap for the Tribes, handle backlogs and new requests
    • Coach team members on Agile frameworks and practices
    • Act as the point of contact for external communications (e.g., from customers or stakeholders)
    • Remove impediments and coach the scrum team on removing impediments, contribute to establishing the Sprint Goal; monitor Sprint Progress; 
    • Ensure adherence to all PSCOM processes towards delivering Epics and User stories 
    • Help the scrum team achieve higher levels of scrum maturity
    • Measure, analyse, and report on progress per Scrum team by identifying team velocity, story-points, estimation, Burndown Charts, Burn Up Charts and other agreed parameters
    • Gather relevant status and assist in providing with up-to-date information on all active sprint deliverables (where applicable) to Agile Manager
    • Track sprint activities in compliance with planning guidelines and plans
    • Ensure deliverables are up to quality standards at the end of each sprint 
    • Develop Sprint plans for all assigned scrum team 
    • Schedule and track quality assurance reviews within the Scrum team and assist with formal success reviews
    • Prepare and circulate status update reports including burndown chart, burn-up chart 
    • Track and monitor identified risks and proactively escalate risks in accordance with related escalation rules (where applicable) and procedures.

    Education:

    • First degree in any related discipline 
    • Certification in Agile practices (e.g.  PSMi, PMI-ACP, SAFe, CSM, ICP)
    • Fluent in English

    Experience:

    • 3 - 7 years of experience which includes;
    • Experience working in a small to medium organization
    • Candidates must have good use of computer and JIRA + Confluence software packages
    • Experience in managing small to medium sized teams

    Coordinator - Business Relationship Management

    Mission

    • Understand the changing business needs and determine levels of IT Service required to support the business.
    • Translate Strategic, Tactical and Operational objectives of MTNN business units to Service Level Agreements/IT deliverables

    Description

    • Develop and manage the IT business relationship with other divisions of the business to improve satisfaction.
    • Disseminate information and liaise with other service management areas to drive service delivery.
    • Gather business requirements and translate them to IT deliverables based on MTNN business plan.
    • Negotiate and agree on SLAs with the business unit and liase with other supporting business units
    • Drive the implementation of business requirements to support IT objectives and validate the adoption of IS service offerings.
    • Facilitate meetings with various IT units to discuss and resolve escalations or identified customer issues.
    • Maintain IT Service Catalogue, drive IT Service Improvement initiatives, collate and verify Service Level requirements and facilitate the monitoring and reporting of IT Service Levels achievements
    • Initiate and maintain business engagement processes and customer engagement forums

    Education:

    • First degree in any related discipline 
    • Foundation Certificate in ITIL4 – IT Service Management, Scrum Master, DevOps
    • Practitioner in ITIL Service Level Management will be an added advantage
    • Fluent in English

    Experience:

    • 3 - 7 years’ experience which includes:
    • Experience working in a medium organization and IT Service support function
    • Experience in Business Relationship Management
    • Experience in Customer, Agile and Project management 
    • Experience dealing with Change Management issues
    • Experience working with a range of Service providers
