    General Manager - Network Operations

    Mission

    • To lead MTN Nigeria network operations team to operate and maintain MTN network nationwide, in order to meet the goals and objectives of the division and ensure MTN’s quality and service commitment to subscribers.

    Description

    • Review MTNN corporate direction and develop NWG Operations strategy for coverage enhancement, capacity and network performance optimization so as to ensure efficient utilization of deployed capacity.
    • Review MTNN corporate direction and develop regional operations service strategy ensuring alignment with MTN corporate strategic objectives and develop plans to support business initiatives and enhance the Network Operations function.
    • Develop framework, policies, standards, methodologies, plans and procedures to guide NWG’s operations and to enable the division to provide high quality services and attain set goals and objectives of MTNN.
    • Ensure the MTN network is operated and maintained to company and market requirements as well as ITU.
    • Oversee prompt management of major faults and ensure continuous monitoring of operations and performance of the Access network.
    • Make contributions to and ensure weekly and monthly reports on overall performance of the network are available.
    • Work closely with other departments within the Network Group and other divisions to develop and improve NWG regional services and achieve operational excellence in MTNN.
    • Responsible for developing and setting acceptance criteria for new BTS sites integration and ensure the operations and maintenance of all Network radio, BTS and power equipment nationally, using the regional structures.
    • Review network access best practices, new technologies and the corporate needs and develop business plans for NWG Operations department, ensuring alignment with MTN corporate strategic objectives.
    • Provide technical leadership/advice in the formulation and development of departmental framework, policies/guidelines and ensure compliance of operations with MTN policies and procedures
    • Develop and set acceptance criteria for new sites integration as well as operational support systems.
    • Oversee smooth integration of new network elements into the operational network and ensure strict adherence to policies and procedures of MTNN.
    • Monitor and Maintain MTN network operations and associated platforms/systems to MTNN policies, the ITU specification as well as market requirements.
    • Evaluate existing/new applications and user requirements on high level specifics, react to, and resolve all major faults, promptly
    • Monitor operations and performance of the network and contribute to weekly/monthly reports on overall network performance, company-wide.
    • Ensure full understanding of the telecommunication industry (Global and Local) trends and developments in order to assess the strategic technology and regulatory impact on MTNN’s current and future business.
    • Ensure efficient network resource allocation and cost optimization by ensuring optimal capacity deployment
    • Establish processes and standards for impact assessment, and evaluation of systems and technologies with regards to customer experience
    • Define key performance indicators, formula and measurement processes and Set performance standards, targets and thresholds. 
    • Establish performance expectations, manage individual and team performance and development.
    • Provide leadership and direction in the operations, leading team to deliver on respective business targets and improve overall performance of the department.
    • Coach and mentor, the Network Operations’ team to ensure understanding of the objectives and goals of the department, leverage human resources career development programs for staff career development.

    Education:

    • First degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related Discipline.
    • MBA or MSC in a related field will be desirable.
    • Fluent in English.

    Experience:

    • Minimum 12 years’ work experience which includes:
    • Senior management track record of 3 years or more; with at least 3 years in Telecoms Industry.
    • Experience working in a global/multinational enterprise (understanding of emerging markets is advantageous).
    • Experience in Network Operations and maintenance.

    Coordinator - NES Regional East

    Description

    • Provide governance for all managed service vendors/Towerco in the region across different technologies supported.
    • Manage activities of CSEs and ensure smooth operations in the region
    • Act as high-level support for resolution and closure of critical service performance issues. 
    • Problem management to eliminate repetitive failures and guarantee QoS 
    • Drive contractual obligations to KPIs (MTTR, Planned Preventive Maintenance, Service Acceptance, Spares Utilization Management) 
    • Carry out periodic audit of MSAN nodes/RDLU to ensure they are optimal.
    • Govern ATP process and ensure all changes on enterprise network are captured on the database.
    • Provide business intelligence using data analytics from field, vendor, and Performance reports.
    • Review and verify all reports submitted by Vendors/Towerco on a weekly basis.
    • Supervise all planned network expansions, service migrations, modernization, and optimization activities in the region.
    • Review and verify all proforma invoices submitted by vendors/Towerco 
    • Co-ordinate regional change request management and provide relevant information to all stakeholders. 

    Education:

    • First degree in Engineering or Science related discipline
    • Numerical/data analysis skills 

    Experience:

    • 3-7 years of experience which includes;
    • Minimum of 3 years’ working experience in data processing, data analysis, and data presentation space/field 
    • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Excel, Power BI, SQL or related database management application and MS Power Point
    • Good customer and service management experience including stakeholders engagement, vendor management, problem management, data analytics using visualizations.
    • Good knowledge of IP and data networks, and performance KPIs

    Analyst - Data and Analytics

    Description

    • Configure, build, and test application or technical architecture components
    • Work with other developers, designers, and architects to make sure that the configuration and custom components meet application requirements and performance goals
    • Assist in developing maintenance plans per application and carry out the maintenance of applications, re-configuring, building and testing components in accordance with OLAs and SLAs
    • Code applications in accordance with good security coding practices to ensure the application is free of most common coding vulnerabilities
    • Create and execute technical test plans for application change, new deployment and upgrades

    Manager - Corporate Communication Digital

    Mission:

    • To develop an enterprise digital communications strategy, oversee the effectiveness of all internal digital communication platforms, and contribute to digital transformation through the deployment of high-performing intranet and multimedia solutions for internal campaigns and key business initiatives.

    Developer - Software Development

    Mission

    • To design, develop and maintain software applications that effectively address challenges, boost efficiency, enhance user satisfaction, fulfill user and business requirements, and improve overall experience.

    Description

    • Develop designs that support the functional requirements business application projects and include the conceptual, high-level, and detailed design specifications for build, implementation and support of these business solution. 
    • Complete analysis of and acquire a detailed understanding of the testing requirements for a given design and prepare a testing strategy.

    Coordinator - NES Projects

    Description

    • Directly manage installation, commissioning and integration of enterprise connectivity projects and other ad hoc projects that may arise from time to time.
    • Implement project changes and interventions to achieve project outputs as well as generate progress reports on projects, migrations and upgrades.
    • Ensure project timelines are met and resolve escalated issues affecting Enterprise installations as well as strict adherence to MTNN’s SHE policy.
    • Manage day-to-day operational aspect of a project and scope, and handover of completed projects to NES operations.
    • Coordinate related technical activities, the activities of contractors and ensure all project documentation is recorded and available for business use.

    Education:

    • Project Management or Education Certification (PMP, Scrum Agile, etc.) advantageous

    Coordinator - Radio Access Implementation

    Mission:

    • Coordinate all radio access implementation projects.

    Description

    • Manage change process and communicate progress of the projects to relevant project stakeholders.
    • Compile initial project plan with input from all the relevant resources, confirming plan with stakeholders.
