    Manager - Fulfilment Assurance and Billing FAB Services

    Mission:

    • Identify and facilitate the automation of key support processes (fulfillment, assurance, billing, reporting, etc.), in line with MTN's business strategy and in a manner that positions MTN as a force within the technology space.
    • Understand the business requirements of the Client Success team and conduct robust analysis that would support the design and deployment of effective solutions, leveraging robust business analysis and change management practices and frameworks.
    • Facilitate the delivery of other services through MTN ecosystem partners, driving robust engagement with key internal and external stakeholders.

    Description:

    • Drive the enhancement of delivery and support processes (fulfillment, assurance, billing, reporting, etc.) associated with various solutions (voice, data, converged/ICT) based on relevant market and business needs.
    • Adopt robust business analysis practices to ensure adequate solutioning and architecting.
      • Facilitating cross-functional engagements with relevant stakeholders in EB- segments, Clients services, Sales, Business Development and outside EB to support requirement reviews, analysis, management, and documentation with the aim of delivering business value.
      • Document detailed business requirements for the proposed concepts and business constructs from key stakeholders.
      • Ensure the robustness of testing and delivery of a solution that meets customers’ needs.
    • Drive E2E management of the initiative development process in terms of quality, timely delivery, and scope management.
      • Facilitate effective scoping and phasing of initiatives, ensuring deliveries are within agreed timelines;
      • Serve as the product owner for all FAB-related deployment activities, effectively carrying out all responsibilities of the product owner as defined by the SCRUM framework.
      • Drive an ongoing review of existing processes and automation requirements in line with technological advancements.
      • Regular coordination with the quality assurance and testing teams for scripting test cases, product validations, spotting any deviations from the agreed business requirements, and performing periodic product quality and performance checks to improve product quality via:
        • Rendering support in fixing issues identified
        • Or raising change requests where necessary to facilitate improvements and enhancements.
      • Ensure full integration of quality management processes within all activities of Propositions and Product Development Group and ensure full compliance with telecommunications license provisions, sector regulations, and competition laws.
    • Performance management and reporting: interlocking with the business intelligence team to ensure product performance and revenue insights are accurately reported and consistently monitoring product performance if there are any deviations from the budget, with the aim of:
      • Investigating any anomalies in the product configuration
      • Engaging the segments/CVM team and suggesting possible interventions to improve the product performance.
      • Engaging IT operations in the event of possible defects and resolutions
    • Contribute to effective change and transition management as part of the GTM planning and execution.
      • Maintain and manage a transition checklist to govern the go-live/transition to production process.
      • Establish post-implementation monitoring and early-life support structures, facilitating the early resolution of issues. 
    • Work with the Enterprise GTM team to develop effective in-life marketing communications and processes for enterprise solutions propositions, products, and services compatible with MTN Nigeria processes.

    Education:

    • First degree in any related discipline (Engineering, Sciences, Technology, etc.)
    • A master’s degree in product development, business analysis, system engineering, or project management will be an added advantage.
    • Fluent in English and the language of the country preferable.

    Experience:

    6–13 years’ work experience, including

    • 3 years or more in a similar solution architecting capacity (good knowledge of fulfillment, assurance, and billing journey) within the ICT space
    • E2E customer lifecycle management experience is an added advantage.
    • Advanced business analysis and solution architecting experience
    • Proven experience in project management, scrum, change management, process improvement, and product development.
    • Good understanding of systems, networks, mobile telecoms, mobile applications, and emerging technologies
    • Good knowledge of data architecture and structuring is advantageous.

    Advisor - Commercial Legal Operations

    Description

    • Ensure continuous liaison with External Solicitors for regular updates, compliance with procedural rules of court, stipulated time limits for actions, etc. so as to minimize the cost and adverse effect of litigation.
    • Review legal cases, petitions and internal matters requiring legal input /perspective, consult with all relevant parties, advise on case/petition/legal related matter, provide recommendation on course of action and effectively take appropriate and approved action in accordance with the rules and regulations of MTNN.
    • Draft legal agreements and review all relevant documentation supporting contracts for authenticity and validity, reviewing commercial agreements and documentation of transactions.
    • Conduct proactive prevention of litigation, ensuring Legal processes and services are effective and efficient in line with defined and approved design and rules. 
    • Administer controls to ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements and effectively integrate ethics, compliance and preventive law efforts, ensuring MTNN activities are compliant with laid down laws and governing regulations/statutes.
    • Prepare monthly management reports.
    • Carry out legal (administrative) services work including liaison/correspondence with external bodies and organizations, structuring and negotiating commercial transactions.
    • Settle legal issues between MTNN and 3rd parties, assisting in managing liquidations and disputes.
    • Continuously seek self-professional development to sharpen skills and capabilities in a versatile and evolving digital landscape.

    Education:

    • First Degree in Law

    Analyst - Treasury Operations

    Mission: 

    To perform and manage treasury-related analyses to ensure that there is efficient management of liquidity, optimal bank transactions and/or investments, and compliance with funding contractual obligations by MTNN.

    Description:

    • Query and verify all general ledger balances relating to bank accounts.
    • Monitor cash sweeps from the various sub accounts to the main accounts plus other transfers.
    • Carry out ratio analysis on banks, collate and analyze data on risk ratings and exposure limits, cash movements, exchange rate movements, bank charges, interest rates, lending rates, placements etc.
    • Evaluate banks and ensure regulatory compliance (e.g., CBN, NOTAP).
    • Collate information on economic conditions, the financial climate, and changes in corporate requirements.
    • Prepare management reports on market, competitor, and general intelligence that impact the business.
    • Perform a first review and recommendation of bank proposals before further review by the Treasury Manager.
    • Provide support to the business units requiring assistance in Treasury matters.
    • Maintain Treasury records and audit trails in strict compliance with MTNN policies and procedures.
    • Implement Treasury policies, processes, procedures, and tools for corporate cash management.
    • Report the year-end audit as it relates to Treasury.

    Education:

    • A first degree in accounting, economics, or any other related discipline
    • Fluent in English
    • Part-time qualification or membership in a professional accounting association will be an added advantage. (ACA, ACCA, ACMA)

    Experience:

    3-7 years’ experience in an area of specialization; with experience working with others

    • Experience working in a medium organization
    • Experience in financial environment, in treasury, banking or in FMCG environment.
    • Familiarity with good accounting practices and the Nigerian policy environment.

    Representative - Sales and Trade Development Rumuola

    Mission

    To manage and develop trade infrastructure and the channels of distribution especially retailers to ensure MTN dominance at retail in the assigned territory.

    Description

    • Confirm  that  sub dealers and dealer branches are contacted and stock receipt/movement verified. 
    • Provide informal training in shops on products, services and promotions being run by marketing, channel or region and on-the-spot training/coaching of all visited outlets in territory (100% of all visited outlets in call cycle)
    • Manage events and promos, generate sub-dealer promo specifications and perform post-promo evaluation
    • Provide weekly/monthly sales activity report and market intelligence report to field service engineers
    • Monitor and report back on network quality and other sales impacting indices in territory covered
    • Ensure call cycle time of 8 - 10 visits a day per territory or as business requires
    • Identify, classify and support all players in channels of distribution and ensure  weekly/monthly database update
    • Ensure MTN product availability in channel is >95% at all times and provide weekly product availability report of all visited outlets during call cycles
    • Direct all channel participants to MTN identified growth area within your territory
    • Establish consistent channel standards including branding as per channel recommendation.
    • Increase brand awareness – Signage, POS distribution and target 65% visibility in the channel of distribution (Trade marketing team will measure)
    • Support all identified outlets with 100% merchandizing as appropriate and defined.
    • Build relationship between lower and upper levels (i.e. authorized distributors and sub dealers), support trade partners and Sub dealers and link subs, retailers etc. to Trade Partners and help nurture the relationship

    Senior Manager - Technical Accounting

    Mission:

    • The Senior Manager: Technical Accounting will ensure financial integrity, compliance, and transparency for the respective Opco by adhering to the accounting standards. The role will play a pivotal role in ensuring that the financial reporting remains accurate and consistent by conducting meticulous reviews.
    • The role will also focus on promoting consistency in accounting treatments by collaborating with internal stakeholders, developing and implementing robust accounting policies, and performing post-implementation reviews of new accounting standards.
    • The incumbent for the role will also stay abreast of regulatory changes and emerging accounting developments and will provide timely guidance and essential training to the relevant team members, ensuring they are equipped to navigate and implement necessary adjustments effectively.

    Description:

    • Conduct detailed IFRS disclosure and presentation reviews of interim and annual financial statements to ensure the accuracy of earnings press releases, quarterly and annual filings, registration statements, and proxy statements.
    • Identify, maintain, and communicate all current and upcoming accounting pronouncements relevant to Opco's financial statements.
    • Review contracts and assess their impact on revenue recognition.
    • Provide guidance on complex technical accounting scenarios, including multiple-element arrangements and contract modifications.
    • Assist in developing and updating accounting policies and procedures
    • Complete post-implementation reviews following the implementation of new accounting standards
    • Ensure consistent application of accounting policies across the Opco
    • Conduct in-depth research on accounting issues, including complex transactions, non-standard arrangements, and emerging topics.
    • Prepare technical memos documenting conclusions and recommendations.
    • Provide input into various board committee submissions detailing the accounting implications of proposed transactions.
    • Participate in strategic meetings, ensure relevant participation, and provide guidance and input in the various discussions. Solicit feedback and input from relevant reporting and analytics teams.
    • Drive adequate risk mitigation and controls and elicit input from relevant parties by closely working with the internal audit team.
    • Escalate issues to the Opco CFO and group technical accounting team that will result in severe time, scope, productivity, and cost or resource impacts.
    • Request relevant budgets for internal projects.

    Education:

    • Fluent in English
    • Postgraduate in accounting or a related area of study
    • Chartered Accountant

    Experience:

    9–17 years’ experience, which includes:

    • A minimum of 5 years of experience in the technical accounting department of a big four audit firm or large corporate 
    • Experience in financial reporting
    • Familiarity with financial accounting concepts for public companies and requirements for listed companies in Nigeria
    • In-depth knowledge of IFRS accounting standards and their application to telecommunications companies
    • Proven track record of leading technical accounting teams, demonstrating expertise in regulatory compliance and financial reporting.
    • Experience in providing guidance and support to finance teams on complex technical accounting matters, including revenue recognition, lease accounting, and impairment assessments.
    • Experience in monitoring and interpreting accounting standard changes.
    • Prior experience in the telecom industry and financial services will be an advantage.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex accounting issues and provide practical solutions.
    • Proficiency in conducting technical accounting research and preparing well-supported position papers to guide decision-making at senior management levels.

    Manager - Transmission Performance

    Mission:

    • Manage performance of the transmission network domain (microwave links, fiber infrastructure, DWDM, satellite, and CTN transport) to ensure optimal service quality.

    • Drive optimal resource utilization and allocation on the transport network.
    • Develop network performance standard specifications and provide reports.
    • Automate network performance reports and dashboards.
    • Ensure tests and procedures are carried out, evaluated, and properly understood, and ensure product modifications are investigated.
    • Providing regular independent performance reports to management, Group and regulators, indicating the actual levels of key performance indicators (KPIs).
    • Provide an internal network quality and audit function, allowing independent and objective performance analysis of the network and its impact on the business, including commercial promotion and activity impact analysis.
    • Performance and capacity monitoring and reporting of transmission nodes (DWDM, CTN, microwave links, satellites, synchronization clocks, etc.)
    • Analysis of the trend of management critical Transmission KPIs report on performance anomalies and exceptions and recommend optimal performance.
    • Coordinate preventive maintenance, routine parameter audits, and consistency checks on transmission nodes.
    • Monitor transmission NEs with the aim of identifying poor performance and escalating or following up on partners or other departments to improve performance and give customers the desired experience.
    • Coordinate KPI improvement recommendations to ensure timely intervention in the case of perceived degradation in transmission node performance.
    • Coach and train the Transmission Performance team to ensure understanding of the objectives and goals of the department, awareness of set targets and requirements, and regular review of their training needs.

    Education:

    • Bachelor’s degree in a field of engineering, preferably electrical or electronic
    • A master’s degree in electrical or electronic engineering is an added advantage.
    • Fluent in English

    Experience:

    • Experience working in a big organization.

    Mission:

    To lead and manage a team of client success partners to deliver excellent customer support, manage billing, credit, and collections, execute customer support operational plans, manage customer relationships with MTNN, and ensure compliance with regulatory and internal audit requirements.
