    FAC Supply Clerk

    Summary:

    The U.S. Consulate General in Lagos, Nigeria is seeking eligible and qualified applicants for the Facility (FAC) Supply Clerk position in the Facilities Maintenance Section.

    Duties

    The FAC Supply Clerk works under the direct supervision of the Facility Manager and is responsible for the acquisition, storage, inventory control and issuance of building maintenance supplies, repair parts and materials for Facility Management (FAC).

    Incumbent supports FAC maintenance shops by obtaining supplies from GSO, ensuring that the right hand and powered tools equipment and parts are ordered, stocked and issued.  Incumbent serves as an incidental operator of official vehicles and is expected to pick up and delver supplies and tools as required.    

    Requirements:

    • All selected candidates must be able to obtain and hold a Public Trust Security Clearance. 
    • All selected candidates will be subject to a background investigation and, may be subject to a pre-employment medical exam.

    Selected candidate must be able to begin working within a reasonable period of time (6 weeks) upon receipt of agency authorization and/or clearances/certifications or their candidacy may end.

    Education Requirements:

    • Completion of secondary school is required. 

    Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of experience in supply/warehousing/expendable or property management is required.

    Expeditor

    Summary:

    The U.S. Consulate General in Lagos, Nigeria is seeking eligible and qualified applicants for two (2) Expediter positions in the General Service Office.

    Duties

    Incumbent assist with all travel arrangements as necessary for mission personnel.  Performs general expediter services of all U.S. Agencies personnel and visitors.  Meet arriving and departing U.S. Mission personnel at the International and Domestic terminals in the airport. Facilitate passenger arrivals and departures through check-in, customs, immigration, and luggage areas. 

    Serve as advocate for all airport formalities to include security screening, missing baggage, travel documents and escort to lounges.  Assist with luggage and tags, boarding passes, air tickets, passports and other related travel documents.  Assist with transportation arrangements to/from airports.   Follow up to retrieve lost luggage from subsequent airlines.

    Requirements:

    • All selected candidates must be able to obtain and hold a Public Trust Security Clearance.

    Automotive Mechanic

    Summary:

    The U.S. Consulate General in Lagos, Nigeria is seeking eligible and qualified applicants for three (3) Auto mechanic positions in the General Service Office.

    Duties

    Incumbent serves as a Maintenance Mechanic in General Services Office/Motorpool (GSO).  incumbent is responsible for the daily operation of vehicle maintenance and automotive service scheduling. Incumbent provides quality control for major maintenance on vehicles and performing basic on site maintenance on vehicles.   

    Education Requirements:

    • Completion of secondary school is required. Vocational automotive repair training, journeyman mechanic, or apprenticeship certification is required.

    Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of experience as an automotive mechanic is required.

    Job Knowledge: 

    Good working knowledge of relevant USG travel regulations and Mission Nigeria travel policies. Good working knowledge of Customs, Immigration and Port Health authority’s procedures for clearing cargo/and navigation within the airport is required
