    JV Account Payable Officer

    Responsibilities and Key Objectives:

    • Prepare weekly cash position report.
    • Ensure the relevant user department approves all invoices before posting them into the accounting system.
    • Ensure all invoices are approved by the audit department before entering the bi-weekly payment run and consult with banks on transaction processing as required.
    • Reconcile AP ledger to ensure they reflect accurate records.
    • Ensure relevant taxes (VAT, WHT, NCD, etc) are deducted from applicable invoices and recorded in the accounting system.
    • Ensure payment terms in the vendor’s contract are complied with, and any deviation is flagged and approved before processing.
    • Processing all staff payment vouchers
    • Reviewing all bills/ payment vouchers and consulting with respective cost centres to ensure the genuineness of transactions.
    • Ensuring correct coding of all payment vouchers/bills for transactions to be posted into the right account in the General Ledger.
    • Proper filing of all accounts payable and treasury documents.
    • Monthly bank reconciliation and posting of accruals.
    • Support project accounting function as required.

    Education:

    • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or any other discipline.
    • Part or fully qualified chartered/certified accountant

    Job Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

    • Upstream oil and gas accounting experience
    • Minimum of three years of relevant professional experience
    • Effective communication skills
    • Willingness to learn.
    • Ability to work as part of a team.
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality and total discretion always.
    • Good verbal and written communication skills and people skills

    Piping Vessels & Valves Engineer

    Job Summary

    • The PVV Engineer is responsible for ensuring that the Piping Vessels & Valves deliverables meet the COMPANY and standard specifications and are delivered within the schedule.
    • He would be responsible for addressing all clarifications related to Piping Vessels & Valves, participate in technical reviews, supervise, and guide the FEED Engineering Contractor on process activities as well as any other specialized contractor.

     
    Main Responsibilities

    • To follow up on all activities related to PVV and ensure compliance with COMPANY/Project specifications and with the requirements of the project documentation.
    • To manage the technical evaluation of the bids and prepare technical recommendations with the Engineering Manager.
    • To follow-up piping, procurement, construction, expediting, FAT, and assist in pre-commissioning for discipline-related activities.
    • To track and follow up on CONTRACTOR’s activities in their discipline and ensure compliance with General Specifications, Codes, and Standards.
    • Ensure materials and equipment are stored and preserved in line with the OEM’s recommendation.
    • To review and comment on CONTRACTOR documents within the project review cycle.
    • To anticipate problems in his/her discipline, proffer solutions, and escalate to the COMPANY Engineering Manager as necessary.
    • To highlight and report any deficiencies or changes to the Contractual scope of the basis of design. Management is to be immediately informed regarding any deviation, risk, or concerns related to HSE, technical, planning, or cost issues. 
    • To review and analyze planning updates including a critical path for discipline-related activities; review and approve progress for discipline-related activities, and coordinate with the COMPANY Engineering Manager. 
    • To ensure that CONTRACTOR resources and organization are adequate and competent for achieving the discipline of engineering and procurement works. 
    • To prepare responses to all technical requests from CONTRACTOR and Project to add value by minimizing costs without sacrificing safety or the level of quality. This includes offering solutions and informing the Engineering Manager. 
    • To provide detailed assistance to the COMPANY Engineering Manager on derogations, exemptions, or modification requests. 
    • To undertake a technical evaluation of Change Order Requests for the parts related to the discipline. 
    • To participate in all audit activities (HSE, PRs, HAZOPS, HAZID, SPOT, etc…). 
    • To actively participate in inter-discipline reviews, eg: QA/QC activities, Precom/com, start-up, O&Ms…) 
    • To participate and propose solutions in interface resolution between Contractors for all MEC matters. 
    • To ensure that the scope of work is fulfilled in his/her discipline. 
    • Carry out any other duties as may be required by the hierarchy.

    Educational Qualifications

    • University degree in Mechanical Engineering or its equivalent.
