    Logistics Officer

    Key Activities
    Order Management:

    • Assist in ensuring that the company is compliant with all import and export control laws and regulations and related government requirements
    • Track the location of shipment of goods
    • Engage Suppliers/ OEMs on the dispersal of materials to ensure the align with agreed INCOTERMS
    • Engage stakeholders within and outside the company to ensure timelines for deliverables are met.

    Delivery / Document Management:

    • Gather, manage, audit, and maintain files of all necessary import documentation and information for Customs clearance that includes, but not limited to commercial invoices, packing lists, and AWBs Logistics Manager Logistics Officer
    • Coordinate the activities of clearing agents & Freight forwarders to ensure the company is appropriately represented.

    Ancillary Services:

    • Engage in daily tasks including process improvement, and other duties as assigned by the Head of department or line manager.

    Educational Qualifications & Functional Skills

    • Minimum of Second class lower.
    • Import/Export management
    • Documentation skills.
    • Analytical & forecasting skill Work Experience:
    • Experienced Import and export professional with broad understanding of import and export knowledge in Telecom industry.

    NMS Engineer

    Key Activities
    Network Monitoring

    • To monitor the network 24*7,providing all required support both to field Engineers as well as to the respective service Providers, ensuring escalations are carried out in line with the defined guidelines
    • Ensure smooth running of all network monitoring systems: both for Core network nodes and transmission network
    • TRANSMISSION AND CORE NETWORK ENGINEER NMS Engineer

    Network Operations:

    • Run on 24*7*365 network monitoring operation.
    • Ensure Core network and Customer links Monitoring applications are functioning properly: Solarwinds, Nagios, Nagviz, SAM, VNQM etc.
    • Engagement of various Colo/POPs sites manager in ensuring smooth running of the sites and our equipment there in. Escalating issues related to cooling, voltage instability, shelter leakages etc

    Escalation:

    •  Ensure continuous engagement of vendors and OEMs on service related issues

     Network Optimization:

    • Proactively escalate issues to the network infrastructure team for capacity planning and network optimization

    Access Management:

    • Managing access request for Operation team visit to POPs/Colo sites, arranging joint visits to sites

    Reporting:

    • Generate and compile regular report/availability for each of the Colo sites and service Providers.

    Monitoring & Troubleshooting and Alerting:

    • Proactive monitoring of the status and performance of network infrastructure and services across the regions.
    • Troubleshooting and resolving first level network outages on the network.
    • Perform second level Escalation on network outages or faults to responsible parties.
    • Proactive monitoring of the FTTH network (OLT outages, PON port outages, link outages, etc.) for all faults and outages.
    • Proactive monitoring of hardware status of equipment (cooling, power, security, etc.) running on the network and escalating to responsible parties in the event of a fault.
    • Proactive monitoring of network trends and alert for network optimization and planning.
    • Proactive monitoring services (AAA servers, freeside, access control servers, etc.) supporting the network and escalating in the event of any outages.

    Client and Third-party Interaction:

    • Processing access into third party sites on the network for visiting engineers.
    • Providing remote support to field engineers during network outages.
    • Engaging third-party providers (collocation, leased-lines, etc) on any faults and follow-up till outages are resolved.
    • Raising tickets for faults on the network for tracking and effective escalation
    • Handling ticket escalations from customers and providing necessary support and updates.
    • Generate daily, Weekly and Monthly reports on all network outages, network performance and service availability for third party providers on the network.

    Educational Qualifications & Functional Skills

    • University Degree in Engineering
    • Professional Qualification (CCNA, CompTIA Network +, ITIL, etc.) an added advantage
    • Knowledge of networking and network monitoring/management
    • Knowledge and experience with various web technologies
    • Ability to learn new things quickly.

    Work Experience:

    • At least 1 year in telecommunications industry
    • Familiarity with Linux environment.
    • Fair Idea of SNMP monitoring

    Back End Network Engineer

    Purpose of the Job

    • To provide first-level off-site technical support for all wire-line infrastructure, including backbone, FTTx, and outside plant, among others.
    • To consistently provide high-quality customer service and support while ensuring customer satisfaction.

    Key Activities

    • Incident Management (First Level Support)
    • Identifies the root-cause of customer issue & advice’s on how to resolve the issue.
    • Identifies resources needed to solve the issue and estimates the effort required.
    • Receive, log and take ownership of all faults. Respond to Business and Retail Engineering Team and provide timely, complete and accurate resolution to customer inquiries via email or phone.
    • Monitor and escalate based on SLAs, coordinate with other teams as may be necessary to resolve customer link issues within the agreed SLAs.
    • Proactively monitor all owned & wire-line connections (Backbone, P2P and FTTx).
    • Network Operations and Optimization
    • Run on 24*7*365 network monitoring operation.
    • Proactively escalate issues to the Infrastructure team for capacity planning and Network optimization
    • Prompt Response to inbound calls and emails.
    • Ensure daily updates of all complaints not closed (open tickets) by following up with person(s), units and organizations responsible.
    • Timely Escalation/feedback to relevant units.
    • Liaise with the OSP on updates of progress on link restoration and Incidents reports ensuring they are kept up to date. Dissemination of information regarding corrective maintenance, causes, planned outage period for repair/preventive maintenance
    • Preparing Technical Reports and Documentation
    • Prepare daily incidence summary reports.
    • Prepare weekly/monthly link availability reports for Backbone, P2P & FTTx.
    • Produce periodic error-free link reports in order to inform both management and our customers of service levels achieved and areas of service improvement required Documentation of all modification before and after corrective/preventive maintenance (e.g. ODF port reports, OTDR trace test, straight line diagrams, cabinet utilization reports)
    • Inventory Management: Ensure availability of maintenance consumables. Trigger reorder before stock-out. Ensure repair / return of maintenance equipment.

    Educational Qualifications & Functional Skills

    • Academic: B.Sc / B.Eng Computer Science / Computer Engineering / Electrical-Electronics Engineering

    Functional Skills:

    • Proven track records of maintenance and management of metro and/or long distance fiber optic infrastructure.
    • CCNA (Desired)
    • Strong telecommunications & in-depth knowledge of wire-line access Network.
    • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
    • Display customer centricity in response to requests and also outage restoration within stated SLA’s.

    Work Experience:

    • A hands on experience with the following is a must: IP Routing and VLANs.
    • Experience with Fiber Optics Point-to-Point and FTTx technologies is desirable.
    • Candidate must possess excellent customer interface, analytical and presentation skills and be able to influence internal and external customers.
