    Manager - Marketing Content Management, MTN GlobalConnect

    Key Performance Areas: Core, essential responsibilities/outputs of the position (KPA's)
    Content Marketing Strategy:

    • Create a plan that links marketing with product management and sales, aligns with the core business objectives, and adds measurable value to the bottom line.  Develop and deliver an effective content strategy aligned to the brand strategy
    • Seek input and define the goals. Ensure the vision, mission statements, and objectives are aligned with annual goals. Get input from the exco. Plan the budget.
    • Know your audience. Our business begins and ends with the customers.  
    • Audit the competitors. Developing the competitive analysis is a process that interconnects with content marketing planning. When we understand our competitors, we can identify what differentiates us from them. And when we overlay this information onto the buyer personas, that's when the marketing magic begins to happen.
    • Create and maintain a content marketing calendar that schedules all aspects of the creation and delivery of content throughout the year aligned to ROB, Rhythm of Business
    • Content Management. Develop standards, systems, and best practices (both staff and technology) for content creation, distribution, maintenance, content retrieval, and content repurposing.
    • Work with the wider marketing team to identify messages or stories that need writing, updating, or revisions
    • Define metrics and analyze data to determine content effectiveness.

    Content Creation:

    • Create a well-researched and designed to solve audiences' problems content. Align with the brand ToV and ensure the content leads on a journey toward the sale.
    • Supporting the design division in creating marketing materials.
    • Create text, video, and audio content
    • Use technical equipment, software, or online platforms to create and share content
    • Create content for different formats: emails, landing pages, long-form articles, short-form blog posts, white papers, case studies, newsletters, infographics, presentations, campaigns, explainer videos, interviews, testimonials, calculators, opinion pieces
    • Oversee a third-party content production team's creation and management of targeted content for the company's website.

    Content Editing:

    • Create, and keep up to date the marketing communications guidelines
    • Edit the content created by others. Check the grammar, punctuation, flow, and style, ensure alignment to the brand ToV, tone of voice
    • For online content, make sure the headings are SEO-friendly, the copy is optimized, and the paragraphs aren't densely packed. Know your way around metadata.
    • Stay abreast of current best practices in the industry and review competitor websites to compare their activities with those of your company

    Job Requirements (Education, Experience and Competencies)
    Education:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, English, or a related field.
    • Masters is preferred
    • Fluent in English.

    Experience and Skills:

    • Minimum of 5 years of agency experience in a similar role
    • Advanced written communication skills and an ability to Copywrite and edit in British and American English
    • Proven ability to produce high-quality, engaging content. Showcase a portfolio of relevant previous outputs
    • Experience creating and maintaining a resource or library of content
    • Experience with managing the marketing budget
    • Fluency in web analytics tools, SEO, social media marketing applications, and leading social media monitoring platforms
    • Familiarity with SEO best practices to write creative copy that includes effective keyword placement
    • Project management skills to manage editorial schedules and deadlines within corporate and ongoing programs and campaigns.
    • Excellent command of British and American English. French is a plus but not mandatory
    • Exhibited superior writing, spellcheck, and editing skills.
    • Superior research, managerial, and time management abilities.
    • Ability to conceive fresh and appealing ideas for new content that establishes or supports the company's brand identity
    • Extremely computer literate, especially with how to write, interpret and edit HTML scripts
    • Experience with social media engagement strategies and best practices
    • Strong skills in creating original content that targets a specific audience and meets company objective.

    Manager - Graphic Design and MarCom Management, MTN GlobalConnect

    Key Performance Areas
    Core, essential responsibilities/outputs of the position (KPA's):

    • The role is responsible for the creation and management of the design standards, best practices, and a unified brand look and feel across all company communications

    Collateral Repository:

    • Create, maintain, and manage a depository of corporate Marcom graphic files, including presentation templates, logos, photos and artworks. Ensure the whole organization uses a consistent set of corporate communications templates and materials aligned to the brand. Maintain collateral archives.

    Marketing Collateral Creation:

    • Create branded and custom marketing materials including but not limited to brochures, flyers, newsletters, emails and social & online media graphics, logos, branding, tradeshow and sales events collaterals, product brochures, sales sheets, advertisements, publications, landing pages, web graphics as well as marketing materials.
    • Conceptualize, design, produce and edit visually compelling corporate strategy, investor, and sales slide presentations
    • Translate written work into a creative presentation format
    • Edit and polish presentations created by others
    • Design/illustrate visually compelling infographics and icons
    • Design print and digital communications using Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft apps
    • Test graphics across various media
    • Design multipage documents for print and screen.

    Corporate Website:

    • Design and manage the company website, coordinating all 3rd party vendors.

    Merchandizing:

    • Creating digital or physical mock-ups of new merchandising. Work with  the 3rd party vendors to produce merchandise for the corporate and sales events
    • Manage the marketing budget for Marcom projects: the production and the stock of collaterals, including brochures ads, posters, banners, newsletters, flyers, invitations, branded merchandise.

    Office Corporate Branding design:

    • Own interior design project management for the current and newly added company offices.

    Job Requirements (Education, Experience and Competencies)
    Education:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design or a related field is a must unless proven by an exceptional work portfolio
    • Webdesign, photography, and video editing
    • Fluent in English.

    Experience:

    • At least 5 years of graphic design, web design, presentation creation, photography, and video editing experience
    • Working in Telecom or IT industry is preferable
    • Worked across diverse cultures and geographies.
    • Worked in an African market or industry serving Africa.

    Skills:

    The Role will be accountable to achieve the following objectives:

    • Developing the MTN GC planning function to meet the changing needs of the business and users, new projects, and technologies
    • Collaborating with business teams to continuously evolve MTN GC systems, focusing on supporting increased sales, customer experience, and profitability.
    • Facilitating Network governance process in coordination with MTN GCTIO stakeholders and Senior Management, participating in planning for future strategic innovation and business needs.
    • Defining Roaming, Messaging and Signaling platforms planning tools, processes, standards, and roadmaps.
    • Reviewing the designs and functional requirements of the Roaming, Messaging and Signaling platforms within scope to ensure that all requirements are satisfied.
    • Working with business and technology leaders as appropriate to ensure proper alignment of business systems solutions with business goals and processes. 
    • Establishing standards, methodologies, and documentation for the Roaming, Messaging and Signaling platforms and network. 
    • Deliver a target Product and Services architecture with a 3-year time horizon taking global technology developments into consideration.
    • Maintain budgetary spending within the company-approved business plan
    • Ensure timeous rollout of Roaming, Messaging and Signaling platforms, infrastructure, and services.

    Job Requirements (Education, Experience and Competencies)
    Education:

    • Minimum of 4-year Academic Degree (B.Eng. / BSc Degree preferred)

    • Relevant certification/accreditation/membership with professional body as required for role
    • Fluent in English.

    Experience:

    • 5+ Years of progressive experience managing the implementation, integration, and operations of carrier-level applications and platforms in a variety of technology footprints and geographies and markets.
    • Functional experience in Core platforms including messaging, mobility, roaming, Signaling, and related value-added services (VAS) and security.
    • Knowledge of IP, CCNA is an added advantage.
    • Solid understanding of virtualisation and cloud-based solutions and technologies in relation to Roaming, Messaging and Signaling platforms
    • Hands-on experience with Roaming, Messaging and Signaling hubs/platforms as well as value-added platforms.
    • Hands-on experience with SMS Routing, Hub, and Firewall technology
    • Understanding open connectivity roaming hubs and/or experience working with Data Clearing Houses is a valuable asset.
    • Strong Knowledge of GSM/LTE/5G network architecture and Signaling architecture (STP’s/DRA/DEA).
    • Strong Knowledge of End to End architecture and connectivity at solution level including core network, Signaling, roaming and VAS.
    • Expert Knowledge of Signaling protocols and standards relating to CAMEL/GRX/GTP/DIAMETER, SIP, RTP, MEGACO, SCCP, GSM MAP and SS7/SIGTRAN/ISUP.
    • Understanding of the standard call flows for messaging, roaming Vas and Signaling involving multiple services.
    • Basic understanding of IPX and its positioning with the career network infrastructure.
    • Understanding of IoT platforms, providers and mobile roaming and roaming VAS.
    • Expert in SMS/SMPP data solutions (A2P, P2A, P2P, RCS, etc).
    • Understanding of billing systems, CDR’s, TAP flows, TAP files.
    • Knowledge of UNIX-Solaris, AIX, HPUX, Windows, Linux and cloud technology including containerisation (CNF’s).
    • Extensive knowledge of virtualized environments (VNF’s), API’s.
    • Understanding of other core platform and network areas including voice core, unified communications and collaboration, and related value-added services (VAS) and security. Familiarity with SIP and IP Telephony protocols
