    Manager - Roaming Test

    Mission/ Core purpose of the Job

    The Roaming Operations Manager will form part of a highly skilled technical team who are responsible of planning, design, implementation, operations and maintenance of Bayobab’s roaming hub infrastructure composed of central GSM and Open Connectivity compliant platform, to facilitate International Roaming between Mobile Network Operators and elected Roaming Partners to run GSM roaming, wholesale roaming, roaming added-value services, IoT, and M2M roaming services.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    Key Performance Areas: Core, essential responsibilities / outputs of the position (KPA's)

    The Roaming Operations Manager will be accountable to achieve the following core KPA’s:

     

    • Develop & maintain the Roaming Hub Strategy with a 3–5 years technology roadmap
    • Business & Stakeholder request fulfilment with automated flows for fast provisioning and quick trigger of revenue.
    • Proactivity in picking up issues, recommending improvements and performing necessary optimisations to improve on customer experience and avoid churns.
    • Provide higher technical support to Global NOC and OPCO operations teams for roaming related issues.
    • Oversee and facilitate Incident, change, maintenance, problem management within the roaming hub.
    • Regular weekly, monthly, and addoc reporting on all assigned areas
    • Vendors: Ensure management and accountability of outsourced processes and engagement with vendors
    • SLA & OLA management and ensure alignment with contractual obligations.

    Responsibilities:

    The Roaming Operations Manager’s responsibilities in this position are to:

    • iCAMPAIGN management (VPMN & campaign management)
    • GTP management (IMSI mapping, CoS Management, Gateway configurations, session management, global system parameter tuning)
    • VPMN management (Feature activations, VLR addition/modification, GT mapping, hostname management.)
    • Steering Management (CoS management, Location detail configuration/updates, VPMN steering configuration, release code modifications & prioritisation, node management, subscriber/device management)
    • Border Gateway (Location detail configuration/updates, VLR addition/deletion/modification.)
    • Platform management (disk space management, database management, software management)
    • Security Management (vulnerability management)
    • People and performance management.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Education:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, IT, and/or Telecommunications
    • Formal leadership certification training (preferred)
    • English: verbal and written proficiency
    • French: Advantage

    Experience:

    • 8 years’ experience in managing endtoend roaming testing
    • Minimum of 5 years’ experience leading roaming testing teams 
    • Experience with Quality of Services (QoS) and commercial launch processes
    • Experience with SS7 and GPRS tracing, as well as GRX & IPX providers
    • Experience with the technical troubleshooting of International Roaming; in a hub advantageous
    • Experience with IR.21 creation, updates, distribution, and management in GSMA’s RAEX 
    • 5 + years’ experience in the leadership and development of teams

    Supervisor - Warehouse

    Description

    • Responsible for conduct of physical count and cycle count of inventory as per defined frequency
    • Identify and highlight any process enhancement that will improve the Turnaround time of the business
    • Assist with any queries raised by internal/ external auditors
    • Ensure that warehouse housekeeping is well maintained at all times and stock put-away to correct locations as defined on system
    • Ensure that all inbound stock are adequately insured against theft/losses
    • Liaise with Buyer to ensure that suppliers have updated contracts and if there are any changes proposed from an MTN perspective to be considered for negotiations
    • Drive the stock counts (either cycle or physical) in terms of statutory requirement
    • Perform reconciliation of inventory in case of discrepancy in the count
    • Keeps equipment operating by enforcing operating instructions
    • Maintains storage area by organizing floor space; adhering to storage design principles; recommending improvements
    • Observe health and safety regulations; maintain warehouse in a clean, safe and orderly condition
    • Supervise the activities within warehouse and ensure adherence to the warehousing guidelines
    • Oversee activities related to lots, batches, serials and consigned inventory
    • Handle issues escalated by Administrator, Warehouse
    • Responsible to ensure timelines are met in case of any request for transfer, dispatch, etc. of the stocks from warehouse
    • Responsible to ensure warehouse is clearly demarcated with receiving area, dispatch area, staging area, etc.
    • Identify and resolve any issue with respect to damage, wear, etc. while moving the components to stock 
    • Plan kitting schedule by taking into consideration stock availability, resources and production plan for the period
    • Generate pick list based on the requirement as per BOM and identify  inventory items needed to complete kits
    • Generate shortage list for kits and stand-alone material items and ensure delivery of materials to be expedited after considering stock on hand and shortage
    • Reconcile inventory and analyze errors. Document the reason for shortage of inventory and analyze the shortage errors
    • Record part number and other inventory identification for the inventory which is missing/deficient
    • Monitor the performance of warehouse personnel 

    Education:

    • First degree in Engineering or Supply Chain Management or Finance or any related discipline
    • Fluent in English

    Experience:

    3 – 7 years’ experience which includes:

    • Experience working in a medium to large organization
    • Knowledge of customer database management principles
    • Knowledge of customer order fulfillment, customer delivery, determining availability, etc.

    Representative - Sales and Trade Development Ilesha

    Mission:

    To manage and develop trade infrastructure and the channels of distribution especially retailers to ensure MTN dominance at retail in the assigned territory.

    Description:

    • Confirm  that  sub dealers and dealer branches are contacted and stock receipt/movement verified. 
    • Provide informal training in shops on products, services and promotions being run by marketing, channel or region and on-the-spot training/coaching of all visited outlets in territory (100% of all visited outlets in call cycle)
    • Manage events and promos, generate sub-dealer promo specifications and perform post-promo evaluation
    • Provide weekly/monthly sales activity report and market intelligence report to field service engineers
    • Monitor and report back on network quality and other sales impacting indices in territory covered
    • Ensure call cycle time of 8 - 10 visits a day per territory or as business requires
    • Identify, classify and support all players in channels of distribution and ensure  weekly/monthly database update
    • Ensure MTN product availability in channel is >95% at all times and provide weekly product availability report of all visited outlets during call cycles
    • Direct all channel participants to MTN identified growth area within your territory
    • Establish consistent channel standards including branding as per channel recommendation.
    • Increase brand awareness – Signage, POS distribution and target 65% visibility in the channel of distribution (Trade marketing team will measure)
    • Support all identified outlets with 100% merchandizing as appropriate and defined.
    • Build relationship between lower and upper levels (i.e. authorized distributors and sub dealers), support trade partners and Sub dealers and link subs, retailers etc. to Trade Partners and help nurture the relationship

    Officer - Payroll

    Description

    • Coordinate the processing, remittance, reconciliation and reporting of all payroll related statutory liabilities (PAYE, NHF), ensuring MTNN’s compliance with all payroll related tax laws and regulations.
    • Monitor prompt submission of payroll related inputs and review same for accuracy in terms of claims, allowances, tax relief and deductions.
    • Administer statutory audit (concerning PAYE, ITF and NHF) process and respond promptly to payroll related queries raised by tax authorities and other regulatory bodies, preparing PAYE audit support data for external auditor’s use.
    • Run the payroll software ensuring accuracy and completeness of data.
    • Coordinate the preparation of year-end tax forms (Form A) for both national and expatriate staff and file tax returns in compliance with the guidelines of the statutory authorities.
    • Prepare monthly reports related to the payroll statutory deduction within MTNN.
    • Execute salary administration activities including preparation of annual budget of Salary Unit, reviewing salaries journal vouchers, monitoring amortizations and accrual of salaries and reconciliations.  
    • Keep accurate and up to date records of all payroll related payments made to statutory authorities
    • Register new MTNN staff with the State and Federal Board of Inland Revenue (SBIR, FBIR) and other internal revenue regulatory agencies to avert penalty that may arise.

    Senior Manager - Platform Management

    Mission:

    Execute Digital Services’ platform strategy by identifying, developing, and managing platforms that have compelling and competitive propositions to help MTNN acquire customers and grow revenues in alignment with the overall business strategy and market requirements.

    Description:

    • Implement and monitor Digital Services’ platform (including but not limited to (ayoba, MyMTN App, e-Marketplace, MTN Play) strategy.

    Experience:

    9 - 17 years’ experience which includes:

    • A minimum of eight (8) years working in a small- or medium-sized digital organisation
    • A minimum of five (5) years’ experience in customer acquisition, customer service, digital marketing, funnel optimization, lead generation, performance evaluation, product analytics, product and value proposition development, product life cycle management, and revenue generation on digital platforms
    • Experience in A/B testing, channel optimization, Information Technology, messaging OTT, platform and product development, SEO, telecommunications, and UI/UX will be an added advantage.
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and writing skills; Advanced ability to build strong working relationships at various levels within an established organization, influence stakeholders, and work as part of a cross-functional team.

    Mission:

    Engineer - IP Security Planning

    Mission:

    • Plan and design comprehensive end-to-end network security solutions.
    • Provide ongoing support for the day-to-day security operations, planning, and maintenance of MTN Nigeria's enterprise and mobile data networks, utilizing the latest network security technologies.

    Engineer - IP Security Forensics and Incident Management

    Mission:

    Description:

    • Manage and maintain all network security platforms and their associated software, such as firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention, load balancers, anti-dos, anti-spam, syslog, remote access, and other security appliances.
    • Ensure active management of IPS/IDS, web filtering, application controls, DDOS, firewalls, WAFs, VPNs, load balancers, and every other technology is in line with security practices.
    • Development of scripts for automation of tasks and deployments using Python, Shell, Ansible, or any other network programmability solution
    • Demonstrate subject matter expertise in the areas of IPS, load balancers, WAF, anti-DOS, anti-SPAM, remote access, NAT, security information, event management, and next-generation firewalls with product-specific knowledge of Cisco, Juniper, Checkpoint, and Fortinet firewalls.
    • Provides technical support for new integration, incidents, and fault resolution.
    • Experience with Networking and Troubleshooting (TCP/IP, DNS, routing, switching, firewalls, LAN/WAN, NAT, Access-List, IPSec/SSL VPN, Remote Access, IPS, and ADC)
    • Proactive monitoring and daily health checks on network security infrastructure ensure and adhere to security best practices.
    • Coordinate and monitor log analysis on all network security nodes to ensure service availability and security requirements are met.
