    Project Engineer

    Reports to: Managing Director

     Main Function    

    The main function of the Project Engineer is the management and execution of assigned projects from design, construction, commissioning to handover, while ensuring delivery in accordance with project scope, specifications, schedule, and budget.    

    Role Responsibilities     

    • Cordinate and monitor the assigned engineering projects
    • Monitor compliance to applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards and specifications
    • Collaborate with QA/QC to implement quality standards to all site related works like reinforcement, formwork erection, and concreting.
    • To collaborate with HSE to ensure HSE guidelines are properly and correctly implemented in sites 
    • Collaborate with Surveyor to establish a proper level for excavation, improvement, blinding, and reinforced concrete levels. 
    • To create a work breakdown structure for daily work schedule, based on management agreed methodology for each site work. 
    • Mobilize the site daily on time and give the toolbox talk. 
    • Organize field work and assign technicians and staff specialists to tasks to ensure all necessary material and machinery is available for the day’s work. 
    • Provide a timely work schedule for the specific project plan.
    • Understand and implement project specifications effectively. Follow consultants’ drawings and integrate them into the project.
    • Execute the whole project in a cost-effective and timely manner. 
    • Interact daily with the clients to interpret their needs and requirements and represent them on the field
    • Perform overall quality control of the work (budget, schedule, plans, personnel’s performance) and report regularly on project status
    • Develop construction specifications and procedures
    • Evaluate and recommend appropriate building and construction materials
    • Communicate with all projects related personnel (internal or external) on day-to-day progress of activities, procurement, and operations to ensure timely completion of the project.
    • Cooperate and communicate effectively with project manager and other project participants to provide assistance and technical support
    • Review engineering deliverables and initiate appropriate corrective actions
    • Maintain project schedule by monitoring project progress, coordinating activities, and resolving problems 
    • Determine project schedule by studying project plan and specifications, calculating time requirements, and sequencing project elements. 
    • Plan all manpower, material, and machinery deployment as required by the project site.
    • Prepare the Daily Progress Report and provide the same to the project manager at close of work. 
    • Collaborate with HSE Officer to ensure Health, Environmental and Safety aspects are considered in all stages of project implementation. 

    QMS, EMS & OH&S Management System Responsibilities 

    • Operate in conformance with the requirements of the QMS, EMS and OHS. 
    • Stop work in progress to make appropriate notifications when unsafe conditions exist or requirements are not being met. 
    • Proactive in ensuring the accomplishment of organizational goals along with self-development.
    • Willing to take up additional roles and responsibilities as and when required. 
    • Understand and apply QMS, EMS and OHS policies on assigned projects
    • Identify all possible hazards from assigned tasks and risks associated with the assigned tasks and ensure relevant controls implemented. 
    • Ensure that personnel comply with applicable laws, regulations, specifications, standards and documented procedures.

    • Excellent knowledge of design and visualisations software such as AutoCAD/CAM

    • B.Sc Civil Engineering or it’s equivalent 
    • Minimum 5 years experience in a Construction firm.

    Legal Associate

    Reports to: Managing Partner of the Law Firm

    Main Function:

    The main purpose of this role is to conduct legal research, independently draft watertight processes such as motions, final written addresses, notices of appeal, briefs of argument and take record of proceedings.

    Role Responsibilities:

    • Prepare processes at both trial courts and appellate courts.
    • Proffer legal opinions and draft agreements with no supervision 
    • Work directly with clients to schedule meetings, depositions, discovery responses, and trial preparations.
    • Review court judgements and draft petitions accordingly
    • Prepare and review legal documents ahead of court hearings
    • File exhibits, briefs, appeals, and other legal documents with the court or opposing counsel
    • Thorough knowledge and practical experience of election cases
    • Work as a team with other Senior Associates
    • Prepare a comprehensive brief on each case
    • Schedule and administer full depositions of witnesses and experts
    • Review discovery of documents and determine the best course of action in each case
    • Familiar with enforcement procedures and can take steps to enforce judgments
    • Perform other duties as delegated by the Managing Partner of the Law Firm

    Competencies/Skills: 

    • Experience in writing addresses and briefs of argument
    • Experience with Pre-election and Election cases
    • Trial preparation skills
    • Legal Research skills
    • Interpersonal skills to maintain effective working relationships, with colleagues and clients
    • Excellent drafting skills

    Project Site Surveyor

    Main Function:

    The main job of Project site surveyor includes directing the layout of the project’s construction work, compiling field survey data and contributing to planning and scheduling meetings with contractor representatives, project managers and on-site engineers. You are also responsible for determination of position, establishment and monitoring of elevation of building structural elements including external works. 

    Role Responsibilities: 

    • Establish Site referenced survey control system (or otherwise as it may apply to the project) and benchmarks
    • Preliminary Site Mapping
    • Setting out of Building outline and staking of Grid Lines for consultant confirmation
    • Conduct surveys on construction sites and properties
    • Examine previous records and evidence to ensure data accuracy
    • Use equipment and tools to accurately measure land features (e.g. longitudes, latitudes)
    • Build maps, sketches, and charts
    • Report on survey results and present findings to clients
    • Collaborate with engineers and architects on several projects
    • Interpret project drawings
    • Monitor horizontal and vertical structural elements of buildings
    • Evaluate staff performance, enforcing safety regulations and procedures and directly training crewmembers.

    Competencies/Skills: 

    • Survey procedure applications and methods
    • Good Communication & Interpersonal Skills
    • Lateral and Logical Thinking
    • Exceptional use of survey equipment such as Total Station, levelling instrument, GPS etc
