    Operations Manager (Logistics)

    Responsibilities

    • Manage all documentation related work with respect to exports and imports
    • Have regular contacts with all Shipping Line Commercial Heads, Account Managers and ensure the best freight and routing
    • Proactively make recommendations which can improve processes and systems to help the business commercially.
    • Build a Database of existing clients with all contact/vessel information – likewise for potential customers operating in the our serviced geographies
    • Maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders, internal and external
    • Ensure to be on top of sales planning for the month to plan for containers and all related filings to ensure no dispatches are missed for the month.

    Qualifications & Experience

    • Degree in Business, Commercial or Finance
    • 15+ years experience in similar field with atleast 5 years leading the commercial team
    • Proven management experience from the terminal or shipping industry
    • Experience handling end to end operations cutting across warehousing, logistics, sales and business performance management is preferred.

    Trade Finance / Export-Import Manager

    Job Responsibilities

    • Handle port operations for clearing of goods.
    • Have relations with Freight Forwarders, Shipping Lines, Customs, and other relevant agencies.
    • Opening of LC (Letter of Credits) for imports.
    • Handle all documentation for Banks.
    • Handle all documentation for Imports and Exports related to banking and operations.
    • Handle Trade Finance desk, responsible for TRMS portal trade forms, NXP, Form M and others.
    • Draft LC ( Letter of Credit ), follow with the banks for LC issuance.
    • Presentation of documents to banks on shipments.
    • Coordinate with Country Finance Manager for negotiating banking terms and conditions on LC.
    • Sourcing of Forex from CBN/I&E Window.
    • Maintain relations with RMs for Import.
    • Coordinate with all sister companies in Nigeria on matters of export and import.
    • Advise necessary changes to streamline export and import.
    • Liaison with regulatory agencies for certification on NAFDAC, and SONCAP.

    Skills / Requirements

    • Import Business experience of 5 to 10 years
    • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s is preferred.
    • Well-developed communication skills and a customer orientation
    • Knowledge about budget management, international trade and taxations.
