    Job Summary: 

    Our client who is a renowned international K-12 school located in and is known for academic excellence and moral discipline, is looking to hire a School Principal in Uyo, Akwa Ibom.

    We are looking for a smart professional who is available to resume immediately.

    Requirements

    • The preferred candidate must have a minimum of a M.Ed.
    • Must have a minimum of 12 years of teaching experience with at least 4 years as a Principal or Vice Principal from a reputable   Cambridge Accredited School or International School.
    • Must possess strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
    • Must have good understanding of British and Nigerian curriculum
    • Excellent communication skills.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft word, excel, and PowerPoint.

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

    • To oversee all academic and extracurricular activities of the school.
    • To develop and implement strategies to maintain excellent standards and academic performance.
    • To examine and identify areas of improvements in all facets of the school system.
    • Supervise the activities of academic and nonacademic members of staff.
    • Coordinate the administrative staff to provide adequate support for the efficient management of resources.
    • As a member of the Senior Management Board in the contribution towards and oversight of the strategic direction and leadership   of the college.
    • Lead and motivate the School Admin Team through promoting a culture of service excellence and growth, and to ensure the     effective management of administrative and operations matters.
    • Participate in and support the implementation of the school’s Performance Management & Assessment system.
    • Demonstrate the skills of effective communication and relationship management with students, colleagues and others.

    English Phonics Teacher

    Location: Uyo, Akwa Ibom

    Job Summary:

    Our client who is a renowned international K-12 school located in and is known for academic excellence and moral discipline, is looking to hire a English Phonics Teacher in Uyo, Akwa Ibom.

    We are looking for a smart professional who is available to resume immediately.

    Job Functions/Responsibilities

    • Responsible for developing in each student an interest in and the ability to understand and utilize their knowledge of in English   Language.
    • To oversee the provision of relevant and up-to-date advice and support for pupils as it relates to the subject
    • To co-ordinate the selection and development of appropriate syllabus and courses in line with related resources.
    • To maintain full and accurate records of students’ achievements as it relates to the subject.
    • Deliver engaging, coherent and motivating lessons to students across in varying classes.
    • Utilize learning technology in the planning and delivery of lessons.
    • To keep up to date with curriculum changes and reforms.
    • Develop lesson plans in line with the curriculum objectives.
    • To plan for, provide and maintain the physical resources necessary for learning and the delivery of chosen   syllabuses and courses   (including for example; books, past papers, file shares, furniture, equipment etc). Where   necessary, liaise with other departments to achieve this feat.
    • To undertake, where appropriate, other roles, which may arise either in the department or in the wider school environment.
    • Any other duties relating to the job as required from time to time by the Head of School /Principal.

    Requirements/Qualifications

    • The preferred candidate must have a minimum of a (B. Ed) or (B.Sc.)
    • Must have a minimum of 5 - 8 years of phonics teaching experience.
    • Familiar with WAEC and Cambridge IGSE protocol
    • Must possess strong practical knowledge and skills in delivering lessons to students.
    • Must possess strong interpersonal skills.
    • Be enthusiastic and passionate about teaching and be able to demonstrate genuine care for young children.
    • Excellent communication skills.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft word, excel, and PowerPoint

    Salary: Negotiable.
