    Spray Painter / Hand Painter

    Description

    • Meeting with clients and work managers to discuss design and colour choices.
    • Removing rust and other loose materials using acid or a wire brush on a vessel.
    • Filling, sanding, and smoothing surfaces that need to be sprayed.
    • Applying masking tape and coverings over areas that are not being sprayed.
    • Selecting and mixing the required coating liquids.
    • Selecting and attaching the correct spray nozzle to create the desired spray pattern.
    • Spraying machines, products, and wall areas using industry techniques.
    • Spraying designs using stencils, if required.
    • Cleaning spray cans, nozzles, and other spraying equipment after each spray job.
    • Inspecting and assessing spray coatings after the paint has dried.

    Requirements

    • Diploma / WAEC
    • 5 years experience working as a spray painter on a vessel.
    • Excellent hand-eye coordination.
    • In-depth knowledge of paint mixing and spraying techniques.
    • Ability to see subtle colour differences.
    • Experience with breathing masks and protective clothing.
    • Ability to work with acid and harsh chemicals.
    • Ability to stand for long periods.

    Blaster

    Job Description

    • Painter / Blasters play a crucial role in surface preparation and painting of ships under construction. They are responsible for utilizing various methods, including mechanical tools and blasting techniques, to prepare surfaces and apply marine coatings according to contract specifications.

    Responsibilities

    • Apply coatings using conventional spray systems, airless spray systems, and plural spray systems
    • Safely operate equipment such as blast pots, spray guns, and sandblasting tools
    • Maintain consistent thickness in spray applications and apply paint with brush and roll
    • Apply epoxy, polyurethane, and high solids coatings
    • Demonstrate knowledge of wet and dry blast methods and processes
    • Mix paints according to manufacturer instructions
    • Operate and maintain spray equipment, troubleshoot equipment issues
    • Apply masking materials to protect designated areas from paint and overspray
    • Understand and interpret material safety data sheets, drawings, and blueprints
    • Ensure compliance with environmental requirements and industry standards for paint application and disposal
    • Perform other related duties as required

    Education & Qualifications

    • High School Diploma or equivalent vocational education
    • Minimum 5 years of coatings related experience in shipbuilding and/or industrial industries
    • Knowledge/experience with industrial high-performance coatings is advantageous
    • Familiarity with modern shipbuilding processes and terminology is beneficial
    • Ability to read engineering/masking drawings and specifications is advantageous
    • Knowledge of deep water vessel coating standards preferred
    • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, in English
    • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment with a positive attitude

    Compressor Operator

    Summary of Duties

    • A Compressor Operator operates piston or rotary type air-compressing equipment. An employee in this class maintains, adjusts, and makes minor repairs to compressors, pneumatic tools, and auxiliary equipment, and does related work. Compressor Operator operates air compressors, water pumps, and pneumatic tools.
    • He/She does not perform extensive repairs on the equipment. However, a Compressor Operator is responsible for daily preventive maintenance, operating adjustments, and minor emergency field repairs.
    • He/She usually receives specific assignments from a supervisor.
    • However, he/she may work independently in advance of the main crew.
    • He/She may oversee workers who are operating pneumatic tools to make sure the workers are taking safety precautions.
    • He/she may drive a compressor truck and may operate pneumatic tools, and work on large vessels.

    Responsibilities

    • Operates gasoline, diesel, or electric powered air compressors that power pneumatic tools such as:
      • Pavement breakers, jackhammers, and chipping guns;
      • Tampers and stompers;
      • Winches and hoists;
      • Hammers, saws, and boring tools;
      • Sandblasters;
      • Water pumps;
    • Makes sure air compressor and pneumatic tools are operating safely by: Checking fuel, water supply, and oil level in the engine and compressor;
    • Monitoring oil pressure, water temperature, and control valves on the compressor;
    • Checking rock drill oil level in the pneumatic tools, and air-line lubricators and coolers.
    • Cleans air filters and may change oil filters;
    • Oils, greases, and makes minor repairs to pneumatic tools such as;
    • Replacing worn or broken springs and safety chains;
    • Freeing frozen triggers;
    • Installing couplings and fittings on air hoses Changing bits, gads, steels and other cutting tools;
    • May oversee other workers who are operating pneumatic tools;
    • May operate pneumatic tools, pumps, and auxiliary equipment;
    • May use pipe locators;
    • May direct a small crew in blowing pulling wires into underground conduits;
    • May drive a compressor truck or truck-mounted pneumatic paving demolisher;
    • May perform unskilled work as needed on the job;
    • May occasionally be assigned to other duties for training purposes or to meet technological changes or emergencies.

    Qualifications / Knowledge
    A good knowledge of:

    • Interested candidates should possess an OND / SSCE qualification.
    • Operation and maintenance of various types of air compressors;
    • Operation, adjustment, and maintenance of pneumatic tools and auxiliary equipment.

    Paint Rope Access Technician (Level 1, 2, 3)

    Job Purpose

    • To ensure that all Rope Access activities are carried out safely and efficiently in accordance with company and statuary regulations.

    Functions

    • Supervise and direct rope access personnel to ensure operational efficiency with the implementation of the appropriate standards of safety, and quality control in Rope Access activities, according to Oceaneering procedures
    • Ensure that work area is safe to carry out NDT and Rope Access activities
    • Seek to continually improve existing safe systems and methods of work
    • Maintain contact with existing and potential customers and establish close relationships with them in order to promote the company's interests
    • Maintain the rope access equipment ensuring that the certification is kept up to date
    •  On return to Stores, or at end of trip if equipment is to stay on board, all equipment must be cleaned and manifested
    • When working an ongoing contract, the equipment will be left in a clean and tidy condition for the oncoming Level 3, and verified against the site equipment log
    • All relevant paperwork in the Rope Access work pack will be read, filled out, signed, and sent back to operations on completion of the project
    • Carry out risk assessments / Take II as required
    • Apply the most effective NDT techniques to components requiring inspection
    • Ensure inspection is carried out within the parameters of the applicable specification
    • Ensure NDT equipment function tests are performed according to the procedure and any faulty equipment is detailed / reported
    • Evaluate results of the tests in accordance with the applicable specification
    • Produce clear and concise reports detailing the methods used in and results of the inspection and all findings noting any applicable limitations / test restrictions
    • Carry out work in a timely and efficient manner in order to meet deadlines, changing priorities when the situation requires.To work in hard-to-reach areas without the benefit of a scaffold or a work platform
    • With a Comprehensive knowledge in Health & Safety and must be very comfortable working at altitudes that most other people would find problematic.
    • To perform inspections, Painting and Repairs on oil platforms, Building Structures Etc with reference to client's requirement.

    • OND / HND / B.Sc in Engineering of any field with HSE Certification.

    Project Engineer

    Duties and Responsibilities
    You will be required to perform the following:

    • Lead the Execution of capital projects according to the scope, schedule and budget.
    • Manage the team under the unit in executing the projects and provide guidance and directives to ensure successful completion of the project.
    • Leverage expertise in Project Engineering for projects and provide the appropriate actions for the team to follow in all phases of the project.
    • Provide the technical and project management oversight to the design, construction, pre-commissioning, commissioning, startup of facilities, and close out of projects.
    • Ensure timely resolution of project issues arising in all phases of the project development.
    • Ensure safety measures are implemented in the projects’ execution.
    • Implement company initiatives in projects and business processes under the division.
    • Be fully familiar with company Key Performance Indices (KPIs) and achieve them for projects under the division.
    • Prepare/Review monthly project performance reports showing the status of design, material procurement, construction, milestones, commitments, payments, charges, variances from standards, waivers and problems and present them to higher management.
    • Anticipate and plan for changes in project scope, timing or costs. Prepare documentation and obtain management approval.
    • Assign appropriate manpower to all parts and phases of the project.
    • Ensure appropriate training and development paths are assigned to each division employee.
    • Oversee and review incoming and outgoing correspondence concerning projects assigned.
    • Ensure that proper job records are maintained on all assigned projects.
    • Negotiate agreements and change orders with design and execution contractors.
    • Guide and direct team members in the application of Aramco standards. Assure that variances from standards are minimized.
    • Responsible for project development: engineering studies, licensors selection, technical bid reviews, preliminary engineering, detail design, materials procurement, construction, pre-commissioning, handover, commissioning, startup, and close out.
    • Review weekly and monthly reports on the status and progress of the contracts, including project costs and schedule. Attend project meetings e.g. progress, stakeholders, design review, value improvement, etc.
    • Review of project schedule, coordinate and monitor the assigned project progress and challenge below par performance of the contractor.
    • Uphold engineering ethics and maintain high standards of professional behavior and conduct.

    Minimum Requirements

    • As the successful candidate, you will hold a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from a recognized institution. An Advanced Degree is preferred.
    • You will also obtain a PMP , PgMP or equivalent certification
    • You will have Fifteen years’ experience in similar field related to refining and petrochemical industries . Including Seven (7) years of experience in project management in design, construction, pre-commissioning, commissioning, startup, and operation.
    • You must have Engineering Design & Construction phase experience with a thorough knowledge of engineering practices and economic principles in the applicable International Codes, Standards and Specifications.
    • You will have a mastery understanding of international procedures of Projects Phases, Engineering Phases, Bidding procedures, Procurement Processes, Construction Requirements and up to date Best Practices. In addition, be familiar with Saudi Aramco procedures and standards.
    • You will have a mastery understanding of contract documents (inclusive of appendices, drawings and specifications), project execution plan, interface management, change management, construction sequencing, standards specifications and project schedule to support Department Manager in timely completion of projects.
    • You will have a mastery understanding of scheduling principles and recovery methods.
    • You must have a mastery understanding of cashflow distribution in projects, resource planning and distribution and understanding of crisis management and ability to calmly manage project issues.
    • You will have a dynamic attitude towards project improvements and savings
    • You must be flexible to work in multinational teams and mobilize to different locations including remote areas as needed.
