Position Summary
Under the Community Reconciliation and Resilience Building Project, Search is seeking to contract an expert/trainer to facilitate a training of actors on the humanitarian-development-peace nexus in Borno state, Nigeria. The training will take place last week of July 2019 in Maiduguri, Borno state. The candidate together with the Project Management Team will plan the agenda for the training and come up with possible options for the operationalizing the nexus in the context of North East Nigeria.
Roles and Responsibilities
As the job descriptions cannot be exhaustive, the position holder may be required to undertake other duties that are broadly in line with the above key responsibilities.
Expected Outcomes
It is expected that the training will lead to the following critical outcomes:
Deliverables and Timelines
Facilitate training pre-planning meeting with key stakeholders. Timeline is 1 day i.e. July 26, 2019
Facilitate training of H-D-P actors. Timeline is 3 days from July 30, 2019
Submit 1 trainer’s report. Timeline is 3 days from August 5, 2019

Consultancy: Early Warning Analyst
Search for Common Ground seeks a professional and highly motivated Early Warning Analyst that will be responsible for the conduct of community early earning prevention and mitigation activities in potential hotspots before, during and after off-cycle elections in Kogi and Bayelsa. S/he will ensure that the conflict scanning are executed as planned; coordinate early warning observers, confirm and analyze reports and prepare monthly reports. S/he will work closely with the State project coordinator in the implementation of early warning and Conflit prevention activities. S/he will work under the direct supervision of the Senior Program and policy Analyst. .
Consultancy: Project Coordinator
Search for Common Ground seeks a professional and highly motivated Project Coordinator who will be responsible for managing the implementation of the Electoral Empowerment of Civil Society Project (EECSP) project in the project state. S/he is responsibility for ensuring high quality delivery of outputs of the project including organization of workshop, managing state level see grant activities. S/he will work closely with the Early Warning Coordinator in the early warning and conflict prevention component of the project; work with the Media Manager in the implementation of state level media activities and Design, Monitoring and Evaluation (DME) team in monitoring and evaluation of seed grants and other project activities. S/he will oversee project reporting and evaluation by seed granted organizations and coordinate post-election dialogues. S/he will work under the direct supervision of the Senior Program and Policy Analyst.
