    Senior iOS Engineer

    Role:

    • We are looking for a passionate, career-driven Senior IOS Developer to join our team.
    • This is a great opportunity to gain significant and substantial experience.

    Responsibilities

    • Drive the direction of the mobile applications in the company to deliver robust, secure, and efficient experiences to make our customers happy. 
    • Design and develop our iOS mobile applications across all Apple devices. 
    • Produce technical designs and lead developers during development. 
    • Build up best practices around iOS development, design patterns, code reviews, and training. 
    • Work with the Quality Assurance team to troubleshoot and resolve issues. 

    Requirements

    • BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject. 
    • Experience building native apps in iOS using Swift (mandatory).  
    • Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 
    • At least 4 years of software development experience and iOS development skills. 
    • Must have published multiple original iOS apps to the App Store.
    • Experience with iOS design patterns and Firebase SDKs.
    • Experience and a strong understanding of APIs and remote data via REST and JSON. 
    • Working knowledge of the general mobile landscape, architectures, trends, and emerging technologies. 
    • Solid understanding of the full software development life cycle. 
    • Fast-paced and able to work to deadlines.
    • Experience working with Unit / UI test frameworks

    The following are optional but will enhance your chances of being selected: 

    • Knowledge of at least one backend programming language 
    • Ability to work with UX prototyping tools like Figma, Adobe XD, InvisionApp, etc 
    • Knowledge of GIT. 
    • Test-Driven Development, Continuous Integration, and/or other automated testing skills. 
    • Overall software development experience of 5+ years.
    • Agile Development experience.

    Senior, Information Security Analyst

    Role

    • The information security analyst will implement security measures to protect Carbon’s computer networks, endpoints, and systems.
    • The individual will be responsible for the security and regulatory compliance audits, assisting with invulnerability, and administering security infrastructure tools. 

    Responsibilities

    • Run a daily review of PCI DSS environment network traffic
    • Run a daily call over of audit and systems logs of the PCI DSS environment
    • Monitor security logs of critical public-facing services
    • Review Endpoint Security logs and threat alerts
    • Gather relevant Security Metrics for Information Security Report
    • Manage Security incident tickets.
    • Monitor and follow up on DLP, IPS, and Antivirus exceptions & alerts
    • Work with network engineers to analyze firewall activities.
    • Ensure compliance with local IT regulatory standards

    Requirements

    We are looking for candidates who can meet the following criteria. We want to emphasize that we don’t expect you to meet all of the below but would love you to have experience in some areas and a willingness to learn and expand your knowledge in other areas.

    • Experience in monitoring, analyzing, and resolving security alerts generated from various sources (networks, servers, endpoints, and other event logs).
    • Ability to conduct and manage vulnerability scans using external and internal tools.
    • Experience in reviewing and monitoring network security to respond in a timely fashion to security alerts, while performing initial triage and providing the necessary information to other team members when necessary to solve the alert.
    • Experience in running penetration tests on Technology Infrastructures,
    • Experience in running periodic security audits on current IT infrastructure and application software.
    • Ability to define and maintain an Information Security Incident Response Plan, including documenting security breaches.
    • Ability to manage and administer security infrastructure tools such as IDS/IPS, email gateway, web filtering, and endpoint protection consoles.
    • Experience in reviewing all system implementation designs and plans to ensure sufficient security and recovery provisions have been included, updating the corporate DRP as appropriate, and ensuring appropriate provisions are made in the BCP.
    • Experience in researching the latest information technology (IT) security trends, best practices, threats, and potential vulnerabilities.
    • Ability to develop security standards and best practices and recommend security enhancements to management or senior IT staff.
    • Minimum of 5 years in as an Information Security Analyst relation job functions.
    • Working knowledge of Windows and Linux Server, Bash, SQL, and Wireshark
    • Expert knowledge of relevant security and privacy legislation.
    • Good understanding of software development lifecycle.
    • Familiarity with Cloud Platforms like AWS or GCP
    • Experience with IT security and compliance standards both local and international like NITDA, CBN, ISO, PCI-DSS, etc

    Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

    Role

    • We are seeking a motivated, experienced, and highly-skilled Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, to join our innovative team in Lagos.
    • You will be responsible for architecting, implementing, and troubleshooting Cloud solutions as well as developing and maintaining infrastructure automation tools.
    • You will leverage DevOps principles and tools to build and maintain CI/CD for service environments. Part of your responsibility will include using architecting for failure and maintaining services based on Service Level Objectives (SLOs), a principled way of describing and measuring the desired reliability of service, and Service Level Indicators (SLIs) to quantify reliability and Error Budgets to drive business decisions around engineering for greater reliability.

    Responsibilities

    • Defining and deploying monitoring, metrics, and logging systems on AWS and GCP and Implementing systems that are highly available, scalable, and self-healing on the AWS platform.
    • Designing, managing, and maintaining tools to automate operational processes, Deploying microservices with Docker and Kubernetes at scale.
    • Building highly automated infrastructures and Development of deep insight into application and service performance.
    • Execution of security best practices for cloud deployments and Ensuring system security through industry best practices

    Requirements

    • Experience with AWS services such as EC2, ECS/EKS, S3, VPC, Route53, ALB, Lambda, DynamoDB, API Gateway, RDS, CodePipeline, etc.
    • Experience working with Windows, and Linux environments at enterprise scale and working with Node, Java, Python, and deployments at enterprise scale.
    • Experience with Chef, Puppet, or Ansible and Knowledge of cloud security and best practices.
    • Background in the network, storage, and DNS services and Understanding of Project Management tools, techniques, and methodologies including Agile.
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical degree.
    • Experience in IT Operations/Infrastructure, working as a Cloud Architect, Cloud Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or Infrastructure Engineer in an Agile software development environment with at least 3 years working as an AWS architect/engineer. With Solid experience with Cloud Formation and Terraform scripting.
    • Significant experience (at least 3 years) using DevOps CI/CD tools such as AWS Developer tools or Jenkins.
    • Great communication skills - you are passionate about sharing your vision and getting others excited.
    • Cloud certifications (preferably AWS) - Solutions Architect, Certified Developer, DevOps Engineer.
    • Knowledge of GCP, or other cloud solutions.

    • Experience with operating systems, configuration management and "Infrastructure as Code". (We use AMIs, Docker Images, Terraform)
    • Experience with monitoring applications (We use Amazon Cloudwatch, Datadog)
    • Experience with managing databases, caches and message queues. (We use Postgres, DynamoDB, MongoDB, Redis and Kafka)
    • Experience as a professional "DevOps", "SRE" or "SysAdmin" roles
    • Experience working with programming languages (We mostly use NodeJS, Java or Scala but also Python, Javascript)
    • Ability to work with unfamiliar codebases, including internal, open-source and 3rd party code we depend on.
    • Knowledge of microservices (or SOA) and/or distributed systems.
    • Experience in Test Driven Development, Continuous Integration and/or another automated testing.
    • Understanding of basic financial and accounting concepts.
    • Ability to write JavaScript in TypeScript and/or ES6.
