    Assistant General Manager, Vendor Reconciliation

    Job Summary

    • As the Assistant General Manager, Vendor Reconciliation at Dangote Group, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely reconciliation of vendor accounts, managing vendor relationships, and overseeing the vendor payment process.
    • This role requires strong financial acumen, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.

    Key Duties and Responsibilities:

    Vendor Reconciliation:

    • Conduct regular reconciliations of vendor accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
    • Investigate and resolve discrepancies or issues related to vendor invoices, payments, and statements.
    • Maintain detailed records of reconciliation activities and provide regular reports to management.

    Vendor Reconciliation:

    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key vendors.
    • Negotiate favorable payment terms and pricing agreements with vendors.
    • Monitor vendor performance and address any concerns or issues that may arise.

    Payment Processing:

    • Oversee the vendor payment process, ensuring payments are made on time and accurately.
    • Coordinate with the finance team to schedule and process vendor payments in accordance with company policies and procedures.
    • Verify the accuracy of payment requests and supporting documentation.

    Compliance and Controls:

    • Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements in all vendor-related activities.
    • Implement and maintain internal controls related to vendor reconciliation and payment processes.
    • Participate in audits and provide documentation as needed.

    Team Leadership and Development:

    • Supervise and mentor a team of vendor reconciliation specialists.
    • Provide guidance, training, and support to team members to ensure high performance and professional development.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
    • A Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., ACA, ACCA) will be an added advantage.
    • 21 years of relevant work experience.
    • Proven experience in vendor reconciliation, accounts payable, or similar roles, preferably in a large corporation or within the cement/construction industry.
    • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to identify and resolve complex reconciliation issues.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for building relationships with vendors and collaborating with internal teams.
    • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office suite (especially Excel) for data analysis and reporting.
    • Leadership experience with a track record of managing teams and driving results.

    Forklift Operator

    Job Summary:

    • We are currently seeking a friendly and dedicated Forklift Operator to join our team.
    • As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient movement of materials and goods around our warehouses and industrial sites.

    Key Duties & Responsibilities:

    • Operate forklifts to move pallets of products between storage racks and workstations.

    Senior Freight Payment Officer

    Description

    • We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Freight Payment Officer. In this role, you will coordinate and manage all aspects of freight payment for DCP.
    • The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of logistics and experience managing freight operations.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Responsible for processing haulage payments to CTES customers providing haulage services to DCP.
    • Managing truck lease repayments by CTES customers.
    • Preparation of CTES financial reports for management information.
    • Participate in the preparation of the CTES haulage rebate annual budget.

    Requirements

    Qualifications:

    • Degree in Accounting, Business Admin, or related discipline

    Production Shift Manager

    Job Summary

    • To supervise and coordinate all operational activities in Cement mills; Raw Mill/Mix Storage, Kiln/Coal Circuits, and Refractory during the shift.    

    Job Responsibilities

    • To coordinate and control process units including operation and maintenance; start-ups shutdowns and emergency management situations following standard procedures during the shift.
    • Continuously monitor the shift using available tools, ensuring employee/plant safety and stable plant operations.
    • To achieve production and quality targets by ensuring optimal performance while maintaining good housekeeping during the shift.
    • Ensure high-quality raw meal production for stable kiln operation, at all times.
    • Ensure all refractory activities are carried out safely and ensure injury and accident-free repair of the kilns during the shift.
    • Managing refractories to avoid heat loss of any kind during plant operation by applying emergency heat loss prevention called external patching at the statics areas of the kiln
    • Any other duty that may be assigned by the Head, Production.

    Requirements

    Education and Work Experience

    • First Degree in Related Engineering Courses.
    • Minimum of ten (10) years of demonstrated progressive operating experience in cement production engineering/refractory.
    • Professional qualification/membership in relevant and recognized bodies will be an added advantage.
    • Relevant MSc is a plus.

    Skills and Competencies

    • In-depth knowledge of cement production and refractory process.
    • In-depth knowledge of product quality parameters and quality.
    • Good verbal and written communication skills.
    • Strong people management and analytical skills.
