    Country Director

    ActionAid Nigeria is seeking a committed and inspiring Country Director to drive the implementation of its Country Strategy and lead on providing quality program management and accountability systems; organizational and team development; financial control and resource management; fundraising and liaison with donors to increase and diversify the resource base; policy, research and advocacy; relationship and stakeholder management at local, national and international levels.

    Qualification & Experience:

    • The candidate must possess minimum of Masters degree in a relevant field, a higher degree will be an added advantage.
    • She/ He must have at least 5 years’ experience in an Executive Management position and 20 years cumulative experience; with proven track record in leading and managing institutions and development programs, as well as having a strong presence in civil society and social movement in Africa, and Nigeria in particular.
    • S/he should have strong analytical skills and understanding of the international political economy, particularly the Nigerian socio-economic and political context.
    • S/he should be committed to gender equity, empowering management practices, be values driven and possess strong networking, human resources and financial management skills. S/he will have the perspectives and competencies for fundraising and donor relations; regional and international linkages and a sound basis of organizational development cum systems strengthening. The candidate must have excellent communication skills.

    Duration

    Three years fixed term contract (Renewable once).
