    Legal Officer

    Job Description

    • Are you a skilled Legal Officer seeking a dynamic environment to showcase your talent? CEMCS Ltd is recruiting highly skilled, experienced and qualified candidate to fill the position of a Legal Officer who will work with the Management and other team members in safeguarding the legal interests of the organization and ensuring adherence to applicable laws and regulations.
    • Prepare legal documents, contracts, and agreements with precision and attention to detail.
    • Compliance Monitoring: Ensure organizational compliance with relevant laws and regulations, keeping policies and procees documents up-to-date in E-Library.
    • Contract Review: Review and negotiate contracts to safeguard the organization's interest.
    • Case Management: Manage legal cases, including coordination with external legal counsel, if necessary.
    • Policy Development: Contribute to the development and enhancement of organizational policies to align with legal requirements and staying informed.

    Required Qualifications

    • Bachelor of Laws (LLB) Degree from a reputable institution
    • Call to the Bar. Be a qualified barrister or solicitor to the Nigerian Bar
    • 2 years experience and above in a similar or higher position

    Required Skills:

    • Excellent analytical skills to assess legal issues and provide sound advice.
    • Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills for effective interaction with clients, colleagues, and external parties
    • Proficient in conducting thorough legal research using various sources
    • Strong ability to carefully draft and/or review legal documents, contracts, and agreements
    • Effective problem-solving skills to navigate complex legal issues
    • In-depth knowledge of Nigerian laws and regulations, including an understanding of the legal system and court procedures.
    • Skills in alternative dispute resolution methods and litigation management.
    • Document Management Knowledge - keeping custody and record of all documents, procees and policy documents.
