    Procurement Manager - Supermarket Operations

    Job Description

    • Our client is seeking a talented and experienced Procurement Manager with a background in supermarket operations.
    • You be responsible for managing the procurement process, ensuring cost-effectiveness, quality, and efficiency in the supply chain for the brand.

    Responsibilities

    • Develop and implement a comprehensive procurement strategy aligned with the company's objectives and supermarket operations.
    • Identify opportunities for cost savings and process optimization.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts and ensuring favorable terms.
    • Evaluate and qualify suppliers based on quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
    • Conduct regular cost analysis to identify areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvement.
    • Collaborate with finance teams to optimize budgetary considerations.
    • Oversee inventory levels, ensuring optimal stock levels to meet demand and prevent stockouts.
    • Implement inventory control measures to minimize waste and losses.
    • Collaborate with suppliers to ensure product quality meets established standards.
    • Implement quality assurance measures within the procurement process.
    • Ensure procurement processes comply with relevant regulations and company policies.
    • Identify and mitigate potential risks in the supply chain.
    • Collaborate with operations, logistics, and finance teams to ensure seamless integration of procurement processes.
    • Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to understand their requirements.
    • Generate reports on procurement performance, supplier metrics, and cost savings.
    • Utilize data analytics to make informed decisions and optimize procurement strategies.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; relevant certifications are a plus.
    • 4+ years of proven experience as a Procurement Manager with a focus on supermarket operations.
    • Strong understanding of supermarket supply chain dynamics and procurement best practices.
    • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
    • Analytical mindset with the ability to use data to drive decision-making.
    • Familiarity with procurement software and tools.

    Salary
    N250,000 Monthly.
