    Prescriptive & Technical Sales Manager

    Description

    We are currently looking for a exceptionally driven Prescriptive & Technical Sales Manager who will collaborate closely with both internal and external stakeholders to formulate and execute the strategic plan for the building segment.

    In this role, your responsibilities will include establishing and executing the prescriptive sales strategy while implementing technical sales initiatives. Working closely with both internal and external partners, you will analyze customer needs, develop creative solutions, and deliver persuasive value propositions to key customers in the construction sector.

    Key Duties and Responsibilities

    • Support the country market strategy and ensure an increase in market share compared to other materials, achieving higher margins and improving the product mix.
    • Analyze market trends in the building segment, identify the sub-segments, and compare with key players (e.g., brick, steel). Meet selected construction companies, developers, architects, authorities, and owners to understand their needs in the segment.
    • Select priority sub-segments, evaluate their value for DCP, determine the desired market share, and set the target EBITDA generated from these selected segments.
    • Analyze the opportunity for each application (e.g., wall, foundation, roof, slab) in these priority sub-segments, particularly for wall application (including mortars and blocks) and slabs/floors (VAP, screeds) and hardscaping.
    • Create and develop a value proposition for key sub-segments, define the desired market share, and devise an action plan accordingly.
    • Provide support for the provision of cement/hydraulic binder solutions for soil stabilization in roads and rigid pavement in concrete for Nigerian Roads.
    • Collaborate with DCP in other countries to adopt best practices in corporate customer segment solutions and share any breakthroughs achieved.
    • Support in new product development, conduct market intelligence on viability, and assist with the launch.
    • Develop and implement prescriptive selling strategies to meet sales targets.
    • Identify potential customers, offer technical expertise and support throughout the sales process.
    • Educate customers on the technical features and benefits of our products.
    • Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities.

    Requirements

    Academic / Professional Qualifications:

    • A degree in Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Chemistry, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field is required.
    • Additionally, a minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in a similar role is necessary.

    Accounts Officer, AGO Inventory

    Description

    We are seeking a skilled AGO Inventory Account Officer who will be responsible for overseeing all inventory transactions and ensuring the integrity and precision of inventory costs.

    Key Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Organize and coordinate scheduled physical inventory counts and cycle counts in accordance with DCP's inventory management policies and identify any deviations.
    • Create and track discrepancies in the AGO shortages management system.
    • Review the necessary documents provided by the Transporters for payment.
    • Ensure proper documentation and records are maintained for transporter documentation.
    • Collaborate with the Inventory Operations and Logistics team to streamline inventory movement and reduce discrepancies.
    • Efficiently and effectively receive incoming items and release outgoing items.
    • Evaluate stock value after each count and identify and dispose of any obsolete or unused stock.
    • Revalue inventory periodically using the newly approved standard rates.
    • Maintain the general ledger for DCP's inventory.
    • Perform period closing and related activities to reconcile inventory with the general ledger.

    Education and Work Experience:

    • Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in Accounting or related discipline.
    • Professional certification from a recognized body (e.g. ICAN, ACCA) will be an added advantage.
    • 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience.

    Skills and Competencies:

    • Good understanding of trends, challenges, opportunities, regulations and legislations relating to the cement manufacturing industry.
    • Advanced accounting knowledge, including experience with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
    • Working knowledge and demonstrated experience in the use of accounting packages and systems, including SAP.

    • Developing and executing digital marketing strategies - Devise comprehensive digital marketing strategies aimed at achieving the organization's business objectives. This may entail identifying target audiences, choosing suitable digital channels, and producing engaging content.
    • Managing social media presence - Oversee DCP's presence on popular social media platforms, such as Facebook, X, Instagram, LinkedIn, and others. This entails developing and planning posts, addressing comments and messages, and evaluating social media metrics to enhance performance.
    • Content creation and Management - Participate in the creation of diverse forms of content, such as photos, videos, infographics, and more.     CCR/DCS Operators - Cement Plant

    Job Summary

    Responsible for operating and controlling the Cement Plant process through the Distributed Control System (DCS) and the Central Control Room (CCR). This includes monitoring the performance of equipment, troubleshooting operational issues, and ensuring smooth and efficient plant operation.

    Key Duties and Responsibilities

    • Operate the DCS to control and monitor the operation of the Cement Plant machinery, including Kilns, Raw Mills, Cement Mills, and auxiliary equipment.
    • Ensure the production process is running at optimal conditions to achieve targeted production quantities and quality standards.
    • Troubleshoot operational problems and take corrective actions to minimize downtime and maintain continuous operation.
    • Coordinate with plant patrollers and production attendants to ensure smooth and safe plant operation.
    • Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment for all personnel.
