Account Officer at a Community Healthcare Organization

BACKGROUND

A Community Healthcare Organization in Lagos involved in TB and HIV is in need of a full-time account officer for an ASAP resumption to support the team. 

ROLES AND PURPOSE

• Support Accountant, and other staff in assigned office, and project-based work.
• Engage in banking transactions, including deposit, withdrawals of funds, PENCOM, WHT and PAYE remittance.
• Assist in preparing financial reports by compiling information, preparing profit and loss statements, monthly closing and cost accounting reports and utilizing appropriate accounting control procedures to maintain budgets.
• Ensuring timely and accurate invoicing, stocktaking, monitors receivables in general and ensure expenditure control.
• Understanding basic revenue models, understands our pricing model and billing procedures.
• Prepare the tax returns of both individual staff and the company in general.
• Compile and assess all client's financial information, including capturing and tracking of fixed asset management, and depreciation.
• Monitor and review accounting and related system reports for accuracy and completeness, and investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies within his jurisdiction
• Prepare and review budget, revenue, expense, payroll entries, invoices, and other accounting documents.
• Managing related project budget under supervision of the accountant.
• Recommend, develop and maintain financial databases, computer software systems and manual filing systems.
• Supervise the input and handling of financial data and reports for the company's automated financial systems
• Must be knowledgeable on QuickBooks software.
• Baseline healthcare knowledge, especially in community health is a plus but not required.
• Show highest level of confidentiality in and out of the office.
• Other duties as may be assigned.
