Our client, a reputable company, is seeking a qualified and experienced Accounts Officer to join their team. This role is based in Victoria Island, Lagos.

• Always keep records of creditors for management information.
• Check bank reconciliation and updating of cashbooks.
• Must be skillful in using Sage Business Cloud Accounting Software
• Monthly payroll processing and reconciliations.
• Maintaining the accurate and timely processing of general ledger reconciliation and journal entries.
• Ensuring accurate and timely accounting reporting; monthly, quarterly, and year-end close.
• Post sales and purchase invoices to ledgers.
• Receive all invoices for jobs and process payments to vendors.
• Post journal entries to Accounting system.
• Assist with month-end closing procedures and ensure timely completion.
• Manage petty cash and prepare regular reconciliations.
• Liaise with external auditors during annual audits.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records in compliance with Nigerian accounting standards

Requirements

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related course
• Either ATS Certification or ICAN/ACCA Certification in view or completed
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as an Accounts Officer or similar role.
• Proven understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.).
• Must resident in Victoria Island and Environs.
• In-depth knowledge and experience with Sage Business Cloud accounting software is a must.
