Our client is seeking an innovative and strategic Business Development Lead with a passion for health and community outreach to lead business operations in Umuahia. This leadership role requires a proactive individual who can identify growth opportunities, build meaningful partnerships, and drive sustainable business growth.
Principal Duties / Responsibilities
Strategic Business Growth
- Develop and implement comprehensive business strategies to drive revenue growth and market expansion, with a particular focus on the health and community outreach sectors.
- Lead business initiatives that align with the company’s vision of sustainability, technology integration, and community impact, ensuring measurable results and profitability.
- Identify new market opportunities in Umuahia and surrounding regions, including product diversification and service innovation, to strengthen market presence.
Leadership & People Management
- Lead, mentor, and inspire a cross-functional team, fostering a culture of collaboration, performance excellence, and continuous improvement.
- Develop a leadership pipeline and ensure that the team is aligned with the company’s strategic goals while encouraging individual and collective growth.
- Oversee talent acquisition, development, and retention efforts to build a high-performing team that drives business success.
Sales & Marketing Leadership
- Lead the sales and marketing teams in the creation and execution of effective campaigns to promote the company’s health and insurance products, driving market penetration and customer engagement.
- Analyze market trends and customer feedback to refine sales strategies, optimize product offerings, and position the company as a leader in the local market.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Experience: Proven track record in a senior business development or leadership role, ideally within the insurance, health, or insurtech sectors, with demonstrated success in driving growth and managing operations.
- Skills: Strong business acumen, with a deep understanding of health outreach, technology, and community engagement. Exceptional leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Healthcare, or a related field. An MBA or advanced degree is preferred.
