    Business Support Officer

    Job Summary

    UnifiedTrust Network (UTN) is building Africa's foremost security and trust infrastructure service offering AccessGate- An estate security solution deployed across Nigeria; Secure Access Layer- a verified access system for workers and contractors; and Digitization- transforming manual identity and compliance processes into secure digital workflows. As our Business Support Officer, you will be the operational backbone of the company; bridging teams, managing workflows, supporting client relationships, and ensuring the business runs efficiently at every level. This is a high-impact generalist role for someone who thrives in a fast-moving startup environment and is equally comfortable drafting a report, onboarding a client, or coordinating a cross-functional project.

    Key Responsibilities

    Operations & Administration

    • Manage day-to-day business operations, including scheduling, documentation, vendor coordination, and office administration.
    • Develop and maintain internal process documentation, SOPs, and operational workflows.
    • Track and report on key business metrics and operational KPIs to the Head of Strategic Operations and leadership team.
    • Coordinate procurement of tools, subscriptions, and resources needed across teams.

    Sales & Client Support

    • Support the sales team with proposal preparation, pitch deck formatting, and client documentation.
    • Assist with enterprise client onboarding; coordinating between product, compliance, and the client.
    • Manage client communications, follow-ups, and relationship touchpoints to ensure client satisfaction.
    • Maintain CRM records, track pipeline stages, and produce regular sales activity reports.

    Strategy & Partnerships

    • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to support business development decisions. 
    • Assist in preparing materials for investor updates, partnership meetings, and regulatory engagements.
    • Support partnership coordination with government agencies, gig platforms, and enterprise clients.
    • Track deliverables and timelines across strategic projects and flag risks to leadership early.

    People & Cross-functional support

    • Support HR functions including recruitment coordination, onboarding logistics, and staff documentation.
    • Serve as the connective tissue between product, sales, compliance, and leadership teams.
    • Plan and coordinate internal team meetings, retreats, and external business events.

     Compliance & Confidentiality

    • Handle sensitive information with strict confidentiality. 
    • Ensure compliance with NDPC and company data protection policies. 
    • Adhere to company ethics, compliance, and operational standards. 

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field, Business Administration, Management, or related discipline.
    • Graduate with up to 2 years of experience in a business support, operations, or administrative role.
    • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
    • Strong written & verbal communication skills, Customer service orientation and time management skills
    • Report Writing and Documentation
    • Proficiency in Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, CRM and project tools (Notion, Trello, or similar).
    • Experience working in a startup, tech, or fintech environment is a strong advantage.
    • Familiarity with Nigerian regulatory landscape (NDPC, CBN, NIMC) is a plus.

    CONTRACT TERMS

    • This role includes a 3-month probationary period, after which a satisfactory performance review leads to a permanent contract with a salary review.
