    Content and Social Media Specialist

    Job Description

    • We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Content and Social Media Specialist to join our dynamic team. This role is crucial in driving James Hope University’s content initiatives across all relevant platforms, supporting our sales and marketing goals.
    • The ideal candidate is a creative and original thinker who can produce high-quality content without relying on AI.

    Responsibilities

    • Develop and execute a comprehensive content strategy aligned with James Hope University’s marketing and sales objectives.
    • Create engaging and original content for various platforms, including social media, blogs, emails, press releases, marketing materials, and sales copy.
    • Manage and grow our social media presence across platforms such as LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube.
    • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and implement content marketing campaigns that drive brand awareness, engagement, and conversions.
    • Monitor and analyze content performance, using insights to optimize strategies and improve results.
    • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to ensure content remains relevant and effective.
    • Work closely with internal stakeholders, including faculty and leadership, to create compelling stories and highlight key achievements.
    • Ensure all content aligns with the university’s brand voice and communication values.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
    • Proven experience in content creation and social media management, preferably in an educational or corporate environment.
    • Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a keen eye for detail.
    • Strong understanding of social media platforms, trends, and analytics tools.
    • Ability to create original, engaging, and high-quality content without relying on AI.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
    • Creative thinker with a passion for storytelling and innovation.

    Skills:

    • Experience with content management systems (CMS) and email marketing platforms.
    • Knowledge of SEO best practices and digital marketing strategies.
    • Background in education is a plus.
