Controller – West-Africa at Lumos

Lumos Group is looking for a self-driven and ambitious controller, to assist and control the teams in Nigeria and other countries. You will directly report to the Deputy CFO for Nigeria and Global CFO and you are responsible to for and drive:

• Excellent financial reporting and providing deep insights in the financial and non-financial performance of the Lumos Group.
• The implementation of best-in-class processes, internal controls and reporting thereon.
• The continuous development of the local Finance Teams.

• At least 5 years’experience as financeprofessional with a progressive careerpath

• Hands-on experience with ERP systems
• Big 4 experience is an added advantage
• Msc /Bsc /HND in Accountancy/ Financecombined with ICAN, ACCA (equivalent) is preferred
• Fluency in English and French 
• High integrity is a must.

Your responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include:

1. Strategic Planning:
   • Develop and implement financialstrategies aligned with business objectives.
   • Collaborate with senior management to establish financial goals and priorities.
2. Financial Planning:
   • Prepare and manage annual budgets, forecasts, and financialmodels.
   • Conduct variance analyses and provide explanations for deviations.
   • Develop and maintain financial plans, including capitaland revenue expenditures
3. Financial Analysis:
   • Analyze financial performance, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities.
   • Provide insightful financial reporting and dashboards.
   • Report and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) across cost and profit centers in the business.
4. Decision Support:
   • Provide financial guidance to business leadersand departments.
   • Conduct ad-hoc financial analysesto inform business decisions.
   • Develop business cases and ROI analyses for strategic initiatives.
5. Team Management:
   • Lead and manage a team of financial analysts and planners.
   • Mentor and coach team members to enhance skills and expertise.
   • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
6. Compliance and Governance:
   • Ensure compliance with financialregulations, policies, and procedures.
   • Maintain accurate financial recordsand documentation.
   • Manage internal controls and risk management processes.
7. Communication:
   • Present financial results and insights to senior management and stakeholders.
   • Communicate financial plans, budgets, and forecasts to departments.
   • Develop and maintain relationships with external partners(e.g., auditors, bankers).
