Design Engineer at Sandstream Nigeria Limited

Responsibilities

• Provide conceptual designs, yield forecasts and financial forecasts.
• Support design and technical colleagues with site surveys and feasibility assessments
• To manage the development of cost effective design and engineering solutions and deliver complete design packages for project proposals.
• Production of technical specifications and drawings using AutoCAD
• Execute designs that adhere to grid compliance and permitting requirements
• Work across functionally with sales, project management and installation teams to ensure clients’ needs and internal deadlines are met
• Operate within the company’s Construction Design Management procedures
• Support the specification of components for the procurement process
• Assist in the survey of potential future projects
• Represent the company at external events where required

Qualifications

• Candidate with at least 1 year experience in doing dedicated Solar PV Design will be given preference
• Someone working towards Chartered status or COREN would be preferred
• Strong working knowledge in PVSYST and AutoCAD
• Has knowledge in electrical design concepts
