    Electrical Technician

    Job Summary

    To ensure operational stability, improvement of equipment conditions, and accomplishment of the production targets through the execution of mechanical maintenance activities (predictive, preventive, and corrective), always complying with all the HSE regulations and OEM guidelines.

    Main Responsibilities

    • Ensures the Company meets all its maintenance obligations and KPIs in the field.
    • Provide technical assistance and advice to maintenance technicians and assigned staff.
    • Participates in the rebuilding of equipment by disassembling, cleaning, ordering replacement parts, repairing electrical and instrumentation malfunctions, reassembling, and testing equipment using OEM-recommended guidelines and procedures
    • Prepares and maintains a variety of records and reports, including timesheets, HSE reports, maintenance/repair reports, drawings, and specifications.
    • Submits timely daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly reports as specified in the Company’s contracts.
    • Attends site meetings with customers and responds to inquiries and complaints.
    • Ensures the timely completion of preventive and predictive maintenance programs and recommends special work or necessary equipment maintenance following OEM guidelines.
    • Proposes new operational methods and techniques to enhance equipment performance and optimization.
    • Ensures implementation of OEM product support or product improvement programs.
    • Participates in Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) for any major and catastrophic equipment failure and coordinates corrective actions to prevent re-occurrence and minimize equipment downtime.
    • Maintains good working relationships with customer field operations and maintenance teams
    • Ensures the proper use of all the resources assigned by the Company to the section e.g., tools, stationery, etc.
    • Coaches Junior Electrical and Instrumentation Technicians on OEM-recommended maintenance procedures.
    • Uses appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for all assigned task
    • Prepares Job Safety Analysis (JSA) reviews for maintenance activities
    • Ensures subordinates on site observe and comply with all Customer-mandated safety rules, regulations, and protocols.
    • Conducts daily toolbox and educates employees on rules, regulations, safe work habits, and potential hazards presented by their work environment.
    • Adheres to company and customer’s Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE) requirements and regulations.
    • Complies with all company and customer security management systems, emergency evacuations, fire drills, waste management systems, and journey management systems.
    • Maintains good housekeeping and keeps the site and equipment in the best possible conditions of Safety, Order, and Cleaning.

    Educational Qualifications and Skills

    • Degree or Diploma in Electrical, Electronic, or Computer Engineering 
    • 10 years minimum experience in similar jobs.
    • OEM-conducted practical/hands-on certification training 
    • Hands-on experience with the operation, maintenance, repair, and overhaul of diesel and gas engines, gas generators and alternators, and gas compressors
    • Proficiency in the use of hand tools, measurement tools, special tools, and alignment and vibration monitoring tools
    • Good knowledge of PC tools (Microsoft Office)
    • Good interpersonal and communication skills
    • Willingness to train and transfer knowledge to the rest of the team
    • Leadership skills: must be able to multi-task, & perform under pressure
    • Must have the attitude to learn and repeat processes, and teach others
    • Hands-on experience with the operation and programming of Murphy, Altronic, Bently-Nevada, Allen Bradley, CAT, and Waukesha control systems and panels.
