    Head of Medical

    Job Description

    • The Head of Medicals requires executives to hold the effective leadership skills to guide an entire healthcare team and implement valid action plans.
    • He will Have a strong business acumen as he will manage the medical staff, nurses, lab scientists and all staff in the medical unit to ensure the smooth running of the diagnostic centre.
    • Working hand-in-hand with the Head of Admin, He will possess good organizational skills to track goal achievement, manage a budget, and keep personnel records.

    Job Overview and Duties

    • Ensuring that patients receive the highest standard of diagnostic care available in the centre.
    • Recommending and mentoring consultant doctors, physicians, lab scientists, nurses etc.
    • With support from the head of Admin, develop and manage the diagnostics’ center’s budget.
    • Finding new and improved ways to improve clinical services in the centre.
    • Liaising between administration and medical staff.
    • Being responsible for the performance of physicians under his supervision.
    • Ensuring that all healthcare regulations and safety standards are met.
    • Apply clinical knowledge and skills in the diagnosis and treatment of diagnostics’ center’s patients / clients without any form of sentiment or bias.
    • Liaise with the consultants and specialists on patients’ medical condition.
    • Maintain complete and accurate documentation of patients’’ lab results and encounter.
    • Provide health education and supports to patients and their relatives in a detailed manner.
    • Keeping staff updated on new healthcare regulations.
    • Reporting to the Chairman of all relevant information.

    Requirements

    • Master of Health Administration (MHA) or Master of Business Administration (MBA) advantageous.
    • 5 years’ experience preferably managing a diagnostics centre
    • Valid medical license.
    • Good organizational skills.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Exceptional interpersonal skills.
