    Human Resource Business Partner (HRBP) - Banking Sector

    Job Overview

    • We are currently sourcing for candidates to be recruited as Human Resource Business Partner. The ideal candidate will be in charge of staffing requirements and management.
    • The ideal candidate should have the ability to develop and execute strategies to identify, attract, select and deploy the best talent to execute the assigned business units objectives and goals.

    Job Description

    • Develop and manage a pipeline of candidates to meet the needs and demands of businesses assigned
    • Identify hiring needs and develop job descriptions and specifications and deploy strategies to attract and retain talents for businesses
    • Establish selection criteria/requirement for the vacant position and collate, sort, and shortlist qualified applicants for vacant positions
    • Set strategies for managing the assigned business units manpower requirement and ensure proper utilization of existing human resources to meet organizational objectives.
    • Serve as the internal consultant to the designated units on people-related issues
    • Co-ordinate and participate in the recruitment and selection process to fill vacancies in the designated units
    • Ensure that on-boarding process of new staff joining the designated unit is seamless
    • Liaise with Group L&D to organize in-house trainings and workshops for all staff in the designated units
    • Promote the sale of HR products and services to the designated and facilitate the implementation of same. Promote the usage of HR tools by the designated to achieve designated and organizational goals
    • Support the respective unit heads in the implementation of the performance management policy, ensuring the calendar is adhered to and quality standards are met
    • Participate in strategic review sessions for in-depth understanding of the designated units’ needs. Proactively generate insightful reports and analysis using people data in aiding decision making, triggering innovation and managing (or averting) potential people risks
    • Educate the designated units on the impact of business changes on staff and consequently productivity
    • Support the designated areas in managing transformation and change
    • Manage conduct and disciplinary issues in the designated units
    • Provide feedback on recruitment and training to the HR leadership team to help improve quality of service delivery
    • Own HR projects (or parts of projects) for the units supported or for HR itself and support the entire team in their implementation
    • Perform other functions as assigned by the Country Head HR
    • Evaluate and prepare projections of manpower requirements in branches/Strategic Business Units
    • Determines optimum staffing levels for each business unit taking into consideration, the activities and the peculiarities of the business unit.
    • Prepare Manpower budget for the assigned businesses and manage the implementation of the manpower budget.
    • Orients new hires regarding bank’s policies, procedures and benefits.

    Qualification and Experience

    • A good First Degree in any discipline. Relevant Masters’ degree will be an advantage
    • At least 6 years’ experience in Human Resource Management preferably with exposure in financial services industry
    • Demonstrated analytical thinking, problem solving, and decision making skills. Critical thinker with success in developing innovative solutions to business issues.
    • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
    • Demonstrated credibility and integrity in communications to ensure information flows upward and downward.
    • Proficient in MS Office – Knowledge of HRMS is a plus.
