    Inventory Auditor

    Location: Lekki, Lagos
    Start Date: Immediately

    Job Summary

    • Inventory auditor is responsible for ensuring accurate counts of inventory stock, identify discrepancies and must document it according to company protocols.
    • Ensure to find the source of the inaccuracy, and find ways to reduce or eliminate future inventory errors.

    Job Description

    • The Inventory is at the heart of efficiency at Vitalvida.
    • The Inventory Auditor is crucial to support lean production efficiency drive.
    • Manage flow of inventory in a manner that efficiently manage flow of information to accommodate forecasted demand from Production
    • Monitor material usage for efficiency and minimise operational wastage
    • Clear inventory at all times from gluts by raising issues when inventory levels are high; and shortage when inventory levels are low
    • Oversee stock counting exercises for preciseness and against errors.

    Duties

    • Work with the head of production to plan usage of materials
    • Define monthly inventory levels for all materials in custody
    • Review the Bill of Material templates for all products to develop an understanding of raw material needs per product
    • Establish workflow policies that enhance speed and efficiency without compromising product safety or integrity
    • Forecast inventory requirements weekly
    • Review sales forecasts and customer demands to understand the product demands in the market for each season
    • Plan the procurement process based on the production plan forecast, available raw materials and lead time
    • Provide inventory data to the accounting department weekly.

    Inventory Order Management:

    • Monitor movement of goods in the inventory stores i.e. receiving and delivering goods from the warehouse
    • Monitor raw materials in warehouse and finished goods in inventory stores for space management and proper management
    • Monitor stock levels in raw materials warehouse and finished products stores to ensure efficient inventory management
    • Evaluate raw materials waste vis-a-via production efficiency and capacity and report to management
    • Monitor monthly stock usage.

    Stock Counting:

    • Plan for monthly stock counting exercise with Audit
    • Ensure that inventory count figures is at fingertips at any point
    • Ensure complete stock accounting of raw materials and finished goods.

    Responsibilities

    • Document counts of all inventory received in the warehouse
    • Do counts of all merchandise housed with delivery agents
    • Perform continuous accuracy check of inventory stock quantity records of material control and accounting purposes.
    • Review inventory reports and locate discrepancies in data.
    • Perform financial reporting by importing current audits and past audits in order to compare and contrast in Google sheet, Interview Telesales Reps, Delivery Agents in order to verify questionable store.
    • Execute the closing process/journal entries reporting by generating a report for management.
    • Virtually count inventory using the equipment, with a primary focus on accuracy and control.
    • Work with teams of varying sizes while maintaining proper workflow procedures.
    • Routinely check over delivery agents to ensure maximum control against thefts and general losses.

    Budgeting and Reporting:

    • Establish workflow policies that enhance speed and efficiency without compromising product safety or integrity
    • Align with production manager on cost control programs
    • Analyse budget, continuously control procurement cost; identify
    • Prepare and maintain regular inventory reports
    • Communicate any problems or obstacles to senior management
    • Evaluate performance and advise accordingly.
    • Prepare procurement plans and progress reports as required
    • Assist in measuring and assessing the performance of the company
    • Establish performance goals for procurement and inventory department.
    • Monitor and report various metrics used by the department.

    Innovation and Process Improvement:

    • Suggest and support improvement process within the production process
    • Recommend cost reduction initiatives
    • Suggest process improvements to enhance production quality and capacity
    • Develop production program and guidelines to support company objectives

    Qualifications

    • Minimum of First Degree
    • Four (4) years of warehouse Audit experience, preferably in inventory
    • Proficiency in use of Excel and ERP’s
    • The ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
    • Must be able to work physically in Lekki Phase 1.
