    Legal Officer (Real Estate)

    • We are looking for a Legal Officer with proven experience working in a real estate firm to join our organisation, a leading real estate firm in Lagos, Nigeria.
    • We are looking for someone who will be responsible for ensuring legal compliance in our operations, reviewing contract agreements and property transactions and advising on any legal issues that may come up.

    Responsibilities:

    • Contract Review and Drafting: Draft and review all legal documents related to all our real estate transactions
    • Due Diligence: Carry out legal due diligence on all relevant documents to identify any legal issues
    • Compliance: Ensure compliance with all regulations governing real estate transactions and operations.
    • Litigation Management: Liaise with external solicitors
    • Negotiation: Negotiate with contractors, tenants, and governmental entities.
    • Legal Advice: Provide legal advice and guidance to internal stakeholders on real estate matters, including property development, zoning, and land use.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB) and must have been called to the Nigerian Bar
    • Proven experience as a Legal Officer with experience in a real estate firm.
    • In-depth knowledge of legal conveyancing.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound legal judgments.
    • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
    • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
    • Outspoken and able to provide alternative opinions
