    Legal Policy Regulatory and Governance Graduate Officer

    Roles and Responsibilities

    • Monitoring and advising on all legal matters, commercial contracts, and agreements.
    • Drafting and negotiating corporate agreements.
    • Handling company secretarial duties.
    • Advising on corporate governance matters; and ensuring compliance with relevant statutory and corporate governance practices and guidelines.
    • Providing legal input on the deployment of products and services, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
    • Managing intellectual property of the group including filings, renewals, and making recommendations as required.
    • Development and ensuring compliance with corporate policies and procedures.
    • Manage and coordinate litigation and dispute resolution activities.
    • Managing procurement, engagement and interfaces with external counsel.
    • Supporting legal due diligence on Tongston’s target investee companies.
    • Providing legal advice and support on a wide range of corporate law matters.
    • Advising on legal and regulatory matters impacting the company's operational, business and strategic initiatives.

    Education, Experience and Skills

    • At least 2 years’ experience in a law firm focused on commercial / corporate law.
    • LLB in law or equivalent legal qualification from an accredited institution of learning.
    • License to Practice in Nigeria and any other common law jurisdictions will be an added advantage with a strong preference for qualification to practice as a Solicitor in England & Wales.
    • Relevant legal qualifications, either solicitor, barrister or CILEX.
    • Strong legal experience in corporate and commercial matters.
    • Good negotiation skills.
    • Excellent contractual drafting skills.
    • Experience in handling corporate secretariat matters.
    • Strong attention to detail.
    • Self-motivated and takes initiative.
    • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
    • Possess Entrepreneurial attitude, skills and knowledge.
    • Proficient in the use of Microsoft office tools - PowerPoint word and excel.
    • Ability to work independently and to manage multiple projects.
    • High integrity, ethics and work standards.
    • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
