Logistics Supervisor at Oilserv Limited

Job Summary

• The Logistics Supervisor will be responsible for managing and coordinating the daily operations of the Base logistics department. This includes managing the distribution of goods and persons while ensuring efficient customer service
• The Logistics Supervisor will be a key leader in developing and implementing strategies and plans to improve efficiency and customer service.

Responesibilities

• Manage and coordinate the organization, staffing, and operational activities as required
• Participate in the development and implementation of goals, objectives, policies, and priorities of the department
• Direct and review work plan 
• Implement appropriate safety guidelines and investigate injuries or unsafe conditions
• Develop pick up/delivery schedules and strategies
• Maintain accurate records and files of assets
• Meet with staff to identify and resolve problems
• Select, train, motivate, and evaluate assigned personnel
• Implement discipline and termination procedures
• Monitoring insurance coverage and personnel licenses to ensure compliance with company and regulatory policies
• Develop a maintenance reports on all logistics assets   
• Prepare and present logistics reports and other correspondence as appropriate and necessary
• Planning routes for delivery trucks to take based on traffic patterns and road conditions
• Any other work as assigned 

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree/OND/HND in relevant degree
• 3-5 years’ experience in a logistics or supply chain management role
• Have a valid driver’s license and must know how to drive
• In depth knowledge of Abuja/Environs
• In depth knowledge of cars 
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to communicate at all levels
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize work
• Organizational and planning skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office package including Outlook
