Typical work activities

As one of the engines of the company and because you interact with people from both inside and outside the organisation. Tasks are likely to include, but not limited to:

• Plan with Finance and Business managers to source the right products, best vendors and distributors
• Negotiate best prices and outcomes with suppliers and customers
• Plan and implement logistical strategy, ensuring targets are met
• Implement product storage, handling and distribution
• Track goods from origin to delivery via phone calls, emails or in person. Ensure you're aware of exactly what is happening throughout the supply chain
• Work on forecasts and inventories, keeping an accurate record of the process and analysing performance
• Excellent use of Business/accounting software such as, Sage50 and Microsoft office
• Develop new and existing relationships with suppliers and distributors
• Manage and minimise the risks (for example operational or reputational) that could affect or interrupt the supply chain Inventory management

Qualification:

• Must possess at least a B. Sc or BA or equivalent degree
• 1 -3 years’ experience in this capacity

RENUMERATION:

• Very attractive to include up to a 3% commission on all sales made by the logistics and supply chain specialist.
