MIicrobiology Officer at Flour Mills of Nigeria Plc

PURPOSE

To assist and support the Microbiologist in ensuring water and products are safe and wholesome for consumption and within NIS standards.

THE DUTIES

• Samples collection from different locations.
• Media preparation and sterilization.
• Cleaning of glassware and sterilization.
• Perform water analysis.
• Analysis of raw materials, intermediate and finished products.
• General laboratory hygiene maintenance and equipment cleaning.
• Maintains accurate logbooks and complete documentation as required.
• Develop and maintain validation in all protocols for various environmental controls.
• Perform test on component samples, identify any contamination, and initiate corrective measures.
• Assist in the maintenance GMP and food safety culture.

THE PERSON MUST  

• Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills in a multi-cultural and multi-lingual environment.
• Excellent skills in lab testing and analysis.
• Possess good use of equipment for culturing and physio-chemical analysis of water.
• Must have good housekeeping skills.
• Be able to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

QUALIFICATION

• BSc/HND/B.Eng. Civil Engineering.
• COREN, NSE, and PMP will be an added advantage.

EXPERIENCE

• At least 5 years of cognate experience.
