    National Logistics Manager

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

    • The role occasionally involves travel away from home.
    • Familiarity with inventory management systems.
    • Superb negotiation, collaboration, and communication abilities.
    • Ensuring Third Party warehouse stocks is with zero variance.
    • Use appropriate process systems to manage stock levels, delivery times and transport costs.
    • Put in place systems to coordinate and control the order cycle.
    • Allocate and manage staff resources according to changing need.
    • Liaise and negotiate with transporters for supplies.
    • Develop business by gaining new contracts, analyzing logistical problems, and producing new solutions.
    • Understand work and possibly help to develop smooth logistic flow.
    • Continually try to improve and develop business performance within the constraints of legislation, fuel costs and rising environmental pressures
    • Motivate other members of the team set objective
    • Plan vehicle routes.
    • Use specialist knowledge, to provide consultancy services - this may be a requirement in support team on some roles.
    • Follow-Up the existing route Plan for Inter & Intra-City
    • Motivating the team to follow the established schedules of deliveries and try to improve.
    • Ensuring Utilization & Maximization of Vehicle up to payloads
    • Monitoring and gathering the data for daily Vehicle tracking sheets – Follow-up for deliveries.
    • Prepare the daily / weekly / Monthly vehicle tracking sheets including the transit lead-Time & actual delivery lead time with deviations.
    • Ensuring for POD collection, filing and preparing the POD tracking report for every Invoice
    • Partake in stock count on monthly, quarterly, and periodic bases and reconcile any variance (overage or shortage) of stock within stipulated time

    QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

    • B.Sc. in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management or relevant  certifications in this field
    • Minimum of 3 years’ cognate experience in a related role, at a Food & Beverages or Appliances & Electronics Warehouse
    • Knowledge on various Fleet sizes
    • Knowledge on Vehicle act & Govt. rules & regulations about the fleet management
    • Good communication and interpersonal skills
    • Excellent organizational skills
    • Problem solving and negotiation ability.
    • Good knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet skills
    • High-level proficiency in written and spoken English (Hausa or Yoruba Languages)
